بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the name of God, The All Gracious, The All Merciful
1472 802 2225 1225 - - - - -
الٓر كِتَٰبٌ أُحْكِمَتْ ءَايَٰتُهُۥ ثُمَّ فُصِّلَتْ مِن لَّدُنْ حَكِيمٍ خَبِيرٍ١
[11:1] ALR. A scripture, strengthened by its proofs then made fully detailed by the special knowledge of All Wise, All Cognizant.

أَلَّا تَعْبُدُوٓا۟ إِلَّا ٱللَّهَ إِنَّنِى لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌۭ وَبَشِيرٌۭ٢
[11:2] It is alerting not to worship except God . Indeed I come to you as a warner as well as a bearer of good news.

وَأَنِ ٱسْتَغْفِرُوا۟ رَبَّكُمْ ثُمَّ تُوبُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِ يُمَتِّعْكُم مَّتَٰعًا حَسَنًا إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍۢ مُّسَمًّۭى وَيُؤْتِ كُلَّ ذِى فَضْلٍۢ فَضْلَهُۥ وَإِن تَوَلَّوْا۟ فَإِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍۢ كَبِيرٍ٣
[11:3] And if you ask forgiveness from your Lord, then repent to Him, He will provide for you a beautiful provision for a specific interim and grants His bounty to all those who deserve a bounty. However, if you turn away, then I indeed fear for you the punishment on a great day.

إِلَى ٱللَّهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌ٤
[11:4] To God is your final destiny, and His power reigns over all things.
1476 806 2229 1229 349 - - 639 -
أَلَآ إِنَّهُمْ يَثْنُونَ صُدُورَهُمْ لِيَسْتَخْفُوا۟ مِنْهُ أَلَا حِينَ يَسْتَغْشُونَ ثِيَابَهُمْ يَعْلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّونَ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ إِنَّهُۥ عَلِيمٌۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ٥
[11:5] Beware they try to hide their innermost from Him. Beware that while they are covered under their garments, He knows what they hide and what they declare. Indeed He fully knows the innermost thoughts.

وَمَا مِن دَآبَّةٍۢ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ إِلَّا عَلَى ٱللَّهِ رِزْقُهَا وَيَعْلَمُ مُسْتَقَرَّهَا وَمُسْتَوْدَعَهَا كُلٌّۭ فِى كِتَٰبٍۢ مُّبِينٍۢ٦
[11:6] And there is not a single creature on the land that God has not provided its provision, and He knows its dwelling and its repository. Everything is recorded in a profound book.

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ فِى سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍۢ وَكَانَ عَرْشُهُۥ عَلَى ٱلْمَآءِ لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ أَيُّكُمْ أَحْسَنُ عَمَلًۭا وَلَئِن قُلْتَ إِنَّكُم مَّبْعُوثُونَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ٱلْمَوْتِ لَيَقُولَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ إِنْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحْرٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ٧
[11:7] And He is the one who created the skies and the land in six days and His dominion was based on water through which He tests you to see which one of you will do better. And when they are told that indeed you will be resurrected after death, those who have no faith would surely say this is nothing but clear magic.

وَلَئِنْ أَخَّرْنَا عَنْهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابَ إِلَىٰٓ أُمَّةٍۢ مَّعْدُودَةٍۢ لَّيَقُولُنَّ مَا يَحْبِسُهُۥٓ أَلَا يَوْمَ يَأْتِيهِمْ لَيْسَ مَصْرُوفًا عَنْهُمْ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ٨
[11:8] And if We delay the punishment for them by inflicting only a few communities, for sure, they would say what prevented Him? Beware, the day their turn is up, nothing can prevent it and the very thing they ridiculed comes back to haunt them.

وَلَئِنْ أَذَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ مِنَّا رَحْمَةًۭ ثُمَّ نَزَعْنَٰهَا مِنْهُ إِنَّهُۥ لَيَـُٔوسٌۭ كَفُورٌۭ٩
[11:9] And if We give the human being a taste of Our Mercy, then remove it, he becomes despondent, unappreciative.

وَلَئِنْ أَذَقْنَٰهُ نَعْمَآءَ بَعْدَ ضَرَّآءَ مَسَّتْهُ لَيَقُولَنَّ ذَهَبَ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتُ عَنِّىٓ إِنَّهُۥ لَفَرِحٌۭ فَخُورٌ١٠
[11:10] And if we have him taste Our blessing after he has suffered a disaster, he would surely say evil has been removed from me. Indeed he becomes joyous, proud. 
1482 812 2235 1235 351 - - 641 -
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ صَبَرُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌۭ وَأَجْرٌۭ كَبِيرٌۭ١١
[11:11] Not so are those who have steadfastly persevere and lead a righteous life, awaiting them is forgiveness and a generous recompense.
1483 813 2236 1236 - 843 1338 - 308
فَلَعَلَّكَ تَارِكٌۢ بَعْضَ مَا يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَيْكَ وَضَآئِقٌۢ بِهِۦ صَدْرُكَ أَن يَقُولُوا۟ لَوْلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ كَنزٌ أَوْ جَآءَ مَعَهُۥ مَلَكٌ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ نَذِيرٌۭ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ وَكِيلٌ١٢
[11:12] Therefore, you might ignore some of what is revealed to you and you may be angered as they say, why was not a treasure sent down to him, or did not an angel come with him. You are indeed no more than a warner.  And God represents all things.

أَمْ يَقُولُونَ ٱفْتَرَىٰهُ قُلْ فَأْتُوا۟ بِعَشْرِ سُوَرٍۢ مِّثْلِهِۦ مُفْتَرَيَٰتٍۢ وَٱدْعُوا۟ مَنِ ٱسْتَطَعْتُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ١٣
[11:13] Or they may say he fabricated it. Say, then bring ten suras like it, fabricated, and call upon whomever you can besides God if you are truthful.
1485 815 2238 1238 - 845 1340 - 310
فَإِلَّمْ يَسْتَجِيبُوا۟ لَكُمْ فَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّمَآ أُنزِلَ بِعِلْمِ ٱللَّهِ وَأَن لَّآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ فَهَلْ أَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ١٤
[11:14] Then if they cannot respond to you, then you shall know that indeed it was revealed with God's knowledge and there is no god except He. Therefore, would you submit?
1486 816 2239 1239 - - - - -
مَن كَانَ يُرِيدُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَزِينَتَهَا نُوَفِّ إِلَيْهِمْ أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ فِيهَا وَهُمْ فِيهَا لَا يُبْخَسُونَ١٥
[11:15] Whoever seeks this worldly life and its adornments, We will grant him therefrom without frugality.
1487 817 2240 1240 - - - - -
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَيْسَ لَهُمْ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ إِلَّا ٱلنَّارُ وَحَبِطَ مَا صَنَعُوا۟ فِيهَا وَبَٰطِلٌۭ مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ١٦
[11:16] These are those who have no share of the Hereafter except Hell, and everything they manufacture therein is useless and whatever they do is in vain.

