بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the name of God, The All Gracious, The All Merciful

[40:1] HaMeem

تَنزِيلُ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْعَلِيمِ٢
[40:2] The revelation of the scripture is from God , The Almighty, The All Knowing.
4134 2237 3070 1594 1039 - - 850 -
غَافِرِ ٱلذَّنۢبِ وَقَابِلِ ٱلتَّوْبِ شَدِيدِ ٱلْعِقَابِ ذِى ٱلطَّوْلِ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ إِلَيْهِ ٱلْمَصِيرُ٣
[40:3] Forgiver of sin, Acceptor of repentance, Enforcer of the ultimate punishment, Possessor of might, there is no god except He. To Him is the final destiny.

مَا يُجَٰدِلُ فِىٓ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ فَلَا يَغْرُرْكَ تَقَلُّبُهُمْ فِى ٱلْبِلَٰدِ٤
[40:4] No one disputes God ’s signs except the unfaithful; therefore, do not be deceived by their apparent success in the society.

كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍۢ وَٱلْأَحْزَابُ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ وَهَمَّتْ كُلُّ أُمَّةٍۭ بِرَسُولِهِمْ لِيَأْخُذُوهُ وَجَٰدَلُوا۟ بِٱلْبَٰطِلِ لِيُدْحِضُوا۟ بِهِ ٱلْحَقَّ فَأَخَذْتُهُمْ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عِقَابِ٥
[40:5] Rejecting before them were the people of Noah and the parties after them. Each community did their best to persecute their messenger, and they argued with falsehood to defeat the truth, but I punished them, how terrible was the consequence.

وَكَذَٰلِكَ حَقَّتْ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ أَنَّهُمْ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلنَّارِ٦
[40:6] And the word of your Lord thus came true for the unfaithful; they are indeed the dwellers of Hell.
4138 2241 3074 1598 1041 - - 852 -
ٱلَّذِينَ يَحْمِلُونَ ٱلْعَرْشَ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهُۥ يُسَبِّحُونَ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْ وَيُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِۦ وَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ رَبَّنَا وَسِعْتَ كُلَّ شَىْءٍۢ رَّحْمَةًۭ وَعِلْمًۭا فَٱغْفِرْ لِلَّذِينَ تَابُوا۟ وَٱتَّبَعُوا۟ سَبِيلَكَ وَقِهِمْ عَذَابَ ٱلْجَحِيمِ٧
[40:7] Those who carry the throne and those around it glorify and praise their Lord and believe in Him, and they ask forgiveness for the faithful; our Lord, Your mercy and knowledge encompasses all things, therefore, forgive those who have repented and followed your path and spare them the suffering of the Inferno.

رَبَّنَا وَأَدْخِلْهُمْ جَنَّٰتِ عَدْنٍ ٱلَّتِى وَعَدتَّهُمْ وَمَن صَلَحَ مِنْ ءَابَآئِهِمْ وَأَزْوَٰجِهِمْ وَذُرِّيَّٰتِهِمْ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ٨
[40:8] Our Lord, and admit them into Gardens of Eden that you have promised them and also the righteous amongst their parents, their spouses, and their children. Indeed You are The Almighty, The All Wise.

