بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the name of God; The All-Gracious, The All-Merciful.
ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ فِى غَمْرَةٍ سَاهُونَ ﴿١١﴾
[51:11] Those who blunder and are completely heedless.
يَوْمَ هُمْ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ يُفْتَنُونَ ﴿١٣﴾
[51:13] That is a Day when they will be tormented in Hell.
ذُوقُوا۟ فِتْنَتَكُمْ هَـٰذَا ٱلَّذِى كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ ﴿١٤﴾
[51:14] Taste your torment; this is what you used to challenge.
إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى جَنَّـٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ ﴿١٥﴾
[51:15] The righteous will indeed abide in paradises with flowing springs.
ءَاخِذِينَ مَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَبْلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُحْسِنِينَ ﴿١٦﴾
[51:16] They only take what their Lord gives them. That is because, even prior to this, they were righteous.
كَانُوا۟ قَلِيلًا مِّنَ ٱلَّيْلِ مَا يَهْجَعُونَ ﴿١٧﴾
[51:17] They used to sleep only a little during the night.
وَفِىٓ أَمْوَٰلِهِمْ حَقٌّ لِّلسَّآئِلِ وَٱلْمَحْرُومِ ﴿١٩﴾
[51:19] And a portion of their money is set aside rightfully for the beggar and the deprived.
وَفِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ءَايَـٰتٌ لِّلْمُوقِنِينَ ﴿٢٠﴾
[51:20] And within matter, there are proofs for those who have attained certainty-
وَفِىٓ أَنفُسِكُمْ أَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَ ﴿٢١﴾
[51:21] -as well as within yourselves. Do you not then see?
وَفِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ رِزْقُكُمْ وَمَا تُوعَدُونَ ﴿٢٢﴾
[51:22] And in the sky is your provision, and that which is promised.
فَوَرَبِّ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ إِنَّهُۥ لَحَقٌّ مِّثْلَ مَآ أَنَّكُمْ تَنطِقُونَ ﴿٢٣﴾
[51:23] Then, by the Lord of the vacuum and matter, this is indeed the absolute truth, just like the fact that you indeed speak.
هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ضَيْفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ ٱلْمُكْرَمِينَ ﴿٢٤﴾
[51:24] Have you heard the story of Abraham's honored guests?
إِذْ دَخَلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوا۟ سَلَـٰمًا قَالَ سَلَـٰمٌ قَوْمٌ مُّنكَرُونَ ﴿٢٥﴾
[51:25] When, they arrived in his dwelling, they said: "Peace", he said, "Peace, strangers".
فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ فَجَآءَ بِعِجْلٍ سَمِينٍ ﴿٢٦﴾
[51:26] He then went to his family and returned with a plump calf.
فَقَرَّبَهُۥٓ إِلَيْهِمْ قَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ ﴿٢٧﴾
[51:27] He then placed it before them saying; will you not eat?
فَأَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِيفَةً قَالُوا۟ لَا تَخَفْ وَبَشَّرُوهُ بِغُلَـٰمٍ عَلِيمٍ ﴿٢٨﴾
[51:28] He developed a fear of them. They said; do not be frightened and they gave him the good news of a knowledgeable son.
فَأَقْبَلَتِ ٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ فِى صَرَّةٍ فَصَكَّتْ وَجْهَهَا وَقَالَتْ عَجُوزٌ عَقِيمٌ ﴿٢٩﴾
[51:29] Then his wife came over, surprised pointing to her wrinkled face, and said; I am an old sterile woman.
قَالُوا۟ كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ ﴿٣٠﴾
[51:30] They said, thus says your Lord. He is The All Wise, The All Knower.
قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ أَيُّهَا ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ ﴿٣١﴾
[51:31] He said, then what is your mission O you messengers?
قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّآ أُرْسِلْنَآ إِلَىٰ قَوْمٍ مُّجْرِمِينَ ﴿٣٢﴾
[51:32] They said; we have been dispatched to the guilty people.
لِنُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِّن طِينٍ ﴿٣٣﴾
[51:33] In order to shower them with petrified rocks.
مُّسَوَّمَةً عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ ﴿٣٤﴾
[51:34] They are marked by your Lord for the transgressors.
فَأَخْرَجْنَا مَن كَانَ فِيهَا مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ﴿٣٥﴾
[51:35] We, however, rescue from their midst the faithful.
فَمَا وَجَدْنَا فِيهَا غَيْرَ بَيْتٍ مِّنَ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ ﴿٣٦﴾
[51:36] We then found only one house of peace-offerors.
وَتَرَكْنَا فِيهَآ ءَايَةً لِّلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَلِيمَ ﴿٣٧﴾
[51:37] And We left there a sign for those who fear the painful suffering.
