بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the name of God, The All Gracious, The All Merciful
2139 910 3566 1563 - 1034 1584 - 731
ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنزَلَ عَلَىٰ عَبْدِهِ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَلَمْ يَجْعَل لَّهُۥ عِوَجَا١
[18:1] Praise God , The One who revealed the scripture to His servant and made it flawless.
2140 911 3567 1564 520 - - 994 -
قَيِّمًۭا لِّيُنذِرَ بَأْسًۭا شَدِيدًۭا مِّن لَّدُنْهُ وَيُبَشِّرَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ أَنَّ لَهُمْ أَجْرًا حَسَنًۭا٢
[18:2] A guardian to warn of an ultimate might from His special place and to give good news to the faithful who lead a righteous life that reserved for them is a beautiful recompense,-
2141 912 3568 1565 521 - - 995 -
مَّٰكِثِينَ فِيهِ أَبَدًۭا٣
[18:3] -to be enjoyed eternally.
2142 913 3569 1566 - 1035 1585 - 732
وَيُنذِرَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوا۟ ٱتَّخَذَ ٱللَّهُ وَلَدًۭا٤
[18:4] And to warn those who said, God has begotten a son.
2143 914 3570 1567 522 - - 996 -
مَّا لَهُم بِهِۦ مِنْ عِلْمٍۢ وَلَا لِءَابَآئِهِمْ كَبُرَتْ كَلِمَةًۭ تَخْرُجُ مِنْ أَفْوَٰهِهِمْ إِن يَقُولُونَ إِلَّا كَذِبًۭا٥
[18:5] They have no knowledge thereof, nor do their forefathers. It is a grave utterance coming out of their mouths. They utter only a lie.
2144 915 3571 1568 - - - - -
فَلَعَلَّكَ بَٰخِعٌۭ نَّفْسَكَ عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَٰرِهِمْ إِن لَّمْ يُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِهَٰذَا ٱلْحَدِيثِ أَسَفًا٦
[18:6] You may blame yourself for their legacy if they make the sad choice not to believe in this narration. 
2145 916 3572 1569 523 - - 997 -
إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا مَا عَلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ زِينَةًۭ لَّهَا لِنَبْلُوَهُمْ أَيُّهُمْ أَحْسَنُ عَمَلًۭا٧
[18:7] Indeed, We placed adornments on the land in order to test which one of them will do better.
2146 917 3573 1570 - - - - -
وَإِنَّا لَجَٰعِلُونَ مَا عَلَيْهَا صَعِيدًۭا جُرُزًا٨
[18:8] And indeed We will render everything on it dry and barren. 
2147 918 3574 1571 - - - - -
أَمْ حَسِبْتَ أَنَّ أَصْحَٰبَ ٱلْكَهْفِ وَٱلرَّقِيمِ كَانُوا۟ مِنْ ءَايَٰتِنَا عَجَبًا٩
[18:9] Why do you think indeed the people of the cave and the numbers associated with them is one of Our astonishing Signs.
2148 919 3575 1572 - - - - -
إِذْ أَوَى ٱلْفِتْيَةُ إِلَى ٱلْكَهْفِ فَقَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَآ ءَاتِنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحْمَةًۭ وَهَيِّئْ لَنَا مِنْ أَمْرِنَا رَشَدًۭا١٠
[18:10] When the youths took refuge in the cave, they then said, our Lord, shower us with mercy from Your special place and ease our task with your guidance.
2149 920 3576 1573 524 - - 998 -
فَضَرَبْنَا عَلَىٰٓ ءَاذَانِهِمْ فِى ٱلْكَهْفِ سِنِينَ عَدَدًۭا١١
[18:11] We then removed their hearing in the cave for a specific number of years.
2150 921 3577 1574 - - - - -
ثُمَّ بَعَثْنَٰهُمْ لِنَعْلَمَ أَىُّ ٱلْحِزْبَيْنِ أَحْصَىٰ لِمَا لَبِثُوٓا۟ أَمَدًۭا١٢
[18:12] We then roused them to see which one of the two groups can calculate how long they stayed therein.
2151 922 3578 1575 525 - - 999 -
نَّحْنُ نَقُصُّ عَلَيْكَ نَبَأَهُم بِٱلْحَقِّ إِنَّهُمْ فِتْيَةٌ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِرَبِّهِمْ وَزِدْنَٰهُمْ هُدًۭى١٣
[18:13] We narrate to you their history truthfully. Indeed they were youths who had faith in their Lord and We increased their guidance.
2152 923 3579 1576 - - - - -
وَرَبَطْنَا عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ إِذْ قَامُوا۟ فَقَالُوا۟ رَبُّنَا رَبُّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ لَن نَّدْعُوَا۟ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ إِلَٰهًۭا لَّقَدْ قُلْنَآ إِذًۭا شَطَطًا١٤
[18:14] And We made them of a single mind so they stood up and said; our Lord is the Lord of the skies and the land, we will never call upon any other god besides Him, lest our utterance would be misguided.
2153 924 3580 1577 - 1036 1586 - 733
هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ قَوْمُنَا ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ ءَالِهَةًۭ لَّوْلَا يَأْتُونَ عَلَيْهِم بِسُلْطَٰنٍۭ بَيِّنٍۢ فَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفْتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًۭا١٥
[18:15] Here are our people who have taken another god besides Him; wherein they never received any clear authorization, therefore, who is more unjust than the one who attributes a lie to God ?
2154 925 3581 1578 - 1037 1587 - 734
وَإِذِ ٱعْتَزَلْتُمُوهُمْ وَمَا يَعْبُدُونَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهَ فَأْوُۥٓا۟ إِلَى ٱلْكَهْفِ يَنشُرْ لَكُمْ رَبُّكُم مِّن رَّحْمَتِهِۦ وَيُهَيِّئْ لَكُم مِّنْ أَمْرِكُم مِّرْفَقًۭا١٦
[18:16] And since you avoided them and their lack of worship of God , then let us take refuge in this cave, your Lord will then provide for you from His mercy and will ease your task.
