بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the name of God; The All-Gracious, The All-Merciful.
تِلْكَ ءَايَـٰتُ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ ٱلْمُبِينِ ﴿٢﴾
[26:2] These are the proofs of this clarifying scripture.
لَعَلَّكَ بَـٰخِعٌ نَّفْسَكَ أَلَّا يَكُونُوا۟ مُؤْمِنِينَ ﴿٣﴾
[26:3] You may blame yourself because they are not believers.
إِن نَّشَأْ نُنَزِّلْ عَلَيْهِم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ ءَايَةً فَظَلَّتْ أَعْنَـٰقُهُمْ لَهَا خَـٰضِعِينَ ﴿٤﴾
[26:4] If We will, We could send down from the sky a sign that makes them bow their necks humbly.
وَمَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن ذِكْرٍ مِّنَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ مُحْدَثٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ عَنْهُ مُعْرِضِينَ ﴿٥﴾
[26:5] And there was not a single reminder from The All Gracious fully narrated, that they did not object.
فَقَدْ كَذَّبُوا۟ فَسَيَأْتِيهِمْ أَنۢبَـٰٓؤُا۟ مَا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ ﴿٦﴾
[26:6] Then indeed they disbelieved, therefore, they will soon receive the results of their mockery.
أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ إِلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ كَمْ أَنۢبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍ كَرِيمٍ ﴿٧﴾
[26:7] Do they not see all kinds of beautiful plants that We grow out of the land?
إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ ﴿٨﴾
[26:8] Indeed, in this there is a sign, but most of them are not believers.
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ﴿٩﴾
[26:9] And indeed, your Lord is The Almighty, The All Merciful.
وَإِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبُّكَ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنِ ٱئْتِ ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ ﴿١٠﴾
[26:10] And when your Lord called upon Moses to go to the people who are committing injustice,-
قَوْمَ فِرْعَوْنَ أَلَا يَتَّقُونَ ﴿١١﴾
[26:11] -the people of Pharaoh, that they may become god-fearing;-
قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ أَن يُكَذِّبُونِ ﴿١٢﴾
[26:12] he said, Lord, I indeed fear that they may reject me.
وَيَضِيقُ صَدْرِى وَلَا يَنطَلِقُ لِسَانِى فَأَرْسِلْ إِلَىٰ هَـٰرُونَ ﴿١٣﴾
[26:13] And I may get angry and I may become tongue-tied, therefore, send for Aaron.
وَلَهُمْ عَلَىَّ ذَنۢبٌ فَأَخَافُ أَن يَقْتُلُونِ ﴿١٤﴾
[26:14] And they have a charge against me; I therefore fear that they may kill me.
قَالَ كَلَّا فَٱذْهَبَا بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَآ إِنَّا مَعَكُم مُّسْتَمِعُونَ ﴿١٥﴾
[26:15] He said; no it will not be so, therefore, the two of you go with Our signs; indeed We will be with you listening.
فَأْتِيَا فِرْعَوْنَ فَقُولَآ إِنَّا رَسُولُ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ ﴿١٦﴾
[26:16] Thereafter, the two of you go to Pharaoh, and say, we are indeed messengers of the Lord of the multiverse.
أَنْ أَرْسِلْ مَعَنَا بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ ﴿١٧﴾
[26:17] You shall let the children of Israel go with us.
قَالَ أَلَمْ نُرَبِّكَ فِينَا وَلِيدًا وَلَبِثْتَ فِينَا مِنْ عُمُرِكَ سِنِينَ ﴿١٨﴾
[26:18] He said, did we not raise you among us as a son and did you not live many years of your life amongst us?
وَفَعَلْتَ فَعْلَتَكَ ٱلَّتِى فَعَلْتَ وَأَنتَ مِنَ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ ﴿١٩﴾
[26:19] And you did whatever you wanted to do and you are unappreciative.
قَالَ فَعَلْتُهَآ إِذًا وَأَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ ﴿٢٠﴾
[26:20] He said; I did it because I was astray.