أَفَمَن كَانَ عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَةٍۢ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦ وَيَتْلُوهُ شَاهِدٌۭ مِّنْهُ وَمِن قَبْلِهِۦ كِتَٰبُ مُوسَىٰٓ إِمَامًۭا وَرَحْمَةً أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِۦ وَمَن يَكْفُرْ بِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلْأَحْزَابِ فَٱلنَّارُ مَوْعِدُهُۥ فَلَا تَكُ فِى مِرْيَةٍۢ مِّنْهُ إِنَّهُ ٱلْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكَ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ١٧
[11:17] Then who is the one who stands firm by a proof from his Lord? A witness did recite it previously in Moses’ scripture, a leading authority as well as a mercy.  They did believe in it. As for those who disbelieved it among various parties, then Hell is promised to them. As for you, you shall not have any doubt about it. Indeed this is the truth from your Lord, however, most people will not attain faith.
1489 819 2242 1242 - 846 1341, 1342 - 311, 312
وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفْتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًا أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ يُعْرَضُونَ عَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ وَيَقُولُ ٱلْأَشْهَٰدُ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَبُوا۟ عَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ أَلَا لَعْنَةُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَى ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ١٨
[11:18] And who is more unjust than the one who fabricates a lie and attributes it to God ? These are the ones who turn their backs to their Lord and the witnesses say these are the ones who lied about their Lord.  Beware; God condemnation is upon the transgressors.

ٱلَّذِينَ يَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَيَبْغُونَهَا عِوَجًۭا وَهُم بِٱلْءَاخِرَةِ هُمْ كَٰفِرُونَ١٩
[11:19] These are the ones who repel from the path of God and seek to make it crooked and they disbelieve in the Hereafter.
1491 821 2244 1244 - 848 1344 - 314
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَمْ يَكُونُوا۟ مُعْجِزِينَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا كَانَ لَهُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مِنْ أَوْلِيَآءَ يُضَٰعَفُ لَهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَسْتَطِيعُونَ ٱلسَّمْعَ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ يُبْصِرُونَ٢٠
[11:20] They will never be prodigious on the land and they will have no allies besides God , the punishment will be doubled for them.  They will not be able to hear and they will not see. 
1492 822 2245 1245 - - - - -
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ خَسِرُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ وَضَلَّ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَفْتَرُونَ٢١
[11:21] These are the ones who have wronged their souls and the very thing they fabricated caused them to go astray.
1493 823 2246 1246 - - - - -
لَا جَرَمَ أَنَّهُمْ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ هُمُ ٱلْأَخْسَرُونَ٢٢
[11:22] Undoubtedly, they are the worst losers in the Hereafter. 
1494 824 2247 1247 355 - - 645 -
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ وَأَخْبَتُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْجَنَّةِ هُمْ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ٢٣
[11:23] Indeed those who attain faith and lead a righteous life and are totally devoted to their Lord, these are the dwellers of Paradise wherein they abide eternally. 
1495 825 2248 1248 - - - - -
مَثَلُ ٱلْفَرِيقَيْنِ كَٱلْأَعْمَىٰ وَٱلْأَصَمِّ وَٱلْبَصِيرِ وَٱلسَّمِيعِ هَلْ يَسْتَوِيَانِ مَثَلًا أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ٢٤
[11:24] The allegory of the two groups is like the blind and the deaf versus the seer and the hearer. Are they equal? Do you therefore not take heed?
1496 826 2249 1249 - - - - -
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦٓ إِنِّى لَكُمْ نَذِيرٌۭ مُّبِينٌ٢٥
[11:25] And We indeed dispatched Noah to his people: indeed I am a manifest warner to you. 
1497 827 2250 1250 - 849 1345 - 315
أَن لَّا تَعْبُدُوٓا۟ إِلَّا ٱللَّهَ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ أَلِيمٍۢ٢٦
[11:26] Do not worship except God . I surely fear for you the punishment of a painful day. 
1498 828 2251 1251 - - - - -
فَقَالَ ٱلْمَلَأُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن قَوْمِهِۦ مَا نَرَىٰكَ إِلَّا بَشَرًۭا مِّثْلَنَا وَمَا نَرَىٰكَ ٱتَّبَعَكَ إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ أَرَاذِلُنَا بَادِىَ ٱلرَّأْىِ وَمَا نَرَىٰ لَكُمْ عَلَيْنَا مِن فَضْلٍۭ بَلْ نَظُنُّكُمْ كَٰذِبِينَ٢٧
[11:27] However, the group of unfaithful among his people said, we only see you as a human like us, and we see that only the worst among us have followed you, willfully, and we do not see you as superiors to us, on the contrary, we think you are liars.

قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ أَرَءَيْتُمْ إِن كُنتُ عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَةٍۢ مِّن رَّبِّى وَءَاتَىٰنِى رَحْمَةًۭ مِّنْ عِندِهِۦ فَعُمِّيَتْ عَلَيْكُمْ أَنُلْزِمُكُمُوهَا وَأَنتُمْ لَهَا كَٰرِهُونَ٢٨
[11:28] He said, O my people may I show you the proof that I have from my Lord and the mercy He has bestowed upon me although you are blind to it, should I force you while you are reluctant toward it?

وَيَٰقَوْمِ لَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مَالًا إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَى ٱللَّهِ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ بِطَارِدِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِنَّهُم مُّلَٰقُوا۟ رَبِّهِمْ وَلَٰكِنِّىٓ أَرَىٰكُمْ قَوْمًۭا تَجْهَلُونَ٢٩
[11:29] And O my people, I do not ask you for any wage, for indeed my wage comes from God . And I am to never abandon those who have attained faith.  They are indeed destined to meet their Lord and as for you, I see that you are ignorant people.

وَيَٰقَوْمِ مَن يَنصُرُنِى مِنَ ٱللَّهِ إِن طَرَدتُّهُمْ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ٣٠
[11:30] And O my people, who can help me before God , if I abandon them? Do you not ponder?

وَلَآ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ عِندِى خَزَآئِنُ ٱللَّهِ وَلَآ أَعْلَمُ ٱلْغَيْبَ وَلَآ أَقُولُ إِنِّى مَلَكٌۭ وَلَآ أَقُولُ لِلَّذِينَ تَزْدَرِىٓ أَعْيُنُكُمْ لَن يُؤْتِيَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ خَيْرًا ٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا فِىٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ إِنِّىٓ إِذًۭا لَّمِنَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ٣١
[11:31] And I do not tell you that I possess God's treasures, nor do I say to you that I have full knowledge of the future, nor do I say to you that I am indeed an angel, nor do I say to you that those whom are despised in your eyes would not receive God's blessing. God has full knowledge of their thoughts. If I do so, I will indeed be a transgressor.