2155 926 3582 1579 526 1038 1588, 1589 1000 735, 736
وَتَرَى ٱلشَّمْسَ إِذَا طَلَعَت تَّزَٰوَرُ عَن كَهْفِهِمْ ذَاتَ ٱلْيَمِينِ وَإِذَا غَرَبَت تَّقْرِضُهُمْ ذَاتَ ٱلشِّمَالِ وَهُمْ فِى فَجْوَةٍۢ مِّنْهُ ذَٰلِكَ مِنْ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ مَن يَهْدِ ٱللَّهُ فَهُوَ ٱلْمُهْتَدِ وَمَن يُضْلِلْ فَلَن تَجِدَ لَهُۥ وَلِيًّۭا مُّرْشِدًۭا١٧
[18:17] And you would see the sun rose to the right side of the cave and set to the left side, as they were inside its cavity. These are from God ’s signs. And whomever God guides then is truly guided, and whoever goes astray, then you will never find a guiding protector for him.

وَتَحْسَبُهُمْ أَيْقَاظًۭا وَهُمْ رُقُودٌۭ وَنُقَلِّبُهُمْ ذَاتَ ٱلْيَمِينِ وَذَاتَ ٱلشِّمَالِ وَكَلْبُهُم بَٰسِطٌۭ ذِرَاعَيْهِ بِٱلْوَصِيدِ لَوِ ٱطَّلَعْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ لَوَلَّيْتَ مِنْهُمْ فِرَارًۭا وَلَمُلِئْتَ مِنْهُمْ رُعْبًۭا١٨
[18:18] And you would think that they were awake while in fact they were asleep. And We turned them to the right and the left as their dog stretched his two arms in the cave. Had you come across them you would have run away as you would have been terrified by them.

وَكَذَٰلِكَ بَعَثْنَٰهُمْ لِيَتَسَآءَلُوا۟ بَيْنَهُمْ قَالَ قَآئِلٌۭ مِّنْهُمْ كَمْ لَبِثْتُمْ قَالُوا۟ لَبِثْنَا يَوْمًا أَوْ بَعْضَ يَوْمٍۢ قَالُوا۟ رَبُّكُمْ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا لَبِثْتُمْ فَٱبْعَثُوٓا۟ أَحَدَكُم بِوَرِقِكُمْ هَٰذِهِۦٓ إِلَى ٱلْمَدِينَةِ فَلْيَنظُرْ أَيُّهَآ أَزْكَىٰ طَعَامًۭا فَلْيَأْتِكُم بِرِزْقٍۢ مِّنْهُ وَلْيَتَلَطَّفْ وَلَا يُشْعِرَنَّ بِكُمْ أَحَدًا١٩
[18:19] And We then resurrected them, as they debated amongst themselves. Their spokesman said; how long were you here? They said a day or part of a day. They said your Lord knows well how long you were here, therefore, send one of you to the town with this note, and find out who is having clean food, so you can bring some provision therefrom and be watchful that no one recognizes you.
2158 929 3585 1582 - - - - -
إِنَّهُمْ إِن يَظْهَرُوا۟ عَلَيْكُمْ يَرْجُمُوكُمْ أَوْ يُعِيدُوكُمْ فِى مِلَّتِهِمْ وَلَن تُفْلِحُوٓا۟ إِذًا أَبَدًۭا٢٠
[18:20] For if your identity is revealed, they may stone you or force you to join their nation and you will never see success again.
2159 930 3586 1583 - 1039 1590 - 737
وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَعْثَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ لِيَعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقٌّۭ وَأَنَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهَآ إِذْ يَتَنَٰزَعُونَ بَيْنَهُمْ أَمْرَهُمْ فَقَالُوا۟ ٱبْنُوا۟ عَلَيْهِم بُنْيَٰنًۭا رَّبُّهُمْ أَعْلَمُ بِهِمْ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ غَلَبُوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَمْرِهِمْ لَنَتَّخِذَنَّ عَلَيْهِم مَّسْجِدًۭا٢١
[18:21] And We thus arranged for them to be discovered, so they may know that God ’s promise is true and that the Hour is surely coming without a doubt. As they argued amongst themselves regarding this matter, they said, let us make a building to commemorate them, it is their Lord who knows all about them. Those who finally won the argument said; let us build a mosque for them.
2160 931 3587 1584 - - - - -
سَيَقُولُونَ ثَلَٰثَةٌۭ رَّابِعُهُمْ كَلْبُهُمْ وَيَقُولُونَ خَمْسَةٌۭ سَادِسُهُمْ كَلْبُهُمْ رَجْمًۢا بِٱلْغَيْبِ وَيَقُولُونَ سَبْعَةٌۭ وَثَامِنُهُمْ كَلْبُهُمْ قُل رَّبِّىٓ أَعْلَمُ بِعِدَّتِهِم مَّا يَعْلَمُهُمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلٌۭ فَلَا تُمَارِ فِيهِمْ إِلَّا مِرَآءًۭ ظَٰهِرًۭا وَلَا تَسْتَفْتِ فِيهِم مِّنْهُمْ أَحَدًۭا٢٢
[18:22] They said; they were three, their dog being the fourth, while some said; they were five, their dog being the sixth, as they were shooting in the dark. And also they said; they were seven, their dog being the eighth. Say, my Lord knows their number exactly and no one knows their number except a few. Therefore, do not argue with them, but go along with them, you do not need to seek any advice from them regarding this.
2161 932 3588 1585 528 - - 1002 -
وَلَا تَقُولَنَّ لِشَا۟ىْءٍ إِنِّى فَاعِلٌۭ ذَٰلِكَ غَدًا٢٣
[18:23] And do not say that I will do this tomorrow -
2162 933 3589 1586 - 1040 1591 - 738
إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ ٱللَّهُ وَٱذْكُر رَّبَّكَ إِذَا نَسِيتَ وَقُلْ عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَهْدِيَنِ رَبِّى لِأَقْرَبَ مِنْ هَٰذَا رَشَدًۭا٢٤
[18:24] -except to say “God willing”. And remember your Lord when you forget and say; may my Lord guide me to closely follow His guidance.
2163 934 3590 1587 - - - - -
وَلَبِثُوا۟ فِى كَهْفِهِمْ ثَلَٰثَ مِا۟ئَةٍۢ سِنِينَ وَٱزْدَادُوا۟ تِسْعًۭا٢٥
[18:25] And they stayed in their cave three hundred years, increased by nine.