فَفَرَرْتُ مِنكُمْ لَمَّا خِفْتُكُمْ فَوَهَبَ لِى رَبِّى حُكْمًا وَجَعَلَنِى مِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ﴿٢١﴾
[26:21] Then I ran away from you because I feared you, my Lord then granted me wisdom and made me one of the messengers.
وَتِلْكَ نِعْمَةٌ تَمُنُّهَا عَلَىَّ أَنْ عَبَّدتَّ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ ﴿٢٢﴾
[26:22] And this is a blessing that He has bestowed upon me, while you enslaved the Children of Israel.
قَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ وَمَا رَبُّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ ﴿٢٣﴾
[26:23] Pharaoh said, and what is the Lord of the multiverse?
قَالَ رَبُّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَآ إِن كُنتُم مُّوقِنِينَ ﴿٢٤﴾
[26:24] He said, the Lord of the vacua and matter and what is in between them, if you are certain.
قَالَ لِمَنْ حَوْلَهُۥٓ أَلَا تَسْتَمِعُونَ ﴿٢٥﴾
[26:25] He said, to those around him, are you listening to this?
قَالَ رَبُّكُمْ وَرَبُّ ءَابَآئِكُمُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ﴿٢٦﴾
[26:26] He said; your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers.
قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَكُمُ ٱلَّذِىٓ أُرْسِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ لَمَجْنُونٌ ﴿٢٧﴾
[26:27] He said, indeed your messenger who has been dispatched to you is crazy.
قَالَ رَبُّ ٱلْمَشْرِقِ وَٱلْمَغْرِبِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَآ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ ﴿٢٨﴾
[26:28] He said, the Lord of the east and the west and what is in between them if you possess intelligence.
قَالَ لَئِنِ ٱتَّخَذْتَ إِلَـٰهًا غَيْرِى لَأَجْعَلَنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْمَسْجُونِينَ ﴿٢٩﴾
[26:29] He said, if you take any god but me, I will surely imprison you.
قَالَ فَأْتِ بِهِۦٓ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ ﴿٣١﴾
[26:31] He said; bring it then if you are truthful.
فَأَلْقَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِىَ ثُعْبَانٌ مُّبِينٌ ﴿٣٢﴾
[26:32] He therefore threw his staff and it became a real serpent.
وَنَزَعَ يَدَهُۥ فَإِذَا هِىَ بَيْضَآءُ لِلنَّـٰظِرِينَ ﴿٣٣﴾
[26:33] He took out his hand and it was white to the onlookers.
قَالَ لِلْمَلَإِ حَوْلَهُۥٓ إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَسَـٰحِرٌ عَلِيمٌ ﴿٣٤﴾
[26:34] He said to his audience, indeed he is a knowledgeable magician.
يُرِيدُ أَن يُخْرِجَكُم مِّنْ أَرْضِكُم بِسِحْرِهِۦ فَمَاذَا تَأْمُرُونَ ﴿٣٥﴾
[26:35] He wants to evict you from your homeland with his magic, what do you then suggest?
قَالُوٓا۟ أَرْجِهْ وَأَخَاهُ وَٱبْعَثْ فِى ٱلْمَدَآئِنِ حَـٰشِرِينَ ﴿٣٦﴾
[26:36] They said, let us keep him and his brother here and send out to cities to gather -
فَجُمِعَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ لِمِيقَـٰتِ يَوْمٍ مَّعْلُومٍ ﴿٣٨﴾
[26:38] The magicians congregated on an agreed day.
وَقِيلَ لِلنَّاسِ هَلْ أَنتُم مُّجْتَمِعُونَ ﴿٣٩﴾
[26:39] And the people were told, would you also come?
لَعَلَّنَا نَتَّبِعُ ٱلسَّحَرَةَ إِن كَانُوا۟ هُمُ ٱلْغَـٰلِبِينَ ﴿٤٠﴾
[26:40] We will indeed follow the magicians if they happen to be the winners.
فَلَمَّا جَآءَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ قَالُوا۟ لِفِرْعَوْنَ أَئِنَّ لَنَا لَأَجْرًا إِن كُنَّا نَحْنُ ٱلْغَـٰلِبِينَ ﴿٤١﴾
[26:41] Then the magicians came, they said to Pharaoh would we be rewarded if we win?