قَالُوا۟ يَٰنُوحُ قَدْ جَٰدَلْتَنَا فَأَكْثَرْتَ جِدَٰلَنَا فَأْتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَآ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ٣٢
[11:32] They said, O Noah, you have indeed argued with us and have argued excessively, therefore bring what you have promised us if you are truthful. 
1504 834 2257 1257 - 853 1351 - 321
قَالَ إِنَّمَا يَأْتِيكُم بِهِ ٱللَّهُ إِن شَآءَ وَمَآ أَنتُم بِمُعْجِزِينَ٣٣
[11:33] He said, only God can bring it to you if He so wills and you are not prodigious.
1505 835 2258 1258 - 854 1352 - 322
وَلَا يَنفَعُكُمْ نُصْحِىٓ إِنْ أَرَدتُّ أَنْ أَنصَحَ لَكُمْ إِن كَانَ ٱللَّهُ يُرِيدُ أَن يُغْوِيَكُمْ هُوَ رَبُّكُمْ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ٣٤
[11:34] And my advice would never benefit you no matter how hard I try, if God wills that you go astray. He is your Lord and to Him you will be returned.
1506 836 2259 1259 - - - - -
أَمْ يَقُولُونَ ٱفْتَرَىٰهُ قُلْ إِنِ ٱفْتَرَيْتُهُۥ فَعَلَىَّ إِجْرَامِى وَأَنَا۠ بَرِىٓءٌۭ مِّمَّا تُجْرِمُونَ٣٥
[11:35] Or they may say that he fabricated it. Say, if I fabricated it then I am responsible for my guilt and I am innocent of your guilt.
1507 837 2260 1260 - - - - -
وَأُوحِىَ إِلَىٰ نُوحٍ أَنَّهُۥ لَن يُؤْمِنَ مِن قَوْمِكَ إِلَّا مَن قَدْ ءَامَنَ فَلَا تَبْتَئِسْ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَفْعَلُونَ٣٦
[11:36] And Noah was inspired that indeed no more of your people are going to believe except those who have already done so.  Hence, do not despair because of their action.
1508 838 2261 1261 358 - - 648 -
وَٱصْنَعِ ٱلْفُلْكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا وَوَحْيِنَا وَلَا تُخَٰطِبْنِى فِى ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوٓا۟ إِنَّهُم مُّغْرَقُونَ٣٧
[11:37] And construct the ship under Our watch and with Our inspiration and do not address Me on behalf the unjust, for indeed they are to drown.
1509 839 2262 1262 - - - - -
وَيَصْنَعُ ٱلْفُلْكَ وَكُلَّمَا مَرَّ عَلَيْهِ مَلَأٌۭ مِّن قَوْمِهِۦ سَخِرُوا۟ مِنْهُ قَالَ إِن تَسْخَرُوا۟ مِنَّا فَإِنَّا نَسْخَرُ مِنكُمْ كَمَا تَسْخَرُونَ٣٨
[11:38] As he was constructing the ship, every time a group of his people passed by him, they ridiculed him. He said, you make fun of us and we mock your ridiculous acts.
1510 840 2263 1263 - - - - -
فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ مَن يَأْتِيهِ عَذَابٌۭ يُخْزِيهِ وَيَحِلُّ عَلَيْهِ عَذَابٌۭ مُّقِيمٌ٣٩
[11:39] You will then soon find out who will receive the humiliating punishment and has deserved the eternal punishment.

حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءَ أَمْرُنَا وَفَارَ ٱلتَّنُّورُ قُلْنَا ٱحْمِلْ فِيهَا مِن كُلٍّۢ زَوْجَيْنِ ٱثْنَيْنِ وَأَهْلَكَ إِلَّا مَن سَبَقَ عَلَيْهِ ٱلْقَوْلُ وَمَنْ ءَامَنَ وَمَآ ءَامَنَ مَعَهُۥٓ إِلَّا قَلِيلٌۭ٤٠
[11:40] Once Our command was issued, and the pot boiled over, We said carry on it a pair of each kind and your family, and exclude those who are already destined to perish, but take the faithful. And there were only a few who believed with him.

وَقَالَ ٱرْكَبُوا۟ فِيهَا بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ مَجْر۪ىٰهَا وَمُرْسَىٰهَآ إِنَّ رَبِّى لَغَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ٤١
[11:41] And he said get on board, in God's name shall be her mooring and her sailing. Indeed my Lord is All Forgiving, All Merciful.

وَهِىَ تَجْرِى بِهِمْ فِى مَوْجٍۢ كَٱلْجِبَالِ وَنَادَىٰ نُوحٌ ٱبْنَهُۥ وَكَانَ فِى مَعْزِلٍۢ يَٰبُنَىَّ ٱرْكَب مَّعَنَا وَلَا تَكُن مَّعَ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ٤٢
[11:42] And she sailed on the top a mountain-like wave and Noah called his son, who was isolated, O my son, come on board with us and do not stay with the unfaithful.

قَالَ سَـَٔاوِىٓ إِلَىٰ جَبَلٍۢ يَعْصِمُنِى مِنَ ٱلْمَآءِ قَالَ لَا عَاصِمَ ٱلْيَوْمَ مِنْ أَمْرِ ٱللَّهِ إِلَّا مَن رَّحِمَ وَحَالَ بَيْنَهُمَا ٱلْمَوْجُ فَكَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُغْرَقِينَ٤٣
[11:43] He said, I will stay on this hilltop; it will protect me from the water. He said, there is no protection today from God's command, unless for those whom deserve mercy. And the wave separated them and he was drowned.

وَقِيلَ يَٰٓأَرْضُ ٱبْلَعِى مَآءَكِ وَيَٰسَمَآءُ أَقْلِعِى وَغِيضَ ٱلْمَآءُ وَقُضِىَ ٱلْأَمْرُ وَٱسْتَوَتْ عَلَى ٱلْجُودِىِّ وَقِيلَ بُعْدًۭا لِّلْقَوْمِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ٤٤
[11:44] And the land was told; swallow your water and you the sky, cease the downpour and the matter was finished as she was a perfect match for the deluge, and it was proclaimed; the unjust people have perished.

وَنَادَىٰ نُوحٌۭ رَّبَّهُۥ فَقَالَ رَبِّ إِنَّ ٱبْنِى مِنْ أَهْلِى وَإِنَّ وَعْدَكَ ٱلْحَقُّ وَأَنتَ أَحْكَمُ ٱلْحَٰكِمِينَ٤٥
[11:45] And Noah called upon his Lord, and then said, my Lord, indeed my son is of my family and your promise is the truth and you are the wisest of all the wise ones.
1517 847 2270 1270 - - - - -
قَالَ يَٰنُوحُ إِنَّهُۥ لَيْسَ مِنْ أَهْلِكَ إِنَّهُۥ عَمَلٌ غَيْرُ صَٰلِحٍۢ فَلَا تَسْـَٔلْنِ مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهِۦ عِلْمٌ إِنِّىٓ أَعِظُكَ أَن تَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْجَٰهِلِينَ٤٦
[11:46] He said; O Noah, he is not of your family, he is indeed the result of an unrighteous act.  Therefore, do not ask me what you have no knowledge thereof. Indeed, I am enlightening you otherwise you will be one of the ignorant ones.

قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّىٓ أَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ أَسْـَٔلَكَ مَا لَيْسَ لِى بِهِۦ عِلْمٌۭ وَإِلَّا تَغْفِرْ لِى وَتَرْحَمْنِىٓ أَكُن مِّنَ ٱلْخَٰسِرِينَ٤٧
[11:47] He said, my Lord, I indeed seek refuge in you for asking about something that I have no knowledge of; and if You do not forgive me and have mercy upon me, I will be one of the losers.
1519 849 2272 1272 - - - - -
قِيلَ يَٰنُوحُ ٱهْبِطْ بِسَلَٰمٍۢ مِّنَّا وَبَرَكَٰتٍ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَىٰٓ أُمَمٍۢ مِّمَّن مَّعَكَ وَأُمَمٌۭ سَنُمَتِّعُهُمْ ثُمَّ يَمَسُّهُم مِّنَّا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌۭ٤٨
[11:48] It was said, O Noah, disembark in peace from Us and blessings be upon you and upon the groups with you. As for other groups, We will provide for them, then, We will have them taste a painful punishment.
1520 850 2273 1273 - - - - -
تِلْكَ مِنْ أَنۢبَآءِ ٱلْغَيْبِ نُوحِيهَآ إِلَيْكَ مَا كُنتَ تَعْلَمُهَآ أَنتَ وَلَا قَوْمُكَ مِن قَبْلِ هَٰذَا فَٱصْبِرْ إِنَّ ٱلْعَٰقِبَةَ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ٤٩
[11:49] These are some news from the unrecorded history, which We inspire to you.  Neither you nor your people knew about it previously, therefore, be patient, the inheritance belongs to the god-fearing.
1521 851 2274 1274 - 857 1355 - 325
وَإِلَىٰ عَادٍ أَخَاهُمْ هُودًۭا قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرُهُۥٓ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا مُفْتَرُونَ٥٠
[11:50] And to Aad, went their brother Eber.  He said, O my people worship God , there is no other god besides Him, you are only fabricating.
1522 852 2275 1275 - - - - -
يَٰقَوْمِ لَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًا إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَى ٱلَّذِى فَطَرَنِىٓ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ٥١
[11:51] O my people I do not ask you for any wage, for indeed my wage comes from the One who initiated me.  Do you not use your intelligence? 
1523 853 2276 1276 - - - - -
وَيَٰقَوْمِ ٱسْتَغْفِرُوا۟ رَبَّكُمْ ثُمَّ تُوبُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِ يُرْسِلِ ٱلسَّمَآءَ عَلَيْكُم مِّدْرَارًۭا وَيَزِدْكُمْ قُوَّةً إِلَىٰ قُوَّتِكُمْ وَلَا تَتَوَلَّوْا۟ مُجْرِمِينَ٥٢
[11:52] And O my people ask forgiveness from your Lord and then repent to Him; He will send upon you abundant rain from the sky and increase your power beyond your existing power and do not turn away as the guilty.
1524 854 2277 1277 362 - - 652 -
قَالُوا۟ يَٰهُودُ مَا جِئْتَنَا بِبَيِّنَةٍۢ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِتَارِكِىٓ ءَالِهَتِنَا عَن قَوْلِكَ وَمَا نَحْنُ لَكَ بِمُؤْمِنِينَ٥٣
[11:53] They said, O Eber, you have not brought us any proof and we are not going to abandon our gods because of your call and we are not going to become believers for your sake.
1525 855 2278 1278 - 858 1356 - 326
إِن نَّقُولُ إِلَّا ٱعْتَرَىٰكَ بَعْضُ ءَالِهَتِنَا بِسُوٓءٍۢ قَالَ إِنِّىٓ أُشْهِدُ ٱللَّهَ وَٱشْهَدُوٓا۟ أَنِّى بَرِىٓءٌۭ مِّمَّا تُشْرِكُونَ٥٤
[11:54] We say that some of our gods have afflicted you with an evil.  He said; as indeed God is my witness and you are witnessing, I surely disown what you set up as partners for god -

مِن دُونِهِۦ فَكِيدُونِى جَمِيعًۭا ثُمَّ لَا تُنظِرُونِ٥٥
[11:55] -besides Him. Therefore, present to me your collective plan immediately.
1527 857 2280 1280 - 859 1357 - 327
إِنِّى تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ رَبِّى وَرَبِّكُم مَّا مِن دَآبَّةٍ إِلَّا هُوَ ءَاخِذٌۢ بِنَاصِيَتِهَآ إِنَّ رَبِّى عَلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍۢ مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ٥٦
[11:56] Indeed I have put my trust in God , my Lord and your Lord.  There is not a single creature that He does not control.  Indeed my Lord is on the straight path.
1528 858 2281 1281 - - - - -
فَإِن تَوَلَّوْا۟ فَقَدْ أَبْلَغْتُكُم مَّآ أُرْسِلْتُ بِهِۦٓ إِلَيْكُمْ وَيَسْتَخْلِفُ رَبِّى قَوْمًا غَيْرَكُمْ وَلَا تَضُرُّونَهُۥ شَيْـًٔا إِنَّ رَبِّى عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ حَفِيظٌۭ٥٧
[11:57] Hence, if you turn away, I have delivered to you the message I was sent with. Furthermore, my Lord will replace you with a different people and you do not harm Him in the least. Indeed my Lord is the Guardian of all things.

وَلَمَّا جَآءَ أَمْرُنَا نَجَّيْنَا هُودًۭا وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مَعَهُۥ بِرَحْمَةٍۢ مِّنَّا وَنَجَّيْنَٰهُم مِّنْ عَذَابٍ غَلِيظٍۢ٥٨
[11:58] And once Our command was issued, We saved Eber and those who believed with him as a mercy from Us and We saved them from a severe punishment.
1530 860 2283 1283 363 - - 653 -
وَتِلْكَ عَادٌۭ جَحَدُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ وَعَصَوْا۟ رُسُلَهُۥ وَٱتَّبَعُوٓا۟ أَمْرَ كُلِّ جَبَّارٍ عَنِيدٍۢ٥٩
[11:59] And so was Aad, they argued against their Lord’s signs and rebelled against His messengers and followed every stubborn tyrant. 
1531 861 2284 1284 - - - - -
وَأُتْبِعُوا۟ فِى هَٰذِهِ ٱلدُّنْيَا لَعْنَةًۭ وَيَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ أَلَآ إِنَّ عَادًۭا كَفَرُوا۟ رَبَّهُمْ أَلَا بُعْدًۭا لِّعَادٍۢ قَوْمِ هُودٍۢ٦٠
[11:60] Condemnation followed them in this world as well as on the Day of Resurrection.  Indeed Aad had no faith in their Lord.  Absolutely, Aad, the people of Eber did perish.