وَقِهِمُ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ وَمَن تَقِ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ فَقَدْ رَحِمْتَهُۥ وَذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ٩
[40:9] And spare them the ills. And whoever escapes the ills of that day; has indeed attained His mercy. And this is the great victory.
4141 2244 3077 1601 - 1467 2178 - 593
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ يُنَادَوْنَ لَمَقْتُ ٱللَّهِ أَكْبَرُ مِن مَّقْتِكُمْ أَنفُسَكُمْ إِذْ تُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى ٱلْإِيمَٰنِ فَتَكْفُرُونَ١٠
[40:10] Indeed the unfaithful are told that indeed God ’s abhorrence towards you is greater than your abhorrence towards yourselves, because you were invited to the faith but you chose to reject it.
4142 2245 3078 1602 1042 - - 853 -
قَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَآ أَمَتَّنَا ٱثْنَتَيْنِ وَأَحْيَيْتَنَا ٱثْنَتَيْنِ فَٱعْتَرَفْنَا بِذُنُوبِنَا فَهَلْ إِلَىٰ خُرُوجٍۢ مِّن سَبِيلٍۢ١١
[40:11] They say, our Lord, You have given us two deaths and two lives, we now confess our sins, is there any way out?
4143 2246 3079 1603 - 1468 2179, 2180 - 594, 595
ذَٰلِكُم بِأَنَّهُۥٓ إِذَا دُعِىَ ٱللَّهُ وَحْدَهُۥ كَفَرْتُمْ وَإِن يُشْرَكْ بِهِۦ تُؤْمِنُوا۟ فَٱلْحُكْمُ لِلَّهِ ٱلْعَلِىِّ ٱلْكَبِيرِ١٢
[40:12] This is because when God alone was called upon, you disbelieved, and when a partner was set up besides Him, you believed. Therefore, judgment belongs to God , The Exalted, The All Magnificent.
4144 2247 3080 1604 1043 - - 854 -
هُوَ ٱلَّذِى يُرِيكُمْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ وَيُنَزِّلُ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ رِزْقًۭا وَمَا يَتَذَكَّرُ إِلَّا مَن يُنِيبُ١٣
[40:13] He is the One who shows you His signs and sends down for you provisions from the sky. And no one takes heed except the penitent.
4145 2248 3081 1605 - 1469 2181 - 596
فَٱدْعُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ١٤
[40:14] You shall therefore call upon God , devoting the religion purely to Him, although the unfaithful dislike it.

رَفِيعُ ٱلدَّرَجَٰتِ ذُو ٱلْعَرْشِ يُلْقِى ٱلرُّوحَ مِنْ أَمْرِهِۦ عَلَىٰ مَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦ لِيُنذِرَ يَوْمَ ٱلتَّلَاقِ١٥
[40:15] The Possessor of The Highest ranks, Possessor of the throne, He sends The Spirit by His command to whomever He wills from amongst His servants to warn about The Day of the Gathering.
4147 2250 3083 1607 - 1470 2182, 2183 - 597, 598
يَوْمَ هُم بَٰرِزُونَ لَا يَخْفَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ مِنْهُمْ شَىْءٌۭ لِّمَنِ ٱلْمُلْكُ ٱلْيَوْمَ لِلَّهِ ٱلْوَٰحِدِ ٱلْقَهَّارِ١٦
[40:16] The day they will be completely transparent, nothing will be hidden from God in the least. To whom belong all kingships on that day? To God , The One, The Supreme.
4148 2251 3084 1608 1044 1471 2184 855 599
ٱلْيَوْمَ تُجْزَىٰ كُلُّ نَفْسٍۭ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ لَا ظُلْمَ ٱلْيَوْمَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَرِيعُ ٱلْحِسَابِ١٧
[40:17] The day every soul will be requited according to what she earned. No one will suffer any injustice on that day. Indeed God is quick in reckoning.
4149 2252 3085 1609 - - - - -
وَأَنذِرْهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْءَازِفَةِ إِذِ ٱلْقُلُوبُ لَدَى ٱلْحَنَاجِرِ كَٰظِمِينَ مَا لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ مِنْ حَمِيمٍۢ وَلَا شَفِيعٍۢ يُطَاعُ١٨
[40:18] And warn them of the day when the terrified hearts will reach their throats, full of remorse. The transgressors will have no friends and no intercessor will be obeyed.