2164 935 3591 1588 - 1041 1592 - 739
قُلِ ٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا لَبِثُوا۟ لَهُۥ غَيْبُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ أَبْصِرْ بِهِۦ وَأَسْمِعْ مَا لَهُم مِّن دُونِهِۦ مِن وَلِىٍّۢ وَلَا يُشْرِكُ فِى حُكْمِهِۦٓ أَحَدًۭا٢٦
[18:26] Say, God knows exactly how long they stayed, the secrets of the skies and the land belong to Him, He sees all and hears all. As for you, you do not have any ally besides Him and no one is allowed as a partner in His judgment.
2165 936 3592 1589 - - - - -
وَٱتْلُ مَآ أُوحِىَ إِلَيْكَ مِن كِتَابِ رَبِّكَ لَا مُبَدِّلَ لِكَلِمَٰتِهِۦ وَلَن تَجِدَ مِن دُونِهِۦ مُلْتَحَدًۭا٢٧
[18:27] And recite to them what is inspired to you from your Lord’s scripture. There is no substitute for His words, and you cannot find any one besides Him as a refuge.
2166 937 3593 1590 - - - - -
وَٱصْبِرْ نَفْسَكَ مَعَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ رَبَّهُم بِٱلْغَدَوٰةِ وَٱلْعَشِىِّ يُرِيدُونَ وَجْهَهُۥ وَلَا تَعْدُ عَيْنَاكَ عَنْهُمْ تُرِيدُ زِينَةَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَلَا تُطِعْ مَنْ أَغْفَلْنَا قَلْبَهُۥ عَن ذِكْرِنَا وَٱتَّبَعَ هَوَىٰهُ وَكَانَ أَمْرُهُۥ فُرُطًۭا٢٨
[18:28] And be patient with those who call upon their Lord day and night, seeking His face and do not take your eyes off them seeking the vanities of this world, and do not obey those whom We rendered their hearts oblivious to Our commemoration and they follow their own desires and lack restraint.
2167 938 3594 1591 529 - - 1003 -
وَقُلِ ٱلْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكُمْ فَمَن شَآءَ فَلْيُؤْمِن وَمَن شَآءَ فَلْيَكْفُرْ إِنَّآ أَعْتَدْنَا لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ نَارًا أَحَاطَ بِهِمْ سُرَادِقُهَا وَإِن يَسْتَغِيثُوا۟ يُغَاثُوا۟ بِمَآءٍۢ كَٱلْمُهْلِ يَشْوِى ٱلْوُجُوهَ بِئْسَ ٱلشَّرَابُ وَسَآءَتْ مُرْتَفَقًا٢٩
[18:29] And say, this is the truth from your Lord. Therefore whoever wills then he may attain faith, and whoever wills, then he may reject it. We have indeed promised for the transgressors, a fire that completely surrounds them like a tent. When they ask for rain, they get a rain of water like lava that burns their faces, what a miserable drink, what a miserable destiny!
2168 939 3595 1592 - - - - -
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ إِنَّا لَا نُضِيعُ أَجْرَ مَنْ أَحْسَنَ عَمَلًا٣٠
[18:30] Indeed as for those who have attained faith and led a righteous life, we will indeed never put to waste the reward for those who do righteous work.
2169 940 3596 1593 530 - - 1004 -
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ جَنَّٰتُ عَدْنٍۢ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهِمُ ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ يُحَلَّوْنَ فِيهَا مِنْ أَسَاوِرَ مِن ذَهَبٍۢ وَيَلْبَسُونَ ثِيَابًا خُضْرًۭا مِّن سُندُسٍۢ وَإِسْتَبْرَقٍۢ مُّتَّكِـِٔينَ فِيهَا عَلَى ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ نِعْمَ ٱلثَّوَابُ وَحَسُنَتْ مُرْتَفَقًۭا٣١
[18:31] Reserved for them are the Gardens of Eden, wherein streams flow beneath them and they wear gold jewelry and their clothes are made of green silk and glow, they lean on luxurious furnishings. This is the best reward and the best destiny.
2170 941 3597 1594 - - - - -
وَٱضْرِبْ لَهُم مَّثَلًۭا رَّجُلَيْنِ جَعَلْنَا لِأَحَدِهِمَا جَنَّتَيْنِ مِنْ أَعْنَٰبٍۢ وَحَفَفْنَٰهُمَا بِنَخْلٍۢ وَجَعَلْنَا بَيْنَهُمَا زَرْعًۭا٣٢
[18:32] And cite the example of the two men; We provided for one of them two gardens of grapes surrounded by palm trees while between the two were crops.
2171 942 3598 1595 - - - - -
كِلْتَا ٱلْجَنَّتَيْنِ ءَاتَتْ أُكُلَهَا وَلَمْ تَظْلِم مِّنْهُ شَيْـًۭٔا وَفَجَّرْنَا خِلَٰلَهُمَا نَهَرًۭا٣٣
[18:33] The two gardens always produced their provisions, and he never suffered the least injustice. And We caused a stream to flow in their midst.
2172 943 3599 1596 - - - - -
وَكَانَ لَهُۥ ثَمَرٌۭ فَقَالَ لِصَٰحِبِهِۦ وَهُوَ يُحَاوِرُهُۥٓ أَنَا۠ أَكْثَرُ مِنكَ مَالًۭا وَأَعَزُّ نَفَرًۭا٣٤
[18:34] And when they bore the fruits for him, he then said to his friend as he was chatting with him, that I have more wealth than you and a mightier family.
2173 944 3600 1597 - - - - -
وَدَخَلَ جَنَّتَهُۥ وَهُوَ ظَالِمٌۭ لِّنَفْسِهِۦ قَالَ مَآ أَظُنُّ أَن تَبِيدَ هَٰذِهِۦٓ أَبَدًۭا٣٥
[18:35] And he entered his garden, being unjust to himself, he said, I don’t think that this is ever going to run out.
2174 945 3601 1598 - - - - -
وَمَآ أَظُنُّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ قَآئِمَةًۭ وَلَئِن رُّدِدتُّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّى لَأَجِدَنَّ خَيْرًۭا مِّنْهَا مُنقَلَبًۭا٣٦
[18:36] And I do not think that the Hour would ever come, and even if I am returned to my Lord, I would find better than this as a reward.
