بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the name of God; The All-Gracious, The All-Merciful.
[86:1]
وَٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلطَّارِقِ ﴿١﴾
[86:1] By the vacuum and the Night Visitor.
[86:2]
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلطَّارِقُ ﴿٢﴾
[86:2] And do you realize what the Night Visitor is?
[86:3]
ٱلنَّجْمُ ٱلثَّاقِبُ ﴿٣﴾
[86:3] The piercing star.
[86:4]
إِن كُلُّ نَفْسٍ لَّمَّا عَلَيْهَا حَافِظٌ ﴿٤﴾
[86:4] Indeed, every soul has a guard.
[86:5]
فَلْيَنظُرِ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ مِمَّ خُلِقَ ﴿٥﴾
[86:5] Therefore, let the human being ponder from what he has been created.
[86:6]
خُلِقَ مِن مَّآءٍ دَافِقٍ ﴿٦﴾
[86:6] He was created from an ejected liquid.
[86:7]
يَخْرُجُ مِنۢ بَيْنِ ٱلصُّلْبِ وَٱلتَّرَآئِبِ ﴿٧﴾
[86:7] It comes out from the middle of the spine and the chest.
[86:8]
إِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ رَجْعِهِۦ لَقَادِرٌ ﴿٨﴾
[86:8] He is indeed powerful to bring him back.
[86:9]
يَوْمَ تُبْلَى ٱلسَّرَآئِرُ ﴿٩﴾
[86:9] The day when all secrets are exposed.
[86:10]
فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن قُوَّةٍ وَلَا نَاصِرٍ ﴿١٠﴾
[86:10] Then he will have no power and no helper.
[86:11]
وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلرَّجْعِ ﴿١١﴾
[86:11] By the vacuum as it naturally rotates.
[86:12]
وَٱلْأَرْضِ ذَاتِ ٱلصَّدْعِ ﴿١٢﴾
[86:12] By the matter with natural voids.
[86:13]
إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوْلٌ فَصْلٌ ﴿١٣﴾
[86:13] Indeed this is a detailed narration.
[86:14]
وَمَا هُوَ بِٱلْهَزْلِ ﴿١٤﴾
[86:14] It is not a joke.
[86:15]
إِنَّهُمْ يَكِيدُونَ كَيْدًا ﴿١٥﴾
[86:15] Indeed they are devising a plan.
[86:16]
وَأَكِيدُ كَيْدًا ﴿١٦﴾
[86:16] And I am planning a plan.
[86:17]
فَمَهِّلِ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ أَمْهِلْهُمْ رُوَيْدًۢا ﴿١٧﴾
[86:17] Therefore give the unfaithful a little while longer.