يَعْلَمُ خَآئِنَةَ ٱلْأَعْيُنِ وَمَا تُخْفِى ٱلصُّدُورُ١٩
[40:19] He knows what is hidden from the eyes and what is hidden in the chests.
4151 2254 3087 1611 - 1472 2185, 2186 - 600, 601
وَٱللَّهُ يَقْضِى بِٱلْحَقِّ وَٱلَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِۦ لَا يَقْضُونَ بِشَىْءٍ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْبَصِيرُ٢٠
[40:20] And God judges according to the truth, while those whom they call besides Him do not judge a thing. Indeed God is The All Hearer, The All Seer.
4152 2255 3088 1612 - 1473 2187, 2188 - 602, 603
أَوَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا۟ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَانُوا۟ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ كَانُوا۟ هُمْ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةًۭ وَءَاثَارًۭا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَمَا كَانَ لَهُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ مِن وَاقٍۢ٢١
[40:21] Do they not travel throughout the land and see the consequences for those before them? They were more powerful and left a more impressive legacy on the land, then God punished them because of their sins and there was no protection for them from God .
4153 2256 3089 1613 - 1474 2189 - 604
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَانَت تَّأْتِيهِمْ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ فَكَفَرُوا۟ فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ إِنَّهُۥ قَوِىٌّۭ شَدِيدُ ٱلْعِقَابِ٢٢
[40:22] This is because when indeed their messengers went to them with proofs, they rejected faith, consequently, God punished them. Indeed He is All Powerful, strict in enforcing punishment.
4154 2257 3090 1614 1046 - - 857 -
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مُوسَىٰ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا وَسُلْطَٰنٍۢ مُّبِينٍ٢٣
[40:23] Similarly, We sent Moses with Our signs and a manifest authority-
4155 2258 3091 1615 - - - - -
إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَهَٰمَٰنَ وَقَٰرُونَ فَقَالُوا۟ سَٰحِرٌۭ كَذَّابٌۭ٢٤
[40:24] -to Pharaoh, Hamaan, and Qaroon, but they said he is a lying magician.

فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُم بِٱلْحَقِّ مِنْ عِندِنَا قَالُوا۟ ٱقْتُلُوٓا۟ أَبْنَآءَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مَعَهُۥ وَٱسْتَحْيُوا۟ نِسَآءَهُمْ وَمَا كَيْدُ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ إِلَّا فِى ضَلَٰلٍۢ٢٥
[40:25] When he came to them with the truth from Us, they said, kill the sons of those who believed with him and bring shame to their women. The scheming of the unfaithful is always misguided.
4157 2260 3093 1617 - - - - -
وَقَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ ذَرُونِىٓ أَقْتُلْ مُوسَىٰ وَلْيَدْعُ رَبَّهُۥٓ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ أَن يُبَدِّلَ دِينَكُمْ أَوْ أَن يُظْهِرَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ٱلْفَسَادَ٢٦
[40:26] And Pharaoh said, let me kill Moses and let him call upon his Lord. I am indeed afraid he may change your religion or spread corruption throughout the land.
4158 2261 3094 1618 - - - - -
وَقَالَ مُوسَىٰٓ إِنِّى عُذْتُ بِرَبِّى وَرَبِّكُم مِّن كُلِّ مُتَكَبِّرٍۢ لَّا يُؤْمِنُ بِيَوْمِ ٱلْحِسَابِ٢٧
[40:27] And Moses said, I surely seek refuge in my Lord and your Lord from all those who are arrogant and do not believe in the Day of Reckoning.
4159 2262 3095 1619 - 1475 2190, 2191 - 605, 606
وَقَالَ رَجُلٌۭ مُّؤْمِنٌۭ مِّنْ ءَالِ فِرْعَوْنَ يَكْتُمُ إِيمَٰنَهُۥٓ أَتَقْتُلُونَ رَجُلًا أَن يَقُولَ رَبِّىَ ٱللَّهُ وَقَدْ جَآءَكُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ مِن رَّبِّكُمْ وَإِن يَكُ كَٰذِبًۭا فَعَلَيْهِ كَذِبُهُۥ وَإِن يَكُ صَادِقًۭا يُصِبْكُم بَعْضُ ٱلَّذِى يَعِدُكُمْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِى مَنْ هُوَ مُسْرِفٌۭ كَذَّابٌۭ٢٨
[40:28] And a faithful man from the people of Pharaoh who was concealing his faith said, are you going to kill a man for saying that my Lord is God when he has brought you proofs from your Lord? If he is a liar, he will suffer because of his lie and if he is truthful then you benefit from some of the promises to you. Indeed God does not guide those who are transgressing, liars.