قَالَ نَعَمْ وَإِنَّكُمْ إِذًا لَّمِنَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ ﴿٤٢﴾
[26:42] He said; of course and you will indeed join the elite.
قَالَ لَهُم مُّوسَىٰٓ أَلْقُوا۟ مَآ أَنتُم مُّلْقُونَ ﴿٤٣﴾
[26:43] Moses told them throw whatever you have to present.
فَأَلْقَوْا۟ حِبَالَهُمْ وَعِصِيَّهُمْ وَقَالُوا۟ بِعِزَّةِ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّا لَنَحْنُ ٱلْغَـٰلِبُونَ ﴿٤٤﴾
[26:44] They then threw their ropes and sticks and said by Pharaoh's majesty, we will indeed be winners.
فَأَلْقَىٰ مُوسَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِىَ تَلْقَفُ مَا يَأْفِكُونَ ﴿٤٥﴾
[26:45] Then Moses threw his staff whereby it swallowed what they fabricated.
قَالُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا بِرَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ ﴿٤٧﴾
[26:47] They said we believe in the Lord of the multiverse -
قَالَ ءَامَنتُمْ لَهُۥ قَبْلَ أَنْ ءَاذَنَ لَكُمْ إِنَّهُۥ لَكَبِيرُكُمُ ٱلَّذِى عَلَّمَكُمُ ٱلسِّحْرَ فَلَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ لَأُقَطِّعَنَّ أَيْدِيَكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُم مِّنْ خِلَـٰفٍ وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ ﴿٤٩﴾
[26:49] He said; did you believe before I granted you permission? Indeed your great one shall be the one who taught you magic, therefore, you will soon find out. I will surely cut off your hands and your feet on the alternate sides and crucify you all.
قَالُوا۟ لَا ضَيْرَ إِنَّآ إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا مُنقَلِبُونَ ﴿٥٠﴾
[26:50] They said; we have no fear, we will indeed return to our Lord.
إِنَّا نَطْمَعُ أَن يَغْفِرَ لَنَا رَبُّنَا خَطَـٰيَـٰنَآ أَن كُنَّآ أَوَّلَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ﴿٥١﴾
[26:51] We surely hope that He forgives our wrongs now that we are the first to believe.
وَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنْ أَسْرِ بِعِبَادِىٓ إِنَّكُم مُّتَّبَعُونَ ﴿٥٢﴾
[26:52] And We inspired Moses, leave during the night with my servants, you will indeed be pursued.
فَأَرْسَلَ فِرْعَوْنُ فِى ٱلْمَدَآئِنِ حَـٰشِرِينَ ﴿٥٣﴾
[26:53] Then Pharaoh sent emissaries to the cities.
فَأَخْرَجْنَـٰهُم مِّن جَنَّـٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ ﴿٥٧﴾
[26:57] We therefore, evicted them from paradises with flowing springs -
كَذَٰلِكَ وَأَوْرَثْنَـٰهَا بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ ﴿٥٩﴾
[26:59] We thus made the Children of Israel the inheritors.
فَلَمَّا تَرَٰٓءَا ٱلْجَمْعَانِ قَالَ أَصْحَـٰبُ مُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّا لَمُدْرَكُونَ ﴿٦١﴾
[26:61] Then once the people of Moses saw the two groups, they said; we will indeed be captured.
قَالَ كَلَّآ إِنَّ مَعِىَ رَبِّى سَيَهْدِينِ ﴿٦٢﴾
[26:62] He said; not so, indeed my Lord is with me and He will guide me.
فَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنِ ٱضْرِب بِّعَصَاكَ ٱلْبَحْرَ فَٱنفَلَقَ فَكَانَ كُلُّ فِرْقٍ كَٱلطَّوْدِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ ﴿٦٣﴾
[26:63] We then inspired Moses, hit the sea with your staff, it will part and each side will be like a great mountain.
وَأَنجَيْنَا مُوسَىٰ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥٓ أَجْمَعِينَ ﴿٦٥﴾
[26:65] And saved Moses and all those who were with him.
إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ ﴿٦٧﴾
[26:67] Indeed in this there is a sign and most of them were not believers.
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ﴿٦٨﴾
[26:68] And indeed, your Lord is The Almighty, The All Merciful.
وَٱتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ ﴿٦٩﴾
[26:69] And recite to them the history of Abraham.
إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِۦ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ ﴿٧٠﴾
[26:70] As he said to his father and his people, what are you worshiping?
قَالُوا۟ نَعْبُدُ أَصْنَامًا فَنَظَلُّ لَهَا عَـٰكِفِينَ ﴿٧١﴾
[26:71] They said; we worship statues and we are totally devoted to them.
قَالَ هَلْ يَسْمَعُونَكُمْ إِذْ تَدْعُونَ ﴿٧٢﴾
[26:72] He said; do they hear you when you call them?
قَالُوا۟ بَلْ وَجَدْنَآ ءَابَآءَنَا كَذَٰلِكَ يَفْعَلُونَ ﴿٧٤﴾
[26:74] They said; we found our parents doing this.
قَالَ أَفَرَءَيْتُم مَّا كُنتُمْ تَعْبُدُونَ ﴿٧٥﴾
[26:75] He said; do you realize what you are worshiping -
فَإِنَّهُمْ عَدُوٌّ لِّىٓ إِلَّا رَبَّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ ﴿٧٧﴾
[26:77] These are indeed my enemies; but not so the Lord of the multiverse.
ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَنِى فَهُوَ يَهْدِينِ ﴿٧٨﴾
[26:78] He is the One who created me, and then He guides me.
وَٱلَّذِى هُوَ يُطْعِمُنِى وَيَسْقِينِ ﴿٧٩﴾
[26:79] And He is the One who feeds me and waters me.
وَٱلَّذِى يُمِيتُنِى ثُمَّ يُحْيِينِ ﴿٨١﴾
[26:81] And He is the One who puts me to death then resurrects me.
وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَطْمَعُ أَن يَغْفِرَ لِى خَطِيٓـَٔتِى يَوْمَ ٱلدِّينِ ﴿٨٢﴾
[26:82] And He is the One who hopefully forgives my errors on the Day of Faith.
رَبِّ هَبْ لِى حُكْمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِى بِٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ ﴿٨٣﴾
[26:83] Lord, grant me wisdom and let me join the righteous.
وَٱجْعَل لِّى لِسَانَ صِدْقٍ فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ ﴿٨٤﴾
[26:84] And make my tongue utter the truth when dealing with others.
وَٱجْعَلْنِى مِن وَرَثَةِ جَنَّةِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ ﴿٨٥﴾
[26:85] And make me the inheritor of the blessed Paradise.
وَٱغْفِرْ لِأَبِىٓ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ ﴿٨٦﴾
[26:86] And forgive my father; indeed he is one of the strayers.
وَلَا تُخْزِنِى يَوْمَ يُبْعَثُونَ ﴿٨٧﴾
[26:87] And do not humiliate me on the Day of Resurrection.
يَوْمَ لَا يَنفَعُ مَالٌ وَلَا بَنُونَ ﴿٨٨﴾
[26:88] The day that neither money nor sons will benefit.
إِلَّا مَنْ أَتَى ٱللَّهَ بِقَلْبٍ سَلِيمٍ ﴿٨٩﴾
[26:89] Only those who come to God with a peaceful heart.
وَأُزْلِفَتِ ٱلْجَنَّةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ ﴿٩٠﴾
[26:90] And Paradise will be brought closer to the god-fearing.
وَبُرِّزَتِ ٱلْجَحِيمُ لِلْغَاوِينَ ﴿٩١﴾
[26:91] And the Inferno will be visible to the transgressors.
وَقِيلَ لَهُمْ أَيْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْبُدُونَ ﴿٩٢﴾
[26:92] And they will be told, where are those things you used to worship -
مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ هَلْ يَنصُرُونَكُمْ أَوْ يَنتَصِرُونَ ﴿٩٣﴾
[26:93] -besides God? Are they helping you or do they need help themselves?
فَكُبْكِبُوا۟ فِيهَا هُمْ وَٱلْغَاوُۥنَ ﴿٩٤﴾
[26:94] Then, they will be piled up therein together with the transgressors.