وَفِى مُوسَىٰٓ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَـٰهُ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ بِسُلْطَـٰنٍ مُّبِينٍ ﴿٣٨﴾
[51:38] And also Moses, We sent him to Pharaoh with a manifest authority.
فَتَوَلَّىٰ بِرُكْنِهِۦ وَقَالَ سَـٰحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ ﴿٣٩﴾
[51:39] However, he turned away along with his elders and said; he is either a magician or crazy.
فَأَخَذْنَـٰهُ وَجُنُودَهُۥ فَنَبَذْنَـٰهُمْ فِى ٱلْيَمِّ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌ ﴿٤٠﴾
[51:40] We, therefore, punished him and his armies and We then threw them into the sea and he was the one to be blamed.
وَفِى عَادٍ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلرِّيحَ ٱلْعَقِيمَ ﴿٤١﴾
[51:41] And in Aad, when We sent upon them a devastating wind,-
مَا تَذَرُ مِن شَىْءٍ أَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا جَعَلَتْهُ كَٱلرَّمِيمِ ﴿٤٢﴾
[51:42] -it destroyed everything as they were reduced to rubble.
وَفِى ثَمُودَ إِذْ قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَمَتَّعُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ ﴿٤٣﴾
[51:43] And also Thamoud, as they were told, enjoy for a while.
فَعَتَوْا۟ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ ٱلصَّـٰعِقَةُ وَهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ ﴿٤٤﴾
[51:44] But they disobeyed the command of their Lord; We therefore punished them with the bolt of lightning as they were looking.
فَمَا ٱسْتَطَـٰعُوا۟ مِن قِيَامٍ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ مُنتَصِرِينَ ﴿٤٥﴾
[51:45] They could not even stand up, nor could they help themselves.
وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِّن قَبْلُ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَوْمًا فَـٰسِقِينَ ﴿٤٦﴾
[51:46] And so were the people of Noah previously. They were indeed wicked people.
وَٱلسَّمَآءَ بَنَيْنَـٰهَا بِأَيْي۟دٍ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ ﴿٤٧﴾
[51:47] And We constructed the vacuum with strength and most assuredly We are expanding it.
وَٱلْأَرْضَ فَرَشْنَـٰهَا فَنِعْمَ ٱلْمَـٰهِدُونَ ﴿٤٨﴾
[51:48] And We adorned matter and shaped it into blessed oases.
وَمِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍ خَلَقْنَا زَوْجَيْنِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ ﴿٤٩﴾
[51:49] And of everything We created a pair that you may be reminded.
فَفِرُّوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ إِنِّى لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ ﴿٥٠﴾
[51:50] Therefore, rush towards God; I am indeed a manifest warner from Him to you.
وَلَا تَجْعَلُوا۟ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَـٰهًا ءَاخَرَ إِنِّى لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ ﴿٥١﴾
[51:51] And do not set up another god with God; I am indeed a manifest warner from Him to you.
كَذَٰلِكَ مَآ أَتَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا قَالُوا۟ سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ ﴿٥٢﴾
[51:52] Similarly, there was not a single messenger who went to the previous generations that they did not call a magician or crazy.
أَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِهِۦ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ ﴿٥٣﴾
[51:53] Is this what they are advocating? No indeed, they are rebellious people.
فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَمَآ أَنتَ بِمَلُومٍ ﴿٥٤﴾
[51:54] Therefore turn away from them, you are not to be blamed.
وَذَكِّرْ فَإِنَّ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ تَنفَعُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ﴿٥٥﴾
[51:55] And remind, for the reminder will benefit the faithful.
وَمَا خَلَقْتُ ٱلْجِنَّ وَٱلْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ ﴿٥٦﴾
[51:56] I did not create the jinns and the humans except to worship.
مَآ أُرِيدُ مِنْهُم مِّن رِّزْقٍ وَمَآ أُرِيدُ أَن يُطْعِمُونِ ﴿٥٧﴾
[51:57] I do not want any provision from them, nor do I want any sustenance.
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلرَّزَّاقُ ذُو ٱلْقُوَّةِ ٱلْمَتِينُ ﴿٥٨﴾
[51:58] Indeed, God is the Provider, Possessor of Power, the Strong.
فَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ ذَنُوبًا مِّثْلَ ذَنُوبِ أَصْحَـٰبِهِمْ فَلَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونِ ﴿٥٩﴾
[51:59] Then indeed, the sins of the transgressors are just like the sins of their counterparts, so they should not rush it.
فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن يَوْمِهِمُ ٱلَّذِى يُوعَدُونَ ﴿٦٠﴾
[51:60] Therefore, woe to the unfaithful on the day that is promised to them.