وَإِلَىٰ ثَمُودَ أَخَاهُمْ صَٰلِحًۭا قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرُهُۥ هُوَ أَنشَأَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱسْتَعْمَرَكُمْ فِيهَا فَٱسْتَغْفِرُوهُ ثُمَّ تُوبُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِ إِنَّ رَبِّى قَرِيبٌۭ مُّجِيبٌۭ٦١
[11:61] And to Thamoud, went their brother Saleh.  He said, O my people; worship God , there is no other god besides Him for you. He is the One who initiated you from the land and made you prosper therein; therefore, you shall ask forgiveness from Him then repent to Him. Indeed my Lord is always near always respondent.
1533 863 2286 1286 - - - - -
قَالُوا۟ يَٰصَٰلِحُ قَدْ كُنتَ فِينَا مَرْجُوًّۭا قَبْلَ هَٰذَآ أَتَنْهَىٰنَآ أَن نَّعْبُدَ مَا يَعْبُدُ ءَابَآؤُنَا وَإِنَّنَا لَفِى شَكٍّۢ مِّمَّا تَدْعُونَآ إِلَيْهِ مُرِيبٍۢ٦٢
[11:62] They said O Saleh, you were indeed popular among us. Are you enjoining us from worshipping what our parents worshiped, while indeed we are doubtful of what you are inviting us to do, hesitant?
1534 864 2287 1287 - 861 1359 - 329
قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ أَرَءَيْتُمْ إِن كُنتُ عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَةٍۢ مِّن رَّبِّى وَءَاتَىٰنِى مِنْهُ رَحْمَةًۭ فَمَن يَنصُرُنِى مِنَ ٱللَّهِ إِنْ عَصَيْتُهُۥ فَمَا تَزِيدُونَنِى غَيْرَ تَخْسِيرٍۢ٦٣
[11:63] He said, O my people, what if I show you a proof from my Lord and His mercy He has bestowed upon me? Who is then going to help me in front of God if I disobey Him? Then I will gain nothing but loss.
1535 865 2288 1288 - 862 1360, 1361 - 330, 331
وَيَٰقَوْمِ هَٰذِهِۦ نَاقَةُ ٱللَّهِ لَكُمْ ءَايَةًۭ فَذَرُوهَا تَأْكُلْ فِىٓ أَرْضِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوٓءٍۢ فَيَأْخُذَكُمْ عَذَابٌۭ قَرِيبٌۭ٦٤
[11:64] And O my people; this is God's camel, a sign for you, therefore, let her eat from God's land and do not harm her in any way, lest you will soon be punished.
1536 866 2289 1289 - - - - -
فَعَقَرُوهَا فَقَالَ تَمَتَّعُوا۟ فِى دَارِكُمْ ثَلَٰثَةَ أَيَّامٍۢ ذَٰلِكَ وَعْدٌ غَيْرُ مَكْذُوبٍۢ٦٥
[11:65] However, they maimed her, hence he proclaimed; enjoy your homes for three days, for this is an undeniable promise.
1537 867 2290 1290 - - - - -
فَلَمَّا جَآءَ أَمْرُنَا نَجَّيْنَا صَٰلِحًۭا وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مَعَهُۥ بِرَحْمَةٍۢ مِّنَّا وَمِنْ خِزْىِ يَوْمِئِذٍ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ ٱلْقَوِىُّ ٱلْعَزِيزُ٦٦
[11:66] And once Our command was issued, We saved Saleh and those who believed with him as a mercy from Us and We saved them from the humiliation of that day. Indeed your Lord is The All Powerful, The Almighty. 
1538 868 2291 1291 365 - - 655 -
وَأَخَذَ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ ٱلصَّيْحَةُ فَأَصْبَحُوا۟ فِى دِيَٰرِهِمْ جَٰثِمِينَ٦٧
[11:67] And the unjust were overwhelmed by the thunder, leaving them dead in their homes.
1539 869 2292 1292 - - - - -
كَأَن لَّمْ يَغْنَوْا۟ فِيهَآ أَلَآ إِنَّ ثَمُودَا۟ كَفَرُوا۟ رَبَّهُمْ أَلَا بُعْدًۭا لِّثَمُودَ٦٨
[11:68] They looked as though they never prospered therein. Absolutely, Thamoud had no faith in their Lord. Absolutely, Thamoud has perished. 
1540 870 2293 1293 - - - - -
وَلَقَدْ جَآءَتْ رُسُلُنَآ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ بِٱلْبُشْرَىٰ قَالُوا۟ سَلَٰمًۭا قَالَ سَلَٰمٌۭ فَمَا لَبِثَ أَن جَآءَ بِعِجْلٍ حَنِيذٍۢ٦٩
[11:69] And indeed Our messengers went to Abraham with the good news, they said, peace, he said, peace, he then without hesitation, prepared for them a barbequed calf.
1541 871 2294 1294 - - - - -
فَلَمَّا رَءَآ أَيْدِيَهُمْ لَا تَصِلُ إِلَيْهِ نَكِرَهُمْ وَأَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِيفَةًۭ قَالُوا۟ لَا تَخَفْ إِنَّآ أُرْسِلْنَآ إِلَىٰ قَوْمِ لُوطٍۢ٧٠
[11:70] And when he noticed their hands are not touching it, he turned away from them and felt fearful of them. They said, do not fear, indeed we are dispatched to the people of Lot. 
1542 872 2295 1295 366 - - 656 -
وَٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ قَآئِمَةٌۭ فَضَحِكَتْ فَبَشَّرْنَٰهَا بِإِسْحَٰقَ وَمِن وَرَآءِ إِسْحَٰقَ يَعْقُوبَ٧١
[11:71] And his wife was standing, she laughed when We gave her the good news of Isaac and Jacob to be from Isaac’s clan.
1543 873 2296 1296 - - - - -
قَالَتْ يَٰوَيْلَتَىٰٓ ءَأَلِدُ وَأَنَا۠ عَجُوزٌۭ وَهَٰذَا بَعْلِى شَيْخًا إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَشَىْءٌ عَجِيبٌۭ٧٢
[11:72] She said, wow, how could I give birth, when I am an old woman and my husband is an old man? This is indeed a strange thing.
1544 874 2297 1297 367 863 1362, 1363 657 332, 333
قَالُوٓا۟ أَتَعْجَبِينَ مِنْ أَمْرِ ٱللَّهِ رَحْمَتُ ٱللَّهِ وَبَرَكَٰتُهُۥ عَلَيْكُمْ أَهْلَ ٱلْبَيْتِ إِنَّهُۥ حَمِيدٌۭ مَّجِيدٌۭ٧٣
[11:73] They said, are you surprised by God's command? Indeed God's mercy and His blessings has been upon you O the inhabitant of the House. He is indeed Praiseworthy, Glorious.
