بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the name of God, The All Gracious, The All Merciful

[31:1] ALM.
3469 2001 2906 1559 857 - - 801 -
تِلْكَ ءَايَٰتُ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ ٱلْحَكِيمِ٢
[31:2] These are the proofs of the scripture, full of wisdom.
3470 2002 2907 1560 858 - - 802 -
هُدًۭى وَرَحْمَةًۭ لِّلْمُحْسِنِينَ٣
[31:3] Guidance and mercy for the righteous.
3471 2003 2908 1561 - - - - -
ٱلَّذِينَ يُقِيمُونَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَيُؤْتُونَ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَهُم بِٱلْءَاخِرَةِ هُمْ يُوقِنُونَ٤
[31:4] Those who observe the contact prayer and give the cleansing charity and they are absolutely certain about the Hereafter.
3472 2004 2909 1562 859 - - 803 -
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ عَلَىٰ هُدًۭى مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ٥
[31:5] They have guidance from their Lord, and they are the successful ones.
3473 2005 2910 1563 - 1295 1929 - 492
وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يَشْتَرِى لَهْوَ ٱلْحَدِيثِ لِيُضِلَّ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍۢ وَيَتَّخِذَهَا هُزُوًا أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌۭ مُّهِينٌۭ٦
[31:6] And amongst the people are those who buy into useless hadeeth in order to divert from the path of God without knowledge and they make fun of it. Awaiting them is a humiliating suffering.
3474 2006 2911 1564 860 - - 804 -
وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَٰتُنَا وَلَّىٰ مُسْتَكْبِرًۭا كَأَن لَّمْ يَسْمَعْهَا كَأَنَّ فِىٓ أُذُنَيْهِ وَقْرًۭا فَبَشِّرْهُ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ٧
[31:7] And when our signs are recited to them, they turn away arrogantly as though they have not heard it, as though there is deafness in their ears; therefore, inform them of a painful suffering.
3475 2007 2912 1565 - - - - -
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ لَهُمْ جَنَّٰتُ ٱلنَّعِيمِ٨
[31:8] Indeed those who have faith and lead a righteous life, reserved for them are blissful paradises.
3476 2008 2913 1566 - 1296 1930 - 493
خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقًّۭا وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ٩
[31:9] They abide therein forever; God ’s promise is the truth. And He is the Almighty, The All Wise.
3477 2009 2914 1567 - - - - -
خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ بِغَيْرِ عَمَدٍۢ تَرَوْنَهَا وَأَلْقَىٰ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ رَوَٰسِىَ أَن تَمِيدَ بِكُمْ وَبَثَّ فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ دَآبَّةٍۢ وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءًۭ فَأَنۢبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍۢ كَرِيمٍ١٠
[31:10] He has created the skies without visible pillars, and has created stabilizers on the land, lest it would tumble with you and created in it all kinds of creatures. And We send water from the sky then We grow in it a pair of all kinds of fine things.

هَٰذَا خَلْقُ ٱللَّهِ فَأَرُونِى مَاذَا خَلَقَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن دُونِهِۦ بَلِ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍۢ مُّبِينٍۢ١١
[31:11] This is God ’s creation; show me what those besides Him have created? But, the transgressors are in manifest straying.
3479 2011 2916 1569 - 1298 1932, 1933 - 495, 496
وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا لُقْمَٰنَ ٱلْحِكْمَةَ أَنِ ٱشْكُرْ لِلَّهِ وَمَن يَشْكُرْ فَإِنَّمَا يَشْكُرُ لِنَفْسِهِۦ وَمَن كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَنِىٌّ حَمِيدٌۭ١٢
[31:12] And We gave Luqman wisdom, that you shall be grateful to God . And whoever is grateful, his gratefulness benefits himself, and whoever is ungrateful, then God is Rich, Praiseworthy.

وَإِذْ قَالَ لُقْمَٰنُ لِٱبْنِهِۦ وَهُوَ يَعِظُهُۥ يَٰبُنَىَّ لَا تُشْرِكْ بِٱللَّهِ إِنَّ ٱلشِّرْكَ لَظُلْمٌ عَظِيمٌۭ١٣
[31:13] And when Luqman said to his son, as he was enlightening him, O my son do not set up partners for God , for indeed setting up partners for god is a great injustice.
3481 2013 2918 1571 - - - - -
وَوَصَّيْنَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ بِوَٰلِدَيْهِ حَمَلَتْهُ أُمُّهُۥ وَهْنًا عَلَىٰ وَهْنٍۢ وَفِصَٰلُهُۥ فِى عَامَيْنِ أَنِ ٱشْكُرْ لِى وَلِوَٰلِدَيْكَ إِلَىَّ ٱلْمَصِيرُ١٤
[31:14] And We enjoined the human being regarding his parents, for his mother carried him as the load got heavier and nursed him for two years, hence, you shall be appreciative of Me and of your parents for you will finally return to Me.
