In the name of God; The All-Gracious, The All-Merciful.
[38:1] Saad, and the Quran containing the reminder.
[38:2] However, those who have no faith have self-glory and disunity.
[38:3] We annihilated many generations before them, they cried out but there was no time to escape.
[38:4] And they were surprised that a warner has come to them from amongst them. And the unfaithful said, this is a lying magician.
[38:5] Does he want to make the gods into one god? This is really a strange thing!
[38:6] And their leaders told them, go and stand by your gods. This is indeed what you should do.
[38:7] We never heard of this from the nation of the old, this is nothing but a concoction.
[38:8] Is he the one who has received the message from amongst us? They are in doubt regarding My message! They have not tasted the suffering yet.
[38:9] Do they possess the treasures of your Lord's mercy, The Almighty, The Grantor?
[38:10] Do they possess the kingship of the vacua and matter and everything between them? Then, by all means let them promote themselves.
[38:11] Their armies will always be defeated, no matter how great.
[38:12] Rejecting before them were the people of Noah, Aad, and Pharaoh, possessor of might.
[38:13] Also Thamoud and the people of Lot and the dwellers of the Wood. These were the parties.
[38:14] Indeed they all rejected the messengers; hence the consequences were absolutely justified.
[38:15] They did not have to wait long; all it took was a single thunderous sound from which they never recovered.
[38:16] And they also said, our Lord; hasten the inevitable for us before the Day of Reckoning.
[38:17] You shall be patient in the face of their utterance and remember Our servant David, the resourceful. Indeed he was penitent.
[38:18] We surely subdued the mountains for him, glorifying along with him night and day.
[38:19] And the birds were at his disposal. They were all obedient to him.
[38:20] And We strengthened his kingdom and granted him wisdom and eloquence of speech.
[38:21] Have you received the story of the disputing men who sneaked into the sanctuary?
[38:22] When they entered, they startled him. They said, do not be frightened. We are disputing with one another regarding an injustice, therefore, judge between us and do not wrong us and guide us to a fair settlement.
[38:23] He said, this brother of mine has ninety-nine sheep and I have only one sheep, he then tells me to give him the custody of my sheep and he continues to pressure me.
[38:24] He said; he is indeed being unjust toward you when he is demanding that you join your sheep with his sheep. And surely most of those who mix in their properties transgress against one another, except those who have faith and lead a righteous life, and they are very few. And David thought that We are indeed testing him, he then asked forgiveness from his Lord and bowed down and repented.
[38:25] Consequently, We forgave him regarding this incident. For indeed he has a position of honor with Us and a beautiful abode.
[38:26] O David, We have indeed made you a vicegerent of the land, therefore, rule amongst people equitably and do not follow your ego, lest it will divert you from the path of God. Indeed those who are diverted from the path of God have incurred the ultimate suffering because they have forgotten the Day of Reckoning.
[38:27] And We did not create the vacuum and matter and what is in between them in vain. This is the thinking of those who have rejected faith and woe to the unfaithful as they abide in Hell.
[38:28] Shall We deal with the faithful who lead a righteous life like the corruptors of the land? Shall We treat the god-fearing ones like the evil-doers?
[38:29] A scripture We have revealed to you as a blessing, and in order for them to think about its signs, and in order for those who possess vision to take heed.
[38:30] And We granted David, Solomon. He was a blessed servant, indeed he was penitent.
[38:31] As the night fell, he remained preoccupied with beautiful horses.
[38:32] He then said; I have indeed loved these more than commemorating my Lord until the cover of darkness.
[38:33] Bring them back to me. He then petted their legs and their necks.
[38:34] And We surely tested Solomon as We threw a lifeless body on his throne, he then repented.
[38:35] He said, Lord, forgive me and grant me a kingdom that no one shall possess after me. Indeed You are The Grantor.
[38:36] Consequently, We rendered the wind in his service, blowing any direction he wished.
[38:37] And the devils became builders and deep sea divers.
[38:38] And others always nearby at his service.
[38:39] This is Our gift, you may give or withhold without limits.
[38:40] Indeed he has a position of honor with Us and a beautiful abode.
[38:41] And remember Our servant Job as he called upon his Lord; indeed Satan has afflicted me with hardship and suffering.
[38:42] Hit the ground with your foot. This is a cool wash as well as a source of drink.
[38:43] And We granted him his family and doubled them as a mercy from Us as well as a reminder for those who possess vision.
[38:44] And take this herb in your hand and apply it and do not go wrong. We indeed found him steadfast. He was surely a good servant, he was penitent.
[38:45] And remember Our servants, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, they were resourceful, possessed vision.
[38:46] We purified them completely, they were always mindful of the Hereafter.
[38:47] And indeed they were the best of the chosen ones in Our site.
[38:48] And remember Ishmael, Elisha, and Ezekiel. They were amongst the best.
[38:49] This is only a reminder. Indeed the god-fearing ones have deserved the best abode.
[38:50] Gardens of Eden with their gates wide open to them.
[38:51] They relax therein, where they will have plenty of fruits and drink.
[38:52] And beside them will be the most beautiful spouses, perfectly matched.
[38:53] This is what is promised to them on the Day of Reckoning.
[38:54] Indeed this is Our provision that never ends.
[38:55] On the other hand, for the rebels, there is indeed the worst abode.
[38:56] They enter Gehenna, what a miserable abode.
[38:57] On the top of this, they taste hellish drink and pus.
[38:58] And other things, just as bad.
[38:59] Here is another wave entering with you. There is no welcoming ceremony for them. Surely, they all burn in Hell together.
[38:60] They said; you are not welcome here. You had certain advantages over us. What a miserable abode.
[38:61] They said, our Lord, those who brought this upon us; double their suffering in Hell.
[38:62] And they also said, why do we not see those people whom we considered evil?
[38:63] We used to ridicule them and looked down upon them.
[38:64] It is the absolute truth that the dwellers of Hell always feud with one another.
[38:65] Say; I am only a warner. There is no god except God, The One, The Supreme.
[38:66] Lord of the vacua and matter and everything between them, The Almighty, The All Forgiver.
[38:67] Say; here is awesome news -
[38:68] -that you are ignoring.
[38:69] I have no knowledge the high society ever feuded.
[38:70] I am only inspired that I am indeed a clear warner.
[38:71] When your Lord said to the angels, I am creating a human being from mud,-
[38:72] -and once I perfect him and blow into him from My Spirit, you shall then honor him.
[38:73] And so did the angels honor him, all of them,-
[38:74] -except Iblis who was arrogant and unfaithful.
[38:75] He said, O Iblis, what prevented you from honoring the one whom I created with My hand? Are you too arrogant or are you too exalted?
[38:76] He said; I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from mud.
[38:77] He said, then get out of here, for you are rejected.
[38:78] And My damnation shall follow you until the Day of Faith.
[38:79] He said, Lord, respite me until the Day of Resurrection.
[38:80] He said; you have indeed a respite.
[38:81] Until the day with a specific time.
[38:82] He said, I swear by your majesty that I will entice them all.
[38:83] Except your servants who are purely devoted to You.
[38:84] He said, by the truth and the truth is what I only utter -
[38:85] -I shall fill Gehenna with you and all those who follow you.
[38:86] Say, I am not asking you for any wage and I am not an imposter.
[38:87] This is a reminder for all the people.
[38:88] And you will surely learn of its news after a while.