تَٱللَّهِ إِن كُنَّا لَفِى ضَلَـٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ ﴿٩٧﴾
[26:97] -by God we were in manifest straying -
إِذْ نُسَوِّيكُم بِرَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ ﴿٩٨﴾
[26:98] -when we equated you to the Lord of the multiverse.
فَلَوْ أَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّةً فَنَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ﴿١٠٢﴾
[26:102] If only we could get another chance, we would then become believers.
إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ ﴿١٠٣﴾
[26:103] Indeed, in this there is a sign, but most of them are not believers.
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ﴿١٠٤﴾
[26:104] And indeed, your Lord is The Almighty, The All Merciful.
كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ﴿١٠٥﴾
[26:105] The people of Noah rejected the messengers.
إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ نُوحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ﴿١٠٦﴾
[26:106] When their brother Noah said to them, would you not become god-fearing?
وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ ﴿١٠٩﴾
[26:109] I do not ask you for any wage, my wage comes from the Lord of the multiverse.
قَالُوٓا۟ أَنُؤْمِنُ لَكَ وَٱتَّبَعَكَ ٱلْأَرْذَلُونَ ﴿١١١﴾
[26:111] They said, should we believe for your sake, while the worst have followed you?
قَالَ وَمَا عِلْمِى بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ ﴿١١٢﴾
[26:112] He said; I have no knowledge of their actions.
إِنْ حِسَابُهُمْ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّى لَوْ تَشْعُرُونَ ﴿١١٣﴾
[26:113] Their reckoning only rests with my Lord, if you understand.
قَالُوا۟ لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهِ يَـٰنُوحُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْمَرْجُومِينَ ﴿١١٦﴾
[26:116] They said, O Noah, if you do not refrain we will stone you.
قَالَ رَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِى كَذَّبُونِ ﴿١١٧﴾
[26:117] He said; Lord, indeed my people have rejected.
فَٱفْتَحْ بَيْنِى وَبَيْنَهُمْ فَتْحًا وَنَجِّنِى وَمَن مَّعِىَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ﴿١١٨﴾
[26:118] Therefore, take me away from them victoriously and save me and the faithful along with me.
فَأَنجَيْنَـٰهُ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥ فِى ٱلْفُلْكِ ٱلْمَشْحُونِ ﴿١١٩﴾
[26:119] We saved him and those with him on the loaded ship.
إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ ﴿١٢١﴾
[26:121] Indeed, in this there is a sign, but most of them are not believers.
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ﴿١٢٢﴾
[26:122] And indeed, your Lord is The Almighty, The All Merciful.
إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ هُودٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ﴿١٢٤﴾
[26:124] When their brother Eber said to them, would you not become god-fearing?
وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ ﴿١٢٧﴾
[26:127] I do not ask you for any wage, my wage comes from the Lord of the multiverse.
أَتَبْنُونَ بِكُلِّ رِيعٍ ءَايَةً تَعْبَثُونَ ﴿١٢٨﴾
[26:128] You build all kinds of signs in every high place just to play.
وَتَتَّخِذُونَ مَصَانِعَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَخْلُدُونَ ﴿١٢٩﴾
[26:129] And you manufacture things as though you are going to be immortal.
وَإِذَا بَطَشْتُم بَطَشْتُمْ جَبَّارِينَ ﴿١٣٠﴾
[26:130] And when you strike, you strike forcefully.
وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَمَدَّكُم بِمَا تَعْلَمُونَ ﴿١٣٢﴾
[26:132] And fear the One who continues to give you your knowledge.
أَمَدَّكُم بِأَنْعَـٰمٍ وَبَنِينَ ﴿١٣٣﴾
[26:133] Who continues to give you livestock and sons -
إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ ﴿١٣٥﴾
[26:135] I fear for you the suffering of a great day.
قَالُوا۟ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيْنَآ أَوَعَظْتَ أَمْ لَمْ تَكُن مِّنَ ٱلْوَٰعِظِينَ ﴿١٣٦﴾
[26:136] They said; it is the same for us if you enlighten us or do not enlighten us.