3482 2014 2919 1572 - - - - -
وَإِن جَٰهَدَاكَ عَلَىٰٓ أَن تُشْرِكَ بِى مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهِۦ عِلْمٌۭ فَلَا تُطِعْهُمَا وَصَاحِبْهُمَا فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا مَعْرُوفًۭا وَٱتَّبِعْ سَبِيلَ مَنْ أَنَابَ إِلَىَّ ثُمَّ إِلَىَّ مَرْجِعُكُمْ فَأُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ١٥
[31:15] And if they try to make you set up partners for Me, which you have no knowledge thereof, do not obey them. However, maintain your amicable treatment of them in this world, and follow the path of those who have repented to Me. Ultimately, to Me is your final destiny and I will inform you of everything you have done.

يَٰبُنَىَّ إِنَّهَآ إِن تَكُ مِثْقَالَ حَبَّةٍۢ مِّنْ خَرْدَلٍۢ فَتَكُن فِى صَخْرَةٍ أَوْ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ أَوْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ يَأْتِ بِهَا ٱللَّهُ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَطِيفٌ خَبِيرٌۭ١٦
[31:16] O my son, indeed even something as small as a mustard seed hidden in a rock, be it in the skies or in the ground, God will bring it out. Surely God is Kind, Cognizant.
3484 2016 2921 1574 863 - - 807 -
يَٰبُنَىَّ أَقِمِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَأْمُرْ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ وَٱنْهَ عَنِ ٱلْمُنكَرِ وَٱصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَآ أَصَابَكَ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ مِنْ عَزْمِ ٱلْأُمُورِ١٧
[31:17] O my son, observe the contact prayer; advocate righteousness and forbid evil and be patient in the face of adversity. Indeed this reflects strength of character.
3485 2017 2922 1575 - 1301 1937 - 500
وَلَا تُصَعِّرْ خَدَّكَ لِلنَّاسِ وَلَا تَمْشِ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مَرَحًا إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ مُخْتَالٍۢ فَخُورٍۢ١٨
[31:18] And do not have a condescending attitude towards people and do not tread the earth arrogantly, for God does not love any arrogant, show off.
3486 2018 2923 1576 864 - - 808 -
وَٱقْصِدْ فِى مَشْيِكَ وَٱغْضُضْ مِن صَوْتِكَ إِنَّ أَنكَرَ ٱلْأَصْوَٰتِ لَصَوْتُ ٱلْحَمِيرِ١٩
[31:19] And follow this way of life and lower your voice. Indeed the ugliest voice is that of a donkey.
3487 2019 2924 1577 - 1302 1938, 1939 - 501, 502
أَلَمْ تَرَوْا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَخَّرَ لَكُم مَّا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَأَسْبَغَ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعَمَهُۥ ظَٰهِرَةًۭ وَبَاطِنَةًۭ وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يُجَٰدِلُ فِى ٱللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍۢ وَلَا هُدًۭى وَلَا كِتَٰبٍۢ مُّنِيرٍۢ٢٠
[31:20] Do you not see that God has put at your disposal everything in the skies and everything on the land and has showered you with His blessings, obvious and hidden? And amongst people are those who argue about God , without knowledge, without guidance and without an enlightening scripture.
3488 2020 2925 1578 - 1303 1940 - 503
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱتَّبِعُوا۟ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ قَالُوا۟ بَلْ نَتَّبِعُ مَا وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهِ ءَابَآءَنَآ أَوَلَوْ كَانَ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ يَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَىٰ عَذَابِ ٱلسَّعِيرِ٢١
[31:21] And when it is said to them; follow what God has revealed, they will say; no, we only follow what we found our parents followed. Even if Satan were to invite them to the agony of Hell.
3489 2021 2926 1579 - 1304 1941, 1942 - 504, 505
وَمَن يُسْلِمْ وَجْهَهُۥٓ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ وَهُوَ مُحْسِنٌۭ فَقَدِ ٱسْتَمْسَكَ بِٱلْعُرْوَةِ ٱلْوُثْقَىٰ وَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلْأُمُورِ٢٢
[31:22] As for the one who focuses all his attention on being at peace with God , while being righteous, he has then taken hold of the strongest bond. And to God all matters will be referred.
3490 2022 2927 1580 865 1305 1943 809 506
وَمَن كَفَرَ فَلَا يَحْزُنكَ كُفْرُهُۥٓ إِلَيْنَا مَرْجِعُهُمْ فَنُنَبِّئُهُم بِمَا عَمِلُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمٌۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ٢٣
[31:23] As for those who have no faith, do not be saddened by their lack of faith. To Us is their final destiny and We will inform them of everything they have done. Indeed God knows full well about the innermost thoughts.
3491 2023 2928 1581 - - - - -
نُمَتِّعُهُمْ قَلِيلًۭا ثُمَّ نَضْطَرُّهُمْ إِلَىٰ عَذَابٍ غَلِيظٍۢ٢٤
[31:24] We let them enjoy a little, then We commit them to a most severe suffering.
3492 2024 2929 1582 - 1306 1944, 1945 - 507, 508
وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُم مَّنْ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ لَيَقُولُنَّ ٱللَّهُ قُلِ ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ٢٥
[31:25] And if you ask them who created the skies and the land, they will definitely say, God . Say, praise God . However, most of them do not comprehend.