1545 875 2298 1298 - - - - -
فَلَمَّا ذَهَبَ عَنْ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ ٱلرَّوْعُ وَجَآءَتْهُ ٱلْبُشْرَىٰ يُجَٰدِلُنَا فِى قَوْمِ لُوطٍ٧٤
[11:74] Once Abraham’s fear subsided and he received the good news, he argued with Us on behalf of Lot’s people.  
1546 876 2299 1299 - - - - -
إِنَّ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ لَحَلِيمٌ أَوَّٰهٌۭ مُّنِيبٌۭ٧٥
[11:75] Indeed, Abraham was clement, very kind, and repentant.
1547 877 2300 1300 - - - - -
يَٰٓإِبْرَٰهِيمُ أَعْرِضْ عَنْ هَٰذَآ إِنَّهُۥ قَدْ جَآءَ أَمْرُ رَبِّكَ وَإِنَّهُمْ ءَاتِيهِمْ عَذَابٌ غَيْرُ مَرْدُودٍۢ٧٦
[11:76] O Abraham, refrain from this, indeed your Lord’s command has already been issued, for indeed they have deserved the inevitable punishment. 
1548 878 2301 1301 - - - - -
وَلَمَّا جَآءَتْ رُسُلُنَا لُوطًۭا سِىٓءَ بِهِمْ وَضَاقَ بِهِمْ ذَرْعًۭا وَقَالَ هَٰذَا يَوْمٌ عَصِيبٌۭ٧٧
[11:77] And when Our messengers went to Lot, he was saddened because of them and was embarrassed of them and said, this is a nerve-racking day.
1549 879 2302 1302 - 864 1364 - 334
وَجَآءَهُۥ قَوْمُهُۥ يُهْرَعُونَ إِلَيْهِ وَمِن قَبْلُ كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ بَنَاتِى هُنَّ أَطْهَرُ لَكُمْ فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَلَا تُخْزُونِ فِى ضَيْفِىٓ أَلَيْسَ مِنكُمْ رَجُلٌۭ رَّشِيدٌۭ٧٨
[11:78] And his people came to him rushing as they were used to committing evil. He said O my people here are my daughters, this is purer for you, therefore fear God and do not humiliate me in front of my guests, is there not one guided man amongst you? 
1550 880 2303 1303 368 - - 658 -
قَالُوا۟ لَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ مَا لَنَا فِى بَنَاتِكَ مِنْ حَقٍّۢ وَإِنَّكَ لَتَعْلَمُ مَا نُرِيدُ٧٩
[11:79] They said, you know we have no need for your daughters, surely you know exactly what we want. 
1551 881 2304 1304 - - - - -
قَالَ لَوْ أَنَّ لِى بِكُمْ قُوَّةً أَوْ ءَاوِىٓ إِلَىٰ رُكْنٍۢ شَدِيدٍۢ٨٠
[11:80] He said, O I wished I had power over you, or had a prominent position.
1552 882 2305 1305 - - - - -
قَالُوا۟ يَٰلُوطُ إِنَّا رُسُلُ رَبِّكَ لَن يَصِلُوٓا۟ إِلَيْكَ فَأَسْرِ بِأَهْلِكَ بِقِطْعٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلَّيْلِ وَلَا يَلْتَفِتْ مِنكُمْ أَحَدٌ إِلَّا ٱمْرَأَتَكَ إِنَّهُۥ مُصِيبُهَا مَآ أَصَابَهُمْ إِنَّ مَوْعِدَهُمُ ٱلصُّبْحُ أَلَيْسَ ٱلصُّبْحُ بِقَرِيبٍۢ٨١
[11:81] They said, O Lot, we are indeed your Lord’s messengers and they cannot touch you, therefore, get out with your family during the night and none of you shall look back except your wife, for indeed she will be afflicted by what they are going to be afflicted with. Their promised time is the morning. Is the morning not soon enough?
1553 883 2306 1306 - - - - -
فَلَمَّا جَآءَ أَمْرُنَا جَعَلْنَا عَٰلِيَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهَا حِجَارَةًۭ مِّن سِجِّيلٍۢ مَّنضُودٍۢ٨٢
[11:82] Then when Our command was issued, We turned it upside down and showered it with rocks precipitated from mud - 
1554 884 2307 1307 369 - - 659 -
مُّسَوَّمَةً عِندَ رَبِّكَ وَمَا هِىَ مِنَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ بِبَعِيدٍۢ٨٣
[11:83] - marked by your Lord to strike the transgressors in their midst.
1555 885 2308 1308 - 865 1365 - 335
وَإِلَىٰ مَدْيَنَ أَخَاهُمْ شُعَيْبًۭا قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرُهُۥ وَلَا تَنقُصُوا۟ ٱلْمِكْيَالَ وَٱلْمِيزَانَ إِنِّىٓ أَرَىٰكُم بِخَيْرٍۢ وَإِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍۢ مُّحِيطٍۢ٨٤
[11:84] And to the Medians, went their brother Jethro.  He said, O my people; worship God ; you have no other god besides Him. You shall not cheat with measurement and the scale. Indeed, I want to see you do well and Indeed I fear for you the day when punishment completely surrounds you.
1556 886 2309 1309 - - - - -
وَيَٰقَوْمِ أَوْفُوا۟ ٱلْمِكْيَالَ وَٱلْمِيزَانَ بِٱلْقِسْطِ وَلَا تَبْخَسُوا۟ ٱلنَّاسَ أَشْيَآءَهُمْ وَلَا تَعْثَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ٨٥
[11:85] And O my people, fulfil the measurement and the scale, equitably. Do not cheat people out of their belongings. And do not roam the land as corrupters.
1557 887 2310 1310 - 866 1366 - 336
بَقِيَّتُ ٱللَّهِ خَيْرٌۭ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ عَلَيْكُم بِحَفِيظٍۢ٨٦
[11:86] What is left for you by God is better for you if you are faithful.  And I am not your guardian.
1558 888 2311 1311 - - - - -
قَالُوا۟ يَٰشُعَيْبُ أَصَلَوٰتُكَ تَأْمُرُكَ أَن نَّتْرُكَ مَا يَعْبُدُ ءَابَآؤُنَآ أَوْ أَن نَّفْعَلَ فِىٓ أَمْوَٰلِنَا مَا نَشَٰٓؤُا۟ إِنَّكَ لَأَنتَ ٱلْحَلِيمُ ٱلرَّشِيدُ٨٧
[11:87] They said, O Jethro; does your contact prayer command us that we abandon what our fathers used to worship or not to do with our wealth as we wish? Indeed you used to be clement, guided.

قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ أَرَءَيْتُمْ إِن كُنتُ عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَةٍۢ مِّن رَّبِّى وَرَزَقَنِى مِنْهُ رِزْقًا حَسَنًۭا وَمَآ أُرِيدُ أَنْ أُخَالِفَكُمْ إِلَىٰ مَآ أَنْهَىٰكُمْ عَنْهُ إِنْ أُرِيدُ إِلَّا ٱلْإِصْلَٰحَ مَا ٱسْتَطَعْتُ وَمَا تَوْفِيقِىٓ إِلَّا بِٱللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَإِلَيْهِ أُنِيبُ٨٨
[11:88] He said O my people; may I show you a proof from my Lord that He has provided for me as a blessing? I do not agree with you regarding what I enjoin you from. I only wish to correct as many things as I can. And my success is only attainable through God . I put my trust in Him and to Him I repent.

وَيَٰقَوْمِ لَا يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شِقَاقِىٓ أَن يُصِيبَكُم مِّثْلُ مَآ أَصَابَ قَوْمَ نُوحٍ أَوْ قَوْمَ هُودٍ أَوْ قَوْمَ صَٰلِحٍۢ وَمَا قَوْمُ لُوطٍۢ مِّنكُم بِبَعِيدٍۢ٨٩
[11:89] And O my people; do not commit an error by opposing me, lest you suffer the same disaster as the disaster that afflicted the people of Noah, or the people of Eber, or the people of Saleh.  And the people of Lot were not far away from you. 
1561 891 2314 1314 - - - - -
وَٱسْتَغْفِرُوا۟ رَبَّكُمْ ثُمَّ تُوبُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِ إِنَّ رَبِّى رَحِيمٌۭ وَدُودٌۭ٩٠
[11:90] A nd ask forgiveness from your Lord, then, repent to Him. Indeed my Lord is All Merciful, All Loving.
1562 892 2315 1315 - - - - -
قَالُوا۟ يَٰشُعَيْبُ مَا نَفْقَهُ كَثِيرًۭا مِّمَّا تَقُولُ وَإِنَّا لَنَرَىٰكَ فِينَا ضَعِيفًۭا وَلَوْلَا رَهْطُكَ لَرَجَمْنَٰكَ وَمَآ أَنتَ عَلَيْنَا بِعَزِيزٍۢ٩١
[11:91] They said; O Jethro, we do not understand much of what you say and indeed we see that you are weak amongst us, and if it were not for your clan, we would have surely stoned you, and you would not have any might over us.
1563 893 2316 1316 - 868 1368 - 338
قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ أَرَهْطِىٓ أَعَزُّ عَلَيْكُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَٱتَّخَذْتُمُوهُ وَرَآءَكُمْ ظِهْرِيًّا إِنَّ رَبِّى بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ مُحِيطٌۭ٩٢
[11:92] He said, O my people, is my clan mightier for you than God ? And is it why you are turning your back to Him? Indeed My Lord encompasses everything you do.
1564 894 2317 1317 - - - - -
وَيَٰقَوْمِ ٱعْمَلُوا۟ عَلَىٰ مَكَانَتِكُمْ إِنِّى عَٰمِلٌۭ سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ مَن يَأْتِيهِ عَذَابٌۭ يُخْزِيهِ وَمَنْ هُوَ كَٰذِبٌۭ وَٱرْتَقِبُوٓا۟ إِنِّى مَعَكُمْ رَقِيبٌۭ٩٣
[11:93] And O my people; keep doing what you are doing in your dwellings and so am I. You will soon find out who will receive the humiliating punishment and who the liar is.  And continue to watch for it and I will watch for it, along with you.
1565 895 2318 1318 - - - - -
وَلَمَّا جَآءَ أَمْرُنَا نَجَّيْنَا شُعَيْبًۭا وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مَعَهُۥ بِرَحْمَةٍۢ مِّنَّا وَأَخَذَتِ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ ٱلصَّيْحَةُ فَأَصْبَحُوا۟ فِى دِيَٰرِهِمْ جَٰثِمِينَ٩٤
[11:94] And once Our command was issued, We saved Jethro and those who believed with him as a mercy from Us and the thunder overwhelmed the unjust, leaving them dead in their homes.
1566 896 2319 1319 - - - - -
كَأَن لَّمْ يَغْنَوْا۟ فِيهَآ أَلَا بُعْدًۭا لِّمَدْيَنَ كَمَا بَعِدَتْ ثَمُودُ٩٥
[11:95] It was as though they never prospered therein. Absolutely, the Medians have perished just like Thamoud perished.
1567 897 2320 1320 - - - - -
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مُوسَىٰ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا وَسُلْطَٰنٍۢ مُّبِينٍ٩٦
[11:96] And We sent Moses with Our Signs and a profound authority –
1568 898 2321 1321 371 - - 661 -
إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَإِي۟هِۦ فَٱتَّبَعُوٓا۟ أَمْرَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَآ أَمْرُ فِرْعَوْنَ بِرَشِيدٍۢ٩٧
[11:97] –to Pharaoh and his people who obeyed Pharaoh’s command. However, Pharaoh’s command was void of guidance.
1569 899 2322 1322 - - - - -
يَقْدُمُ قَوْمَهُۥ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ فَأَوْرَدَهُمُ ٱلنَّارَ وَبِئْسَ ٱلْوِرْدُ ٱلْمَوْرُودُ٩٨
[11:98] He will lead his people on the Day of Resurrection as they enter Hell. What a miserable entrance for those who enter.
1570 900 2323 1323 - - - - -
وَأُتْبِعُوا۟ فِى هَٰذِهِۦ لَعْنَةًۭ وَيَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ بِئْسَ ٱلرِّفْدُ ٱلْمَرْفُودُ٩٩
[11:99] They followed damnation here as well as on the Day of Resurrection.  What a miserable gift for the one who received that gift.
1571 901 2324 1324 - - - - -
ذَٰلِكَ مِنْ أَنۢبَآءِ ٱلْقُرَىٰ نَقُصُّهُۥ عَلَيْكَ مِنْهَا قَآئِمٌۭ وَحَصِيدٌۭ١٠٠
[11:100] These are news from communities that We narrate to you. Some are still standing and some were completely wiped out.
1572 902 2325 1325 372 869 1369 662 339
وَمَا ظَلَمْنَٰهُمْ وَلَٰكِن ظَلَمُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ فَمَآ أَغْنَتْ عَنْهُمْ ءَالِهَتُهُمُ ٱلَّتِى يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مِن شَىْءٍۢ لَّمَّا جَآءَ أَمْرُ رَبِّكَ وَمَا زَادُوهُمْ غَيْرَ تَتْبِيبٍۢ١٠١
[11:101] And We were not unjust toward them; they were unjust toward themselves. Therefore, their gods whom they called upon besides God did not enrich them in the least once your Lord’s command was issued, and they gained nothing but destruction.
1573 903 2326 1326 - - - - -
وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَخْذُ رَبِّكَ إِذَآ أَخَذَ ٱلْقُرَىٰ وَهِىَ ظَٰلِمَةٌ إِنَّ أَخْذَهُۥٓ أَلِيمٌۭ شَدِيدٌ١٠٢
[11:102] And such is your Lord’s punishment when communities commit injustice. Indeed His punishment carries the ultimate pain. 
1574 904 2327 1327 373 - - 663 -
إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ لِّمَنْ خَافَ عَذَابَ ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ ذَٰلِكَ يَوْمٌۭ مَّجْمُوعٌۭ لَّهُ ٱلنَّاسُ وَذَٰلِكَ يَوْمٌۭ مَّشْهُودٌۭ١٠٣
[11:103] Indeed in this there is a sign for those who fear the punishment of the Hereafter.  That is the day when all the people are brought before Him, the day that will be witnessed.
1575 905 2328 1328 - - - - -
وَمَا نُؤَخِّرُهُۥٓ إِلَّا لِأَجَلٍۢ مَّعْدُودٍۢ١٠٤
[11:104] And We will delay it until a numerically predetermined time.
1576 906 2329 1329 - - - - -
يَوْمَ يَأْتِ لَا تَكَلَّمُ نَفْسٌ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِۦ فَمِنْهُمْ شَقِىٌّۭ وَسَعِيدٌۭ١٠٥
[11:105] When that day comes, no soul will speak except by His permission.  Amongst them are wretched as well as the happy.
1577 907 2330 1330 - - - - -
فَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ شَقُوا۟ فَفِى ٱلنَّارِ لَهُمْ فِيهَا زَفِيرٌۭ وَشَهِيقٌ١٠٦