إِنْ هَـٰذَآ إِلَّا خُلُقُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ﴿١٣٧﴾
[26:137] This is nothing but the same as previous generations.
فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَهْلَكْنَـٰهُمْ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ ﴿١٣٩﴾
[26:139] They rejected him; consequently We annihilated them. Indeed, in this there is a sign, but most of them are not believers.
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ﴿١٤٠﴾
[26:140] And indeed, your Lord is The Almighty, The All Merciful.
إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ صَـٰلِحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ﴿١٤٢﴾
[26:142] When their brother Saleh said to them, would you not become god-fearing?
وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ ﴿١٤٥﴾
[26:145] I do not ask you for any wage, my wage comes from the Lord of the multiverse.
أَتُتْرَكُونَ فِى مَا هَـٰهُنَآ ءَامِنِينَ ﴿١٤٦﴾
[26:146] Do you think you will be left alone here secure -
وَزُرُوعٍ وَنَخْلٍ طَلْعُهَا هَضِيمٌ ﴿١٤٨﴾
[26:148] -and the crops and date palms with beautiful blossoms?
وَتَنْحِتُونَ مِنَ ٱلْجِبَالِ بُيُوتًا فَـٰرِهِينَ ﴿١٤٩﴾
[26:149] And you carve homes in the mountain skillfully.
وَلَا تُطِيعُوٓا۟ أَمْرَ ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ ﴿١٥١﴾
[26:151] And do not obey the ways of the transgressors.
ٱلَّذِينَ يُفْسِدُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا يُصْلِحُونَ ﴿١٥٢﴾
[26:152] Those who corrupt the land and never do any righteous deed.
قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱلْمُسَحَّرِينَ ﴿١٥٣﴾
[26:153] They said; indeed you are bewitched.
مَآ أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُنَا فَأْتِ بِـَٔايَةٍ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ ﴿١٥٤﴾
[26:154] You are no more than a human being like us, so bring us a sign if you are truthful.
قَالَ هَـٰذِهِۦ نَاقَةٌ لَّهَا شِرْبٌ وَلَكُمْ شِرْبُ يَوْمٍ مَّعْلُومٍ ﴿١٥٥﴾
[26:155] He said; here is this camel, she drinks on a different day from your known drinking day.
وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوٓءٍ فَيَأْخُذَكُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ ﴿١٥٦﴾
[26:156] And do not touch her with any harm, lest you will incur a suffering on a great day.
فَعَقَرُوهَا فَأَصْبَحُوا۟ نَـٰدِمِينَ ﴿١٥٧﴾
[26:157] Later on, they maimed her and ended up sorry the next day.
فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ ﴿١٥٨﴾
[26:158] Consequently, they endured the suffering. Indeed, in this there is a sign, but most of them are not believers.
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ﴿١٥٩﴾
[26:159] And indeed, your Lord is The Almighty, The All Merciful.
كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوطٍ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ﴿١٦٠﴾
[26:160] The people of Lot rejected the messengers.
إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ لُوطٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ﴿١٦١﴾
[26:161] When their brother Lot said to them, would you not become god-fearing?
وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ ﴿١٦٤﴾
[26:164] I do not ask you for any wage, my wage comes from the Lord of the multiverse.
أَتَأْتُونَ ٱلذُّكْرَانَ مِنَ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ ﴿١٦٥﴾
[26:165] Do you prefer males of the world?
وَتَذَرُونَ مَا خَلَقَ لَكُمْ رَبُّكُم مِّنْ أَزْوَٰجِكُم بَلْ أَنتُمْ قَوْمٌ عَادُونَ ﴿١٦٦﴾
[26:166] And abandon what your Lord has created for you as wives? You are truly transgressing people.
قَالُوا۟ لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهِ يَـٰلُوطُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْمُخْرَجِينَ ﴿١٦٧﴾
[26:167] They said; O Lot if you do not refrain, we will deport you.
قَالَ إِنِّى لِعَمَلِكُم مِّنَ ٱلْقَالِينَ ﴿١٦٨﴾
[26:168] He said; indeed I despise your actions.