2175 946 3602 1599 531 - - 1005 -
قَالَ لَهُۥ صَاحِبُهُۥ وَهُوَ يُحَاوِرُهُۥٓ أَكَفَرْتَ بِٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكَ مِن تُرَابٍۢ ثُمَّ مِن نُّطْفَةٍۢ ثُمَّ سَوَّىٰكَ رَجُلًۭا٣٧
[18:37] His friend told him as he was chatting with him, are you disbelieving in the One who created you from dust, then from semen, then He perfected you as a man?
2176 947 3603 1600 - 1042 1593 - 740
لَّٰكِنَّا۠ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ رَبِّى وَلَآ أُشْرِكُ بِرَبِّىٓ أَحَدًۭا٣٨
[18:38] As for me, He is God , my Lord and I do not set up any one as a partner for my Lord.
2177 948 3604 1601 - 1043 1594, 1595 - 741, 742
وَلَوْلَآ إِذْ دَخَلْتَ جَنَّتَكَ قُلْتَ مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِٱللَّهِ إِن تَرَنِ أَنَا۠ أَقَلَّ مِنكَ مَالًۭا وَوَلَدًۭا٣٩
[18:39] As for you, when you entered your garden, you should have said, this is a gift from God ; there is no power except that of God . You may see -that I have less money and children than you-
2178 949 3605 1602 - - - - -
فَعَسَىٰ رَبِّىٓ أَن يُؤْتِيَنِ خَيْرًۭا مِّن جَنَّتِكَ وَيُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهَا حُسْبَانًۭا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَتُصْبِحَ صَعِيدًۭا زَلَقًا٤٠
[18:40] -but then again, my Lord may grant me something better than your garden and He may send down upon it a storm from the sky then you would find it completely barren in the morning.
2179 950 3606 1603 532 - - 1006 -
أَوْ يُصْبِحَ مَآؤُهَا غَوْرًۭا فَلَن تَسْتَطِيعَ لَهُۥ طَلَبًۭا٤١
[18:41] Or its water may sink and you will never be able to pump it.
2180 951 3607 1604 - - - - -
وَأُحِيطَ بِثَمَرِهِۦ فَأَصْبَحَ يُقَلِّبُ كَفَّيْهِ عَلَىٰ مَآ أَنفَقَ فِيهَا وَهِىَ خَاوِيَةٌ عَلَىٰ عُرُوشِهَا وَيَقُولُ يَٰلَيْتَنِى لَمْ أُشْرِكْ بِرَبِّىٓ أَحَدًۭا٤٢
[18:42] And the fruit of his toil was gone and he ended up empty handed despite all the efforts he put in and found the entire domain completely barren and he said, O I wished I had never set up any one as a partner for my Lord.
2181 952 3608 1605 533 1044 1596 1007 743
وَلَمْ تَكُن لَّهُۥ فِئَةٌۭ يَنصُرُونَهُۥ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَمَا كَانَ مُنتَصِرًا٤٣
[18:43] And there was no one besides God who could help him and he was completely helpless.
2182 953 3609 1606 - 1045 1597 - 744
هُنَالِكَ ٱلْوَلَٰيَةُ لِلَّهِ ٱلْحَقِّ هُوَ خَيْرٌۭ ثَوَابًۭا وَخَيْرٌ عُقْبًۭا٤٤
[18:44] There it is; all supremacy truly belongs to God. He has the best reward and provides the best destiny.
2183 954 3610 1607 - 1046 1598 - 745
وَٱضْرِبْ لَهُم مَّثَلَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا كَمَآءٍ أَنزَلْنَٰهُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَٱخْتَلَطَ بِهِۦ نَبَاتُ ٱلْأَرْضِ فَأَصْبَحَ هَشِيمًۭا تَذْرُوهُ ٱلرِّيَٰحُ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ مُّقْتَدِرًا٤٥
[18:45] And cite for them the example of this worldly life is like the water that We send down from the sky, it then mixes in to produce plants from the land then it will turn into hay blown away by the wind. And God is All Powerful over all things.

ٱلْمَالُ وَٱلْبَنُونَ زِينَةُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلْبَٰقِيَٰتُ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتُ خَيْرٌ عِندَ رَبِّكَ ثَوَابًۭا وَخَيْرٌ أَمَلًۭا٤٦
[18:46] Money and male offspring are the vanities of this worldly life and the lasting righteousness is far better at your Lord as a reward and a far better aspiration.
2185 956 3612 1609 534 - - 1008 -
وَيَوْمَ نُسَيِّرُ ٱلْجِبَالَ وَتَرَى ٱلْأَرْضَ بَارِزَةًۭ وَحَشَرْنَٰهُمْ فَلَمْ نُغَادِرْ مِنْهُمْ أَحَدًۭا٤٧
[18:47] And the day when We move the mountains and you will see the land bulging out, and We will gather them all and We will not leave a single one behind.
2186 957 3613 1610 - - - - -
وَعُرِضُوا۟ عَلَىٰ رَبِّكَ صَفًّۭا لَّقَدْ جِئْتُمُونَا كَمَا خَلَقْنَٰكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍۭ بَلْ زَعَمْتُمْ أَلَّن نَّجْعَلَ لَكُم مَّوْعِدًۭا٤٨
[18:48] And they will be presented to your Lord in rows just as We created you the first time. Did you really think that We did not arrange this appointment for you?
2187 958 3614 1611 - - - - -
وَوُضِعَ ٱلْكِتَٰبُ فَتَرَى ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ مُشْفِقِينَ مِمَّا فِيهِ وَيَقُولُونَ يَٰوَيْلَتَنَا مَالِ هَٰذَا ٱلْكِتَٰبِ لَا يُغَادِرُ صَغِيرَةًۭ وَلَا كَبِيرَةً إِلَّآ أَحْصَىٰهَا وَوَجَدُوا۟ مَا عَمِلُوا۟ حَاضِرًۭا وَلَا يَظْلِمُ رَبُّكَ أَحَدًۭا٤٩
[18:49] And the record will be presented and you will see that the guilty are fearful of its content and they say woe to us, why does this book not leave anything out, small or large, without counting it? And they find everything they had done presented to them. And your Lord is never unjust toward anyone.
2188 959 3615 1612 - - - - -
وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ ٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِءَادَمَ فَسَجَدُوٓا۟ إِلَّآ إِبْلِيسَ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْجِنِّ فَفَسَقَ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِۦٓ أَفَتَتَّخِذُونَهُۥ وَذُرِّيَّتَهُۥٓ أَوْلِيَآءَ مِن دُونِى وَهُمْ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّۢ بِئْسَ لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ بَدَلًۭا٥٠
[18:50] And when We said to the angels to honor Adam, they all did, except Iblis; he became a jinn and disobeyed his Lord’s command. Are you then going to take him and his descendents as allies besides Me, while they are your enemies? What a miserable substitute for the transgressors!