[11:106] Then, the wretched end up in Hell, wherein there is screaming and whining.
1578 908 2331 1331 374 - - 664 -
خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا مَا دَامَتِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ وَٱلْأَرْضُ إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ رَبُّكَ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ فَعَّالٌۭ لِّمَا يُرِيدُ١٠٧
[11:107] They abide therein forever, as long as the skies and the land endure in accordance with your Lord’s will.  Indeed, your Lord is the utmost doer of what He wills.
1579 909 2332 1332 - - - - -
وَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ سُعِدُوا۟ فَفِى ٱلْجَنَّةِ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا مَا دَامَتِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ وَٱلْأَرْضُ إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ رَبُّكَ عَطَآءً غَيْرَ مَجْذُوذٍۢ١٠٨
[11:108] As for those who are happy, they are in Paradise wherein they abide forever, as long as the skies and the land endure in accordance with your Lord’s will, a gift without limits.
1580 910 2333 1333 375 - - 665 -
فَلَا تَكُ فِى مِرْيَةٍۢ مِّمَّا يَعْبُدُ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ مَا يَعْبُدُونَ إِلَّا كَمَا يَعْبُدُ ءَابَآؤُهُم مِّن قَبْلُ وَإِنَّا لَمُوَفُّوهُمْ نَصِيبَهُمْ غَيْرَ مَنقُوصٍۢ١٠٩
[11:109] Therefore, do not be in doubt about what these people worship. They do not worship except what their parents worshiped before them.  And indeed We will exact their share without deficiency.
1581 911 2334 1334 - - - - -
وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا مُوسَى ٱلْكِتَٰبَ فَٱخْتُلِفَ فِيهِ وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةٌۭ سَبَقَتْ مِن رَّبِّكَ لَقُضِىَ بَيْنَهُمْ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَفِى شَكٍّۢ مِّنْهُ مُرِيبٍۢ١١٠
[11:110] And indeed We gave Moses the scripture but it was disputed. And if it were not for a preordained word from your Lord, they would have indeed been judged. And surely they are hesitant, full of doubt.
1582 912 2335 1335 - - - - -
وَإِنَّ كُلًّۭا لَّمَّا لَيُوَفِّيَنَّهُمْ رَبُّكَ أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ إِنَّهُۥ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرٌۭ١١١
[11:111] And indeed all of them will receive their share from your Lord because of their deeds. Indeed He is fully cognizant of what they do. 
1583 913 2336 1336 - - - - -
فَٱسْتَقِمْ كَمَآ أُمِرْتَ وَمَن تَابَ مَعَكَ وَلَا تَطْغَوْا۟ إِنَّهُۥ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌۭ١١٢
[11:112] Therefore, be steadfast as you were commanded and so shall those who repented along with you and do not rebel. Indeed He is All Seer of everything you do.
1584 914 2337 1337 376 870 1370 666 340
وَلَا تَرْكَنُوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ فَتَمَسَّكُمُ ٱلنَّارُ وَمَا لَكُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مِنْ أَوْلِيَآءَ ثُمَّ لَا تُنصَرُونَ١١٣
[11:113] And do not rely on the unjust, lest you will end up in Hell and you will have no ally besides God and you will never be helped.
1585 915 2338 1338 - - - - -
وَأَقِمِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ طَرَفَىِ ٱلنَّهَارِ وَزُلَفًۭا مِّنَ ٱلَّيْلِ إِنَّ ٱلْحَسَنَٰتِ يُذْهِبْنَ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ ذَٰلِكَ ذِكْرَىٰ لِلذَّٰكِرِينَ١١٤
[11:114] And observe the contact prayer at both ends of the daylight and early evening. Indeed the good wipes out the bad. This is a reminder for those who take the reminder.
1586 916 2339 1339 - 871 1371 - 341
وَٱصْبِرْ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُضِيعُ أَجْرَ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ١١٥
[11:115] And be patient, for God will never put to waste the reward for the righteous.
1587 917 2340 1340 - - - - -
فَلَوْلَا كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْقُرُونِ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ أُو۟لُوا۟ بَقِيَّةٍۢ يَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ ٱلْفَسَادِ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ إِلَّا قَلِيلًۭا مِّمَّنْ أَنجَيْنَا مِنْهُمْ وَٱتَّبَعَ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ مَآ أُتْرِفُوا۟ فِيهِ وَكَانُوا۟ مُجْرِمِينَ١١٦
[11:116] Hence, only if the previous generations were intelligent enough to forbid evil throughout the land, as a few of them were whom We saved. As for those who followed the transgressors, they enjoyed themselves temporarily and they were guilty.
1588 918 2341 1341 - - - - -
وَمَا كَانَ رَبُّكَ لِيُهْلِكَ ٱلْقُرَىٰ بِظُلْمٍۢ وَأَهْلُهَا مُصْلِحُونَ١١٧
[11:117] And your Lord will never annihilate a community unjustly while its inhabitants are righteous.
1589 919 2342 1342 - - - - -
وَلَوْ شَآءَ رَبُّكَ لَجَعَلَ ٱلنَّاسَ أُمَّةًۭ وَٰحِدَةًۭ وَلَا يَزَالُونَ مُخْتَلِفِينَ١١٨
[11:118] And if your Lord willed, He would have indeed made the humans a single congregation; however, they always dispute –
1590 920 2343 1343 - - - - -
إِلَّا مَن رَّحِمَ رَبُّكَ وَلِذَٰلِكَ خَلَقَهُمْ وَتَمَّتْ كَلِمَةُ رَبِّكَ لَأَمْلَأَنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنَ ٱلْجِنَّةِ وَٱلنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ١١٩
[11:119] –except those upon whom your Lord has bestowed mercy.  And for this reason He created them. And your Lord’s word is fulfilled; I will indeed fill Gehenna with Jinns and Humans together.
1591 921 2344 1344 - - - - -
وَكُلًّۭا نَّقُصُّ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ أَنۢبَآءِ ٱلرُّسُلِ مَا نُثَبِّتُ بِهِۦ فُؤَادَكَ وَجَآءَكَ فِى هَٰذِهِ ٱلْحَقُّ وَمَوْعِظَةٌۭ وَذِكْرَىٰ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ١٢٠
[11:120] And We thus narrate to you the news from some messengers in order to strengthen your heart therewith.  This comes to you as the truth and enlightenment and a reminder for the faithful.
1592 922 2345 1345 - - - - -
وَقُل لِّلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ ٱعْمَلُوا۟ عَلَىٰ مَكَانَتِكُمْ إِنَّا عَٰمِلُونَ١٢١
[11:121] And say to those who have no faith; continue what you are doing in your dwellings and so will we. 
1593 923 2346 1346 - - - - -
وَٱنتَظِرُوٓا۟ إِنَّا مُنتَظِرُونَ١٢٢
[11:122] And wait and we will surely wait.
1594 924 2347 1347 - 872 1372 - 342
وَلِلَّهِ غَيْبُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَإِلَيْهِ يُرْجَعُ ٱلْأَمْرُ كُلُّهُۥ فَٱعْبُدْهُ وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَيْهِ وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِغَٰفِلٍ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ١٢٣
[11:123] And to God belongs the secret of the skies and the land and all matters are referred to Him, therefore, you shall worship Him and put your trust in Him.  And your Lord is never unaware of what you do.