رَبِّ نَجِّنِى وَأَهْلِى مِمَّا يَعْمَلُونَ ﴿١٦٩﴾
[26:169] Lord, save me and my family from their acts.
فَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُ وَأَهْلَهُۥٓ أَجْمَعِينَ ﴿١٧٠﴾
[26:170] We therefore, saved him and his family altogether -
إِلَّا عَجُوزًا فِى ٱلْغَـٰبِرِينَ ﴿١٧١﴾
[26:171] -except the old woman who remained with the doomed.
وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِم مَّطَرًا فَسَآءَ مَطَرُ ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ ﴿١٧٣﴾
[26:173] And showered them with a shower, what a miserable shower for those who had been warned.
إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ ﴿١٧٤﴾
[26:174] Indeed, in this there is a sign, but most of them are not believers.
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ﴿١٧٥﴾
[26:175] And indeed, your Lord is The Almighty, The All Merciful.
كَذَّبَ أَصْحَـٰبُ لْـَٔيْكَةِ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ﴿١٧٦﴾
[26:176] The dwellers of Aika rejected the messengers.
إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ شُعَيْبٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ﴿١٧٧﴾
[26:177] When Jethro said to them, would you not become god-fearing?
وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ ﴿١٨٠﴾
[26:180] I do not ask you for any wage, my wage comes from the Lord of the multiverse.
أَوْفُوا۟ ٱلْكَيْلَ وَلَا تَكُونُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْمُخْسِرِينَ ﴿١٨١﴾
[26:181] Be honest when measuring and do not cheat.
وَلَا تَبْخَسُوا۟ ٱلنَّاسَ أَشْيَآءَهُمْ وَلَا تَعْثَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ ﴿١٨٣﴾
[26:183] Do not cheat people out of their belongings and do not use matter wickedly as corruptors.
وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُمْ وَٱلْجِبِلَّةَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ﴿١٨٤﴾
[26:184] And fear the One who created you as well as the early generations.
قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱلْمُسَحَّرِينَ ﴿١٨٥﴾
[26:185] They said; you are indeed bewitched.
وَمَآ أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُنَا وَإِن نَّظُنُّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلْكَـٰذِبِينَ ﴿١٨٦﴾
[26:186] And you are no more than a human being like us, and we think that you are a liar.
فَأَسْقِطْ عَلَيْنَا كِسَفًا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ ﴿١٨٧﴾
[26:187] Therefore, bring down masses from the sky if you are truthful.
قَالَ رَبِّىٓ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ ﴿١٨٨﴾
[26:188] He said; my Lord knows best what you are doing.
فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَهُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمِ ٱلظُّلَّةِ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ ﴿١٨٩﴾
[26:189] Therefore, they rejected him, and the suffering of the day of the canopy overwhelmed them. Indeed it was suffering of an awesome day.
إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ ﴿١٩٠﴾
[26:190] Indeed, in this there is a sign, but most of them are not believers.
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ﴿١٩١﴾
[26:191] And indeed, your Lord is The Almighty, The All Merciful.
وَإِنَّهُۥ لَتَنزِيلُ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ ﴿١٩٢﴾
[26:192] And indeed, this is a revelation from the Lord of the multiverse.
عَلَىٰ قَلْبِكَ لِتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُنذِرِينَ ﴿١٩٤﴾
[26:194] -into your heart, in order to make you one of the warners.
وَإِنَّهُۥ لَفِى زُبُرِ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ﴿١٩٦﴾
[26:196] It was indeed in the previous scriptures.
أَوَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُمْ ءَايَةً أَن يَعْلَمَهُۥ عُلَمَـٰٓؤُا۟ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ ﴿١٩٧﴾
[26:197] Is it not a sign for them that the scholars of the Children of Israel knew about it?
وَلَوْ نَزَّلْنَـٰهُ عَلَىٰ بَعْضِ ٱلْأَعْجَمِينَ ﴿١٩٨﴾
[26:198] Had We revealed it to non-Arabs -
فَقَرَأَهُۥ عَلَيْهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ مُؤْمِنِينَ ﴿١٩٩﴾
[26:199] -and if We had you recite it to them, they would have not believed.