2189 960 3616 1613 - - - - -
مَّآ أَشْهَدتُّهُمْ خَلْقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا خَلْقَ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَمَا كُنتُ مُتَّخِذَ ٱلْمُضِلِّينَ عَضُدًۭا٥١
[18:51] I did not allow them to witness the creation of the skies and the land, nor their own creation, and I do not take the misleaders as assistants.
2190 961 3617 1614 - - - - -
وَيَوْمَ يَقُولُ نَادُوا۟ شُرَكَآءِىَ ٱلَّذِينَ زَعَمْتُمْ فَدَعَوْهُمْ فَلَمْ يَسْتَجِيبُوا۟ لَهُمْ وَجَعَلْنَا بَيْنَهُم مَّوْبِقًۭا٥٢
[18:52] And the day He says, call upon My partners, those whom you conjectured; they will call them, but they will not respond to them and We make them completely isolated.
2191 962 3618 1615 535 - - 1009 -
وَرَءَا ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ ٱلنَّارَ فَظَنُّوٓا۟ أَنَّهُم مُّوَاقِعُوهَا وَلَمْ يَجِدُوا۟ عَنْهَا مَصْرِفًۭا٥٣
[18:53] And the guilty will see Hell, and they realize that indeed it will be their abode and they cannot find any way to avoid it.
2192 963 3619 1616 - - - - -
وَلَقَدْ صَرَّفْنَا فِى هَٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانِ لِلنَّاسِ مِن كُلِّ مَثَلٍۢ وَكَانَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ أَكْثَرَ شَىْءٍۢ جَدَلًۭا٥٤
[18:54] And indeed We cited in this Quran all kinds of examples, however, the human being argues about most things.
2193 964 3620 1617 - - - - -
وَمَا مَنَعَ ٱلنَّاسَ أَن يُؤْمِنُوٓا۟ إِذْ جَآءَهُمُ ٱلْهُدَىٰ وَيَسْتَغْفِرُوا۟ رَبَّهُمْ إِلَّآ أَن تَأْتِيَهُمْ سُنَّةُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ أَوْ يَأْتِيَهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ قُبُلًۭا٥٥
[18:55] Nothing prevented the people from believing when receiving guidance and asking their Lord’s forgiveness except that they demanded the same method as that of previous generations or that they asked for the suffering beforehand.
2194 965 3621 1618 - - - - -
وَمَا نُرْسِلُ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ إِلَّا مُبَشِّرِينَ وَمُنذِرِينَ وَيُجَٰدِلُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِٱلْبَٰطِلِ لِيُدْحِضُوا۟ بِهِ ٱلْحَقَّ وَٱتَّخَذُوٓا۟ ءَايَٰتِى وَمَآ أُنذِرُوا۟ هُزُوًۭا٥٦
[18:56] And We do not send messengers except as bearers of good news as well as warners. As for the unfaithful, they argue with falsehood in order to defeat the truth, and they ridicule My proofs and My warnings.
2195 966 3622 1619 - - - - -
وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّن ذُكِّرَ بِـَٔايَٰتِ رَبِّهِۦ فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهَا وَنَسِىَ مَا قَدَّمَتْ يَدَاهُ إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ أَكِنَّةً أَن يَفْقَهُوهُ وَفِىٓ ءَاذَانِهِمْ وَقْرًۭا وَإِن تَدْعُهُمْ إِلَى ٱلْهُدَىٰ فَلَن يَهْتَدُوٓا۟ إِذًا أَبَدًۭا٥٧
[18:57] And who is more unjust than the one who is reminded of his Lord’s proofs, then, he turns away from them and forgets what his own two hands brought upon him. Indeed, We place a shield on their hearts so they cannot understand it and deafness in their ears, and if you call them to guidance, they will never be guided.
2196 967 3623 1620 - - - - -
وَرَبُّكَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ذُو ٱلرَّحْمَةِ لَوْ يُؤَاخِذُهُم بِمَا كَسَبُوا۟ لَعَجَّلَ لَهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابَ بَل لَّهُم مَّوْعِدٌۭ لَّن يَجِدُوا۟ مِن دُونِهِۦ مَوْئِلًۭا٥٨
[18:58] And your Lord is All Forgiving, possessor of mercy. Had He willed to question them because of what they earned He would have indeed quickened the punishment for them. However, they have an appointed time when they cannot find any sanctuary besides Him.
2197 968 3624 1621 536 - - 1010 -
وَتِلْكَ ٱلْقُرَىٰٓ أَهْلَكْنَٰهُمْ لَمَّا ظَلَمُوا۟ وَجَعَلْنَا لِمَهْلِكِهِم مَّوْعِدًۭا٥٩
[18:59] And here are the communities We annihilated who were unjust, and We set up an appointed time for their annihilation.
2198 969 3625 1622 - - - - -
وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِفَتَىٰهُ لَآ أَبْرَحُ حَتَّىٰٓ أَبْلُغَ مَجْمَعَ ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ أَوْ أَمْضِىَ حُقُبًۭا٦٠
[18:60] And as Moses said to his young lad, I will not stop until I reach where the two seas meet no matter how long it takes.
2199 970 3626 1623 537 - - 1011 -
فَلَمَّا بَلَغَا مَجْمَعَ بَيْنِهِمَا نَسِيَا حُوتَهُمَا فَٱتَّخَذَ سَبِيلَهُۥ فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ سَرَبًۭا٦١
[18:61] Then when they reached the canal, they both neglected their fish and he found his way into the sea through a hole.
2200 971 3627 1624 - - - - -
فَلَمَّا جَاوَزَا قَالَ لِفَتَىٰهُ ءَاتِنَا غَدَآءَنَا لَقَدْ لَقِينَا مِن سَفَرِنَا هَٰذَا نَصَبًۭا٦٢
[18:62] Then once the two of them reached their objective, he said to his young lad, bring our food, we are indeed exhausted from our journey.