3493 2025 2930 1583 - 1307 1946, 1947 - 509, 510
لِلَّهِ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلْغَنِىُّ ٱلْحَمِيدُ٢٦
[31:26] To God belongs everything in the skies and the land. Indeed God is Rich, Praiseworthy.
3494 2026 2931 1584 - 1308 1948, 1949 - 511, 512
وَلَوْ أَنَّمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مِن شَجَرَةٍ أَقْلَٰمٌۭ وَٱلْبَحْرُ يَمُدُّهُۥ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ سَبْعَةُ أَبْحُرٍۢ مَّا نَفِدَتْ كَلِمَٰتُ ٱللَّهِ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌۭ٢٧
[31:27] And if all the trees on the land were pens and the sea was ink, augmented by seven more seas on top of it, God ’s words would not run out. Indeed God is Almighty, All Wise.
3495 2027 2932 1585 - 1309 1950 - 513
مَّا خَلْقُكُمْ وَلَا بَعْثُكُمْ إِلَّا كَنَفْسٍۢ وَٰحِدَةٍ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَمِيعٌۢ بَصِيرٌ٢٨
[31:28] Your creation and your resurrection are just like that of a single soul. Indeed God is All Hearing, All Seeing.
3496 2028 2933 1586 866 1310 1951, 1952 810 514, 515
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُولِجُ ٱلَّيْلَ فِى ٱلنَّهَارِ وَيُولِجُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فِى ٱلَّيْلِ وَسَخَّرَ ٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ كُلٌّۭ يَجْرِىٓ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍۢ مُّسَمًّۭى وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرٌۭ٢٩
[31:29] Do you not see that God merges the night into the day and merges the day into the night and has put in your service the Sun and the Moon, each floating for a specific interim? And God is cognizant of everything you do.
3497 2029 2934 1587 - 1311 1953, 1954 - 516, 517
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلْحَقُّ وَأَنَّ مَا يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِ ٱلْبَٰطِلُ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلْعَلِىُّ ٱلْكَبِيرُ٣٠
[31:30] This is because indeed God is the truth and certainly those whom they call upon besides Him are falsehood and that God is The Exalted, The All Magnificent.
3498 2030 2935 1588 867 1312 1955 811 518
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱلْفُلْكَ تَجْرِى فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ بِنِعْمَتِ ٱللَّهِ لِيُرِيَكُم مِّنْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦٓ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍۢ لِّكُلِّ صَبَّارٍۢ شَكُورٍۢ٣١
[31:31] Do you not see that the ship floats in the sea as a blessing from God in order to show you some of His signs? Indeed, in this there are signs for people who are steadfast, appreciative.
3499 2031 2936 1589 - 1313 1956 - 519
وَإِذَا غَشِيَهُم مَّوْجٌۭ كَٱلظُّلَلِ دَعَوُا۟ ٱللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَ فَلَمَّا نَجَّىٰهُمْ إِلَى ٱلْبَرِّ فَمِنْهُم مُّقْتَصِدٌۭ وَمَا يَجْحَدُ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ إِلَّا كُلُّ خَتَّارٍۢ كَفُورٍۢ٣٢
[31:32] And when the wave covers them like a shadow, they call upon God devoting the religion purely to Him, but when We rescue them to the shore, some of them revert. And no one argues about Our signs except those who are betrayers, unappreciative.
3500 2032 2937 1590 - 1314 1957, 1958 - 520, 521
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ ٱتَّقُوا۟ رَبَّكُمْ وَٱخْشَوْا۟ يَوْمًۭا لَّا يَجْزِى وَالِدٌ عَن وَلَدِهِۦ وَلَا مَوْلُودٌ هُوَ جَازٍ عَن وَالِدِهِۦ شَيْـًٔا إِنَّ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقٌّۭ فَلَا تَغُرَّنَّكُمُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَلَا يَغُرَّنَّكُم بِٱللَّهِ ٱلْغَرُورُ٣٣
[31:33] O you people, fear your Lord, and fear the day when no father can help his child and no child can help his father in the least. Indeed God ’s promise is the truth. Therefore, do not be deceived by this worldly life and do not be deceived away from God by an illusion.
3501 2033 2938 1591 - 1315 1959, 1960 - 522, 523
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عِندَهُۥ عِلْمُ ٱلسَّاعَةِ وَيُنَزِّلُ ٱلْغَيْثَ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا فِى ٱلْأَرْحَامِ وَمَا تَدْرِى نَفْسٌۭ مَّاذَا تَكْسِبُ غَدًۭا وَمَا تَدْرِى نَفْسٌۢ بِأَىِّ أَرْضٍۢ تَمُوتُ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ خَبِيرٌۢ٣٤
[31:34] Indeed with God is the knowledge of the Hour and He sends down the rain and He knows the content of the wombs, and no soul knows what happens to her tomorrow, and no soul knows in what land she will die. Indeed God is All Knowing, Cognizant.