كَذَٰلِكَ سَلَكْنَـٰهُ فِى قُلُوبِ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ ﴿٢٠٠﴾
[26:200] We thus fix it in the hearts of the guilty.
لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِۦ حَتَّىٰ يَرَوُا۟ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَلِيمَ ﴿٢٠١﴾
[26:201] They will not believe in it until they come face to face with the painful suffering.
فَيَأْتِيَهُم بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ ﴿٢٠٢﴾
[26:202] It will come upon them suddenly, and they cannot perceive.
أَفَرَءَيْتَ إِن مَّتَّعْنَـٰهُمْ سِنِينَ ﴿٢٠٥﴾
[26:205] Did you not see that We provided for you for years?
ثُمَّ جَآءَهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يُوعَدُونَ ﴿٢٠٦﴾
[26:206] Then it came to you what was promised.
مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يُمَتَّعُونَ ﴿٢٠٧﴾
[26:207] Their provision did not enrich them in the least.
وَمَآ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَرْيَةٍ إِلَّا لَهَا مُنذِرُونَ ﴿٢٠٨﴾
[26:208] We never annihilated any community without warning.
وَمَا يَنۢبَغِى لَهُمْ وَمَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ ﴿٢١١﴾
[26:211] It is above them and they can never do it.
إِنَّهُمْ عَنِ ٱلسَّمْعِ لَمَعْزُولُونَ ﴿٢١٢﴾
[26:212] They are indeed forbidden from listening to it.
فَلَا تَدْعُ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَـٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُعَذَّبِينَ ﴿٢١٣﴾
[26:213] Therefore, do not call upon another god besides God lest you will suffer.
وَأَنذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ ٱلْأَقْرَبِينَ ﴿٢١٤﴾
[26:214] You shall warn your relatives who are close to you.
وَٱخْفِضْ جَنَاحَكَ لِمَنِ ٱتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ﴿٢١٥﴾
[26:215] And you shall lower your wings for your followers who are faithful.
فَإِنْ عَصَوْكَ فَقُلْ إِنِّى بَرِىٓءٌ مِّمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ ﴿٢١٦﴾
[26:216] And if they rebel against you, then say, I am not responsible for your actions.
وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ﴿٢١٧﴾
[26:217] And put your trust in The Almighty, The All Merciful.
وَتَقَلُّبَكَ فِى ٱلسَّـٰجِدِينَ ﴿٢١٩﴾
[26:219] And as you lead by example amongst the worshippers.
إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ ﴿٢٢٠﴾
[26:220] Indeed He is The All Hearer, The All Knower.
هَلْ أُنَبِّئُكُمْ عَلَىٰ مَن تَنَزَّلُ ٱلشَّيَـٰطِينُ ﴿٢٢١﴾
[26:221] Shall I inform you of those whom the demons descend upon?
تَنَزَّلُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ أَفَّاكٍ أَثِيمٍ ﴿٢٢٢﴾
[26:222] They descend upon every fabricator, sinner.
يُلْقُونَ ٱلسَّمْعَ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ كَـٰذِبُونَ ﴿٢٢٣﴾
[26:223] They pretend to listen while most of them are liars.
وَٱلشُّعَرَآءُ يَتَّبِعُهُمُ ٱلْغَاوُۥنَ ﴿٢٢٤﴾
[26:224] And the poets are followed by the transgressors.
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّهُمْ فِى كُلِّ وَادٍ يَهِيمُونَ ﴿٢٢٥﴾
[26:225] Do you not see that they are like weather vanes?
وَأَنَّهُمْ يَقُولُونَ مَا لَا يَفْعَلُونَ ﴿٢٢٦﴾
[26:226] And indeed they preach what they do not practice.
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ وَذَكَرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ كَثِيرًا وَٱنتَصَرُوا۟ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا ظُلِمُوا۟ وَسَيَعْلَمُ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوٓا۟ أَىَّ مُنقَلَبٍ يَنقَلِبُونَ ﴿٢٢٧﴾
[26:227] Not so are those who attain faith and lead a righteous life and commemorate God frequently and they shall attain victory after having suffered injustice. And the unjust will soon find out their final destiny.