2201 972 3628 1625 - - - - -
قَالَ أَرَءَيْتَ إِذْ أَوَيْنَآ إِلَى ٱلصَّخْرَةِ فَإِنِّى نَسِيتُ ٱلْحُوتَ وَمَآ أَنسَىٰنِيهُ إِلَّا ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ أَنْ أَذْكُرَهُۥ وَٱتَّخَذَ سَبِيلَهُۥ فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ عَجَبًۭا٦٣
[18:63] He said, remember when we were resting by the boulder, then indeed I forgot all about the fish and only Satan was the one who made me forget to pay attention to it. And he found his way to the sea in a strange way.
2202 973 3629 1626 - - - - -
قَالَ ذَٰلِكَ مَا كُنَّا نَبْغِ فَٱرْتَدَّا عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَارِهِمَا قَصَصًۭا٦٤
[18:64] He said, this is what we will do. The two of them traced their way back, in vain.
2203 974 3630 1627 - - - - -
فَوَجَدَا عَبْدًۭا مِّنْ عِبَادِنَآ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُ رَحْمَةًۭ مِّنْ عِندِنَا وَعَلَّمْنَٰهُ مِن لَّدُنَّا عِلْمًۭا٦٥
[18:65] Then the two of them found a servant of Ours, whom We have granted mercy from Us and taught him knowledge from Our special place.
2204 975 3631 1628 - - - - -
قَالَ لَهُۥ مُوسَىٰ هَلْ أَتَّبِعُكَ عَلَىٰٓ أَن تُعَلِّمَنِ مِمَّا عُلِّمْتَ رُشْدًۭا٦٦
[18:66] Moses said to him; may I follow you to learn guidance from the knowledge you have?
2205 976 3632 1629 538 - - 1012 -
قَالَ إِنَّكَ لَن تَسْتَطِيعَ مَعِىَ صَبْرًۭا٦٧
[18:67] He said; you would not be able to be patient with me.
2206 977 3633 1630 - - - - -
وَكَيْفَ تَصْبِرُ عَلَىٰ مَا لَمْ تُحِطْ بِهِۦ خُبْرًۭا٦٨
[18:68] How can you exercise patience with something you are not aware of?
2207 978 3634 1631 - 1047 1599 - 746
قَالَ سَتَجِدُنِىٓ إِن شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ صَابِرًۭا وَلَآ أَعْصِى لَكَ أَمْرًۭا٦٩
[18:69] He said, you will find me God willing patient and I will not disobey any of your instructions.
2208 979 3635 1632 - - - - -
قَالَ فَإِنِ ٱتَّبَعْتَنِى فَلَا تَسْـَٔلْنِى عَن شَىْءٍ حَتَّىٰٓ أُحْدِثَ لَكَ مِنْهُ ذِكْرًۭا٧٠
[18:70] He said, if you follow me then you should not ask any question regarding anything until such time that I reveal its explanation to you.
2209 980 3636 1633 539 - - 1013 -
فَٱنطَلَقَا حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا رَكِبَا فِى ٱلسَّفِينَةِ خَرَقَهَا قَالَ أَخَرَقْتَهَا لِتُغْرِقَ أَهْلَهَا لَقَدْ جِئْتَ شَيْـًٔا إِمْرًۭا٧١
[18:71] The two of them began their journey until they boarded a ship and he bored a hole in her. He said, did you bore a hole in her to drown her passengers? Indeed you are committing a bad deed.
2210 981 3637 1634 - - - - -
قَالَ أَلَمْ أَقُلْ إِنَّكَ لَن تَسْتَطِيعَ مَعِىَ صَبْرًۭا٧٢
[18:72] He said; did I not tell you that you would not be able to be patient with me?
2211 982 3638 1635 540 - - 1014 -
قَالَ لَا تُؤَاخِذْنِى بِمَا نَسِيتُ وَلَا تُرْهِقْنِى مِنْ أَمْرِى عُسْرًۭا٧٣
[18:73] He said; do not take it out on me for my forgetfulness and do not make my task difficult for me.
2212 983 3639 1636 - - - - -
فَٱنطَلَقَا حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا لَقِيَا غُلَٰمًۭا فَقَتَلَهُۥ قَالَ أَقَتَلْتَ نَفْسًۭا زَكِيَّةًۢ بِغَيْرِ نَفْسٍۢ لَّقَدْ جِئْتَ شَيْـًۭٔا نُّكْرًۭا٧٤
[18:74] Then the two of them continued their journey until they met a boy and he killed him. He said; why did you kill such a pure soul, without him killing anyone? You indeed have committed an evil deed.
2213 984 3640 1637 - - - - -
قَالَ أَلَمْ أَقُل لَّكَ إِنَّكَ لَن تَسْتَطِيعَ مَعِىَ صَبْرًۭا٧٥
[18:75] He said; did I not tell you that you would not be able to be patient with me?
2214 985 3641 1638 - - - - -
قَالَ إِن سَأَلْتُكَ عَن شَىْءٍۭ بَعْدَهَا فَلَا تُصَٰحِبْنِى قَدْ بَلَغْتَ مِن لَّدُنِّى عُذْرًۭا٧٦
[18:76] He said; if I ask you anything else after this, do not speak to me, and do not accept any excuse from me.
2215 986 3642 1639 - - - - -
فَٱنطَلَقَا حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَآ أَتَيَآ أَهْلَ قَرْيَةٍ ٱسْتَطْعَمَآ أَهْلَهَا فَأَبَوْا۟ أَن يُضَيِّفُوهُمَا فَوَجَدَا فِيهَا جِدَارًۭا يُرِيدُ أَن يَنقَضَّ فَأَقَامَهُۥ قَالَ لَوْ شِئْتَ لَتَّخَذْتَ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًۭا٧٧
[18:77] Then they moved on, until they came upon a village and the two of them asked for food from its inhabitants, but they refused to feed them, he then found a wall about to collapse and he made it upright. He said, why did you not ask for any wage?
2216 987 3643 1640 - - - - -
قَالَ هَٰذَا فِرَاقُ بَيْنِى وَبَيْنِكَ سَأُنَبِّئُكَ بِتَأْوِيلِ مَا لَمْ تَسْتَطِع عَّلَيْهِ صَبْرًا٧٨
[18:78] He said, now you and I shall part ways and I shall inform you of what you could not wait to find out.