يَٰقَوْمِ لَكُمُ ٱلْمُلْكُ ٱلْيَوْمَ ظَٰهِرِينَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَمَن يَنصُرُنَا مِنۢ بَأْسِ ٱللَّهِ إِن جَآءَنَا قَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ مَآ أُرِيكُمْ إِلَّا مَآ أَرَىٰ وَمَآ أَهْدِيكُمْ إِلَّا سَبِيلَ ٱلرَّشَادِ٢٩
[40:29] O my people, today you obviously have the kingship on the land, then who is going to help us from God ’s Might if it comes our way? Pharaoh responded, “you should only see it my way”; I only guide you to the right path.
4161 2264 3097 1621 - - - - -
وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِىٓ ءَامَنَ يَٰقَوْمِ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُم مِّثْلَ يَوْمِ ٱلْأَحْزَابِ٣٠
[40:30] And the one who had faith said, O my people, I indeed fear for you the same fate of the other parties.

مِثْلَ دَأْبِ قَوْمِ نُوحٍۢ وَعَادٍۢ وَثَمُودَ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ وَمَا ٱللَّهُ يُرِيدُ ظُلْمًۭا لِّلْعِبَادِ٣١
[40:31] The same as the people of Noah, Aad and Thamoud and those after them. God never wishes any injustice upon His servants.
4163 2266 3099 1623 - - - - -
وَيَٰقَوْمِ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلتَّنَادِ٣٢
[40:32] And O my people, I fear for you the Day of Summoning.
4164 2267 3100 1624 - 1478 2194, 2195 - 609, 610
يَوْمَ تُوَلُّونَ مُدْبِرِينَ مَا لَكُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ مِنْ عَاصِمٍۢ وَمَن يُضْلِلِ ٱللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُۥ مِنْ هَادٍۢ٣٣
[40:33] That is the day when you would like to turn around and flee, but no one can protect you from God . And whomever God sends astray will never find a guide.
4165 2268 3101 1625 - 1479 2196, 2197 - 611, 612
وَلَقَدْ جَآءَكُمْ يُوسُفُ مِن قَبْلُ بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ فَمَا زِلْتُمْ فِى شَكٍّۢ مِّمَّا جَآءَكُم بِهِۦ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا هَلَكَ قُلْتُمْ لَن يَبْعَثَ ٱللَّهُ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ رَسُولًۭا كَذَٰلِكَ يُضِلُّ ٱللَّهُ مَنْ هُوَ مُسْرِفٌۭ مُّرْتَابٌ٣٤
[40:34] And Joseph came to you previously with proofs but you were full of doubts concerning what he came with, until he died, then you said, God will never appoint another messenger after him. God thus sends astray those who are transgressing, doubtful.

ٱلَّذِينَ يُجَٰدِلُونَ فِىٓ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ سُلْطَٰنٍ أَتَىٰهُمْ كَبُرَ مَقْتًا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَعِندَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ كَذَٰلِكَ يَطْبَعُ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ قَلْبِ مُتَكَبِّرٍۢ جَبَّارٍۢ٣٥
[40:35] Those who argue about God ’s signs without proof, they only earn abhorrence in the sight of God as well as in the sight of the faithful. God thus seals the heart of every arrogant, tyrant.

وَقَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ يَٰهَٰمَٰنُ ٱبْنِ لِى صَرْحًۭا لَّعَلِّىٓ أَبْلُغُ ٱلْأَسْبَٰبَ٣٦
[40:36] Pharaoh said, O Hamaan, build me an edifice, that I may obtain the means-
4168 2271 3104 1628 1049 - - 860 -
أَسْبَٰبَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ فَأَطَّلِعَ إِلَىٰٓ إِلَٰهِ مُوسَىٰ وَإِنِّى لَأَظُنُّهُۥ كَٰذِبًۭا وَكَذَٰلِكَ زُيِّنَ لِفِرْعَوْنَ سُوٓءُ عَمَلِهِۦ وَصُدَّ عَنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ وَمَا كَيْدُ فِرْعَوْنَ إِلَّا فِى تَبَابٍۢ٣٧
[40:37] -the means to reach the skies that I may look upon the god of Moses. I think he is a liar. Pharaoh’s evil work was thus adorned for him; he was repelled from the path. And Pharaoh’s schemes were always in vain.
4169 2272 3105 1629 - - - - -
وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِىٓ ءَامَنَ يَٰقَوْمِ ٱتَّبِعُونِ أَهْدِكُمْ سَبِيلَ ٱلرَّشَادِ٣٨
[40:38] The one who had faith said, O my people follow me, and I will guide you to the right path.
4170 2273 3106 1630 - - - - -
يَٰقَوْمِ إِنَّمَا هَٰذِهِ ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَا مَتَٰعٌۭ وَإِنَّ ٱلْءَاخِرَةَ هِىَ دَارُ ٱلْقَرَارِ٣٩
[40:39] O my people, this worldly life is only a temporary provision and indeed the Hereafter is the eternal abode.
4171 2274 3107 1631 - - - - -
مَنْ عَمِلَ سَيِّئَةًۭ فَلَا يُجْزَىٰٓ إِلَّا مِثْلَهَا وَمَنْ عَمِلَ صَٰلِحًۭا مِّن ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنثَىٰ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌۭ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ يَدْخُلُونَ ٱلْجَنَّةَ يُرْزَقُونَ فِيهَا بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍۢ٤٠
[40:40] Those who have worked evil will not be requited except for the exact amount. As for those who have led a righteous life, be it male or female, while remaining faithful, then they enter Paradise, wherein they will be provided for without limits.
4172 2275 3108 1632 1050 - - 861 -
وَيَٰقَوْمِ مَا لِىٓ أَدْعُوكُمْ إِلَى ٱلنَّجَوٰةِ وَتَدْعُونَنِىٓ إِلَى ٱلنَّارِ٤١
[40:41] And O my people, here I am inviting you to be saved, while you are inviting me to Hell.
4173 2276 3109 1633 - 1481 2201 - 616
تَدْعُونَنِى لِأَكْفُرَ بِٱللَّهِ وَأُشْرِكَ بِهِۦ مَا لَيْسَ لِى بِهِۦ عِلْمٌۭ وَأَنَا۠ أَدْعُوكُمْ إِلَى ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْغَفَّٰرِ٤٢
[40:42] You are inviting me to reject faith in God and to set up partners for Him, while I have no knowledge thereof, and I am inviting you to The Almighty, The All Forgiver.

لَا جَرَمَ أَنَّمَا تَدْعُونَنِىٓ إِلَيْهِ لَيْسَ لَهُۥ دَعْوَةٌۭ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا وَلَا فِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ وَأَنَّ مَرَدَّنَآ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ وَأَنَّ ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ هُمْ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلنَّارِ٤٣
[40:43] Without a doubt, You are indeed inviting me to what is not worthy of calling upon in this world as well as in the Hereafter. While our return will be to God and indeed the transgressors will be the dwellers of Hell.
4175 2278 3111 1635 - 1483 2203, 2204 - 618, 619
فَسَتَذْكُرُونَ مَآ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ وَأُفَوِّضُ أَمْرِىٓ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بَصِيرٌۢ بِٱلْعِبَادِ٤٤
[40:44] You will soon remember what I am telling you, and I leave my deed to God . Indeed, God is Seer of His servants.

فَوَقَىٰهُ ٱللَّهُ سَيِّـَٔاتِ مَا مَكَرُوا۟ وَحَاقَ بِـَٔالِ فِرْعَوْنَ سُوٓءُ ٱلْعَذَابِ٤٥
[40:45] Therefore God saved him from their evil schemes, while the people of Pharaoh have deserved the worst suffering.