2217 988 3644 1641 541 - - 1015 -
أَمَّا ٱلسَّفِينَةُ فَكَانَتْ لِمَسَٰكِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ فَأَرَدتُّ أَنْ أَعِيبَهَا وَكَانَ وَرَآءَهُم مَّلِكٌۭ يَأْخُذُ كُلَّ سَفِينَةٍ غَصْبًۭا٧٩
[18:79] As for the ship, it belonged to poor people who worked at the sea and I decided to make it defective because a king was coming confiscating all ships forcibly.
2218 989 3645 1642 - - - - -
وَأَمَّا ٱلْغُلَٰمُ فَكَانَ أَبَوَاهُ مُؤْمِنَيْنِ فَخَشِينَآ أَن يُرْهِقَهُمَا طُغْيَٰنًۭا وَكُفْرًۭا٨٠
[18:80] And the boy, his parents were faithful; we feared that he would grow up overwhelming them with rebellion and unfaithfulness.
2219 990 3646 1643 - - - - -
فَأَرَدْنَآ أَن يُبْدِلَهُمَا رَبُّهُمَا خَيْرًۭا مِّنْهُ زَكَوٰةًۭ وَأَقْرَبَ رُحْمًۭا٨١
[18:81] Our decision was based on the fact that their Lord will substitute a purer and kinder one than the one they had.
2220 991 3647 1644 - - - - -
وَأَمَّا ٱلْجِدَارُ فَكَانَ لِغُلَٰمَيْنِ يَتِيمَيْنِ فِى ٱلْمَدِينَةِ وَكَانَ تَحْتَهُۥ كَنزٌۭ لَّهُمَا وَكَانَ أَبُوهُمَا صَٰلِحًۭا فَأَرَادَ رَبُّكَ أَن يَبْلُغَآ أَشُدَّهُمَا وَيَسْتَخْرِجَا كَنزَهُمَا رَحْمَةًۭ مِّن رَّبِّكَ وَمَا فَعَلْتُهُۥ عَنْ أَمْرِى ذَٰلِكَ تَأْوِيلُ مَا لَمْ تَسْطِع عَّلَيْهِ صَبْرًۭا٨٢
[18:82] As for the wall, there were a couple of orphan boys in the city and there was a treasure under the wall for them, and their parents were righteous and my decision was based on the fact that your Lord will allow them to grow to maturity and take the treasure out for themselves as a mercy from your Lord. I did not do any of these on my own. This is the interpretation of what you could not wait to find out.
2221 992 3648 1645 542 - - 1016 -
وَيَسْـَٔلُونَكَ عَن ذِى ٱلْقَرْنَيْنِ قُلْ سَأَتْلُوا۟ عَلَيْكُم مِّنْهُ ذِكْرًا٨٣
[18:83] And they ask you about Dhel-Gharnain. Say, I will recite to you about him as a reminder.
2222 993 3649 1646 - - - - -
إِنَّا مَكَّنَّا لَهُۥ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُ مِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ سَبَبًۭا٨٤
[18:84] We established him on the land and offered him everything at his disposal.
2223 994 3650 1647 - - - - -
فَأَتْبَعَ سَبَبًا٨٥
[18:85] He then pursued another cause.
2224 995 3651 1648 - - - - -
حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا بَلَغَ مَغْرِبَ ٱلشَّمْسِ وَجَدَهَا تَغْرُبُ فِى عَيْنٍ حَمِئَةٍۢ وَوَجَدَ عِندَهَا قَوْمًۭا قُلْنَا يَٰذَا ٱلْقَرْنَيْنِ إِمَّآ أَن تُعَذِّبَ وَإِمَّآ أَن تَتَّخِذَ فِيهِمْ حُسْنًۭا٨٦
[18:86] He went on until he reached the far west and found the sun setting over muddy waters and found a community living there. We said; O Dhel-Gharnain, you could rule as you wish, punish them or be kind to them.
2225 996 3652 1649 - - - - -
قَالَ أَمَّا مَن ظَلَمَ فَسَوْفَ نُعَذِّبُهُۥ ثُمَّ يُرَدُّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ فَيُعَذِّبُهُۥ عَذَابًۭا نُّكْرًۭا٨٧
[18:87] He said, as for the unjust, we will soon make him suffer and he will then go back to his Lord for a more terrible suffering.
2226 997 3653 1650 - - - - -
وَأَمَّا مَنْ ءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَٰلِحًۭا فَلَهُۥ جَزَآءً ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ وَسَنَقُولُ لَهُۥ مِنْ أَمْرِنَا يُسْرًۭا٨٨
[18:88] However, the one who attains faith and leads a righteous life, then he deserves a beautiful reward and we will gently remind him of our commandments.
2227 998 3654 1651 543 - - 1017 -
ثُمَّ أَتْبَعَ سَبَبًا٨٩
[18:89] Then he pursued another cause.
2228 999 3655 1652 - - - - -
حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا بَلَغَ مَطْلِعَ ٱلشَّمْسِ وَجَدَهَا تَطْلُعُ عَلَىٰ قَوْمٍۢ لَّمْ نَجْعَل لَّهُم مِّن دُونِهَا سِتْرًۭا٩٠
[18:90] He went on until he reached the Far East and he found people there and the sun shining on them and they had nothing to protect them from it.
2229 1000 3656 1653 - - - - -
كَذَٰلِكَ وَقَدْ أَحَطْنَا بِمَا لَدَيْهِ خُبْرًۭا٩١
[18:91] We were indeed completely aware of everything he came across.
2230 1001 3657 1654 - - - - -
ثُمَّ أَتْبَعَ سَبَبًا٩٢
[18:92] Then he pursued another cause.
2231 1002 3658 1655 - - - - -
حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا بَلَغَ بَيْنَ ٱلسَّدَّيْنِ وَجَدَ مِن دُونِهِمَا قَوْمًۭا لَّا يَكَادُونَ يَفْقَهُونَ قَوْلًۭا٩٣
[18:93] He went on until he reached a place between the two barriers and found people there between them that he could hardly understand their language.
2232 1003 3659 1656 - - - - -
قَالُوا۟ يَٰذَا ٱلْقَرْنَيْنِ إِنَّ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ مُفْسِدُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَهَلْ نَجْعَلُ لَكَ خَرْجًا عَلَىٰٓ أَن تَجْعَلَ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَهُمْ سَدًّۭا٩٤
[18:94] They said O Dhel-Gharnain, Gog and Magog are spreading corruption throughout the land; therefore, can we pay you to construct a barrier between us and them?
2233 1004 3660 1657 - - - - -
قَالَ مَا مَكَّنِّى فِيهِ رَبِّى خَيْرٌۭ فَأَعِينُونِى بِقُوَّةٍ أَجْعَلْ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَهُمْ رَدْمًا٩٥
[18:95] He said, my Lord has given so much blessing and if you help me with your strength, I will make a dam between you and them.
2234 1005 3661 1658 - - - - -
ءَاتُونِى زُبَرَ ٱلْحَدِيدِ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا سَاوَىٰ بَيْنَ ٱلصَّدَفَيْنِ قَالَ ٱنفُخُوا۟ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَعَلَهُۥ نَارًۭا قَالَ ءَاتُونِىٓ أُفْرِغْ عَلَيْهِ قِطْرًۭا٩٦
[18:96] Bring me pieces of iron until it fills up the space between the two barriers; he said, now blow until it catches fire, and help me pour tar on it.
2235 1006 3662 1659 544 - - 1018 -
فَمَا ٱسْطَٰعُوٓا۟ أَن يَظْهَرُوهُ وَمَا ٱسْتَطَٰعُوا۟ لَهُۥ نَقْبًۭا٩٧
[18:97] Therefore, they could neither climb it nor could they bore a hole into it.
2236 1007 3663 1660 - - - - -
قَالَ هَٰذَا رَحْمَةٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّى فَإِذَا جَآءَ وَعْدُ رَبِّى جَعَلَهُۥ دَكَّآءَ وَكَانَ وَعْدُ رَبِّى حَقًّۭا٩٨
[18:98] He said, this is a mercy from my Lord, therefore when the promise of my Lord comes through, He will destroy it, and the promise of my Lord is always true.

وَتَرَكْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ يَمُوجُ فِى بَعْضٍۢ وَنُفِخَ فِى ٱلصُّورِ فَجَمَعْنَٰهُمْ جَمْعًۭا٩٩
[18:99] And We will let them attack each other in waves and the trumpet sounds, then, We will gather them all.
2238 1009 3665 1662 - - - - -
وَعَرَضْنَا جَهَنَّمَ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلْكَٰفِرِينَ عَرْضًا١٠٠
[18:100] And We present Gehenna to the unfaithful on that day, a full presentation.
2239 1010 3666 1663 545 - - 1019 -
ٱلَّذِينَ كَانَتْ أَعْيُنُهُمْ فِى غِطَآءٍ عَن ذِكْرِى وَكَانُوا۟ لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ سَمْعًا١٠١
[18:101] These are the ones whose eyes were shielded from My reminder and they made no efforts to listen.
2240 1011 3667 1664 - - - - -
أَفَحَسِبَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ أَن يَتَّخِذُوا۟ عِبَادِى مِن دُونِىٓ أَوْلِيَآءَ إِنَّآ أَعْتَدْنَا جَهَنَّمَ لِلْكَٰفِرِينَ نُزُلًۭا١٠٢
[18:102] Do those who have rejected faith reckon that they can take my servants as lords besides Me? We have indeed promised Gehanna as an abode for the unfaithful.
2241 1012 3668 1665 546 - - 1020 -
قُلْ هَلْ نُنَبِّئُكُم بِٱلْأَخْسَرِينَ أَعْمَٰلًا١٠٣
[18:103] Say, shall I inform you regarding the deeds of the worst losers?
2242 1013 3669 1666 - - - - -
ٱلَّذِينَ ضَلَّ سَعْيُهُمْ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَهُمْ يَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُمْ يُحْسِنُونَ صُنْعًا١٠٤
[18:104] These are the ones whose efforts in this worldly life are misguided, and they reckon that they are doing the best job.
2243 1014 3670 1667 - - - - -
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ وَلِقَآئِهِۦ فَحَبِطَتْ أَعْمَٰلُهُمْ فَلَا نُقِيمُ لَهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ وَزْنًۭا١٠٥
[18:105] Those who have disbelieved in their Lord’s proofs and His meeting, consequently all their work are nullified and they will carry no weight on the Day of Resurrection.
2244 1015 3671 1668 - - - - -
ذَٰلِكَ جَزَآؤُهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ بِمَا كَفَرُوا۟ وَٱتَّخَذُوٓا۟ ءَايَٰتِى وَرُسُلِى هُزُوًا١٠٦
[18:106] Their just requital is Gehenna because of their disbelief and because they ridiculed My proofs and My messengers.
2245 1016 3672 1669 547 - - 1021 -
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ كَانَتْ لَهُمْ جَنَّٰتُ ٱلْفِرْدَوْسِ نُزُلًا١٠٧
[18:107] Indeed those who attained faith and led a righteous life, reserved for them are gardens of Paradise as an abode.
2246 1017 3673 1670 - - - - -
خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا لَا يَبْغُونَ عَنْهَا حِوَلًۭا١٠٨
[18:108] They shall abide therein eternally, and they will never get bored therein.
2247 1018 3674 1671 548 - - 1022 -
قُل لَّوْ كَانَ ٱلْبَحْرُ مِدَادًۭا لِّكَلِمَٰتِ رَبِّى لَنَفِدَ ٱلْبَحْرُ قَبْلَ أَن تَنفَدَ كَلِمَٰتُ رَبِّى وَلَوْ جِئْنَا بِمِثْلِهِۦ مَدَدًۭا١٠٩
[18:109] Say, if the sea were ink for my Lord’s words, the sea would run out before the words of my Lord run out, even if you double the ink supply.
2248 1019 3675 1672 - - - - -
قُلْ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ بَشَرٌۭ مِّثْلُكُمْ يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَىَّ أَنَّمَآ إِلَٰهُكُمْ إِلَٰهٌۭ وَٰحِدٌۭ فَمَن كَانَ يَرْجُوا۟ لِقَآءَ رَبِّهِۦ فَلْيَعْمَلْ عَمَلًۭا صَٰلِحًۭا وَلَا يُشْرِكْ بِعِبَادَةِ رَبِّهِۦٓ أَحَدًۢا١١٠
[18:110] Say, I am no more than a human being like you; I have been inspired that indeed your god is one god. Hence, whoever seeks the meeting of his Lord; shall lead a righteous life and never set up any one as a partner in worshiping his Lord.