ٱلنَّارُ يُعْرَضُونَ عَلَيْهَا غُدُوًّۭا وَعَشِيًّۭا وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ أَدْخِلُوٓا۟ ءَالَ فِرْعَوْنَ أَشَدَّ ٱلْعَذَابِ٤٦
[40:46] Hell will be shown to them day and night and the day the hour is struck, let the people of Pharaoh endure the ultimate suffering.

وَإِذْ يَتَحَآجُّونَ فِى ٱلنَّارِ فَيَقُولُ ٱلضُّعَفَٰٓؤُا۟ لِلَّذِينَ ٱسْتَكْبَرُوٓا۟ إِنَّا كُنَّا لَكُمْ تَبَعًۭا فَهَلْ أَنتُم مُّغْنُونَ عَنَّا نَصِيبًۭا مِّنَ ٱلنَّارِ٤٧
[40:47] As they argue in Hell, the followers say to the arrogant leaders, we indeed used to obey you; therefore, can you relieve from us any part of Hell?

قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسْتَكْبَرُوٓا۟ إِنَّا كُلٌّۭ فِيهَآ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ قَدْ حَكَمَ بَيْنَ ٱلْعِبَادِ٤٨
[40:48] The arrogant leaders say, we are all indeed in it together, God has surely judged amongst His servants.
4180 2283 3116 1640 - - - - -
وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ فِى ٱلنَّارِ لِخَزَنَةِ جَهَنَّمَ ٱدْعُوا۟ رَبَّكُمْ يُخَفِّفْ عَنَّا يَوْمًۭا مِّنَ ٱلْعَذَابِ٤٩
[40:49] Those in Hell say to the guardians of Gehenna; call upon your Lord to reduce the suffering for us just by a day.
4181 2284 3117 1641 - - - - -
قَالُوٓا۟ أَوَلَمْ تَكُ تَأْتِيكُمْ رُسُلُكُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ قَالُوا۟ بَلَىٰ قَالُوا۟ فَٱدْعُوا۟ وَمَا دُعَٰٓؤُا۟ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ إِلَّا فِى ضَلَٰلٍ٥٠
[40:50] They say, did you not receive messengers with proofs? They will say, yes. They will then say, go ahead and call, the calling of the unfaithful is in vain.

إِنَّا لَنَنصُرُ رُسُلَنَا وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَيَوْمَ يَقُومُ ٱلْأَشْهَٰدُ٥١
[40:51] We will most assuredly give victory to Our messengers and those who attained faith in this worldly life and on the day when the witnesses are brought forth.
4183 2286 3119 1643 - - - - -
يَوْمَ لَا يَنفَعُ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ مَعْذِرَتُهُمْ وَلَهُمُ ٱللَّعْنَةُ وَلَهُمْ سُوٓءُ ٱلدَّارِ٥٢
[40:52] That is the Day when the apology of the unjust will not benefit them and they have deserved damnation and reserved for them is the worst abode.
4184 2287 3120 1644 1053 - - 864 -
وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا مُوسَى ٱلْهُدَىٰ وَأَوْرَثْنَا بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ٥٣
[40:53] And We indeed gave Moses the guidance, and We let the Children of Israel inherit the scripture.

هُدًۭى وَذِكْرَىٰ لِأُو۟لِى ٱلْأَلْبَٰبِ٥٤
[40:54] A Guide and a reminder to those who possess vision.
4186 2289 3122 1646 - 1486 2207 - 622
فَٱصْبِرْ إِنَّ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقٌّۭ وَٱسْتَغْفِرْ لِذَنۢبِكَ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ بِٱلْعَشِىِّ وَٱلْإِبْكَٰرِ٥٥
[40:55] You shall therefore wait for indeed God's promise is the truth and you shall ask forgiveness for your sins and glorify and praise your Lord night and day.
4187 2290 3123 1647 - 1487 2208, 2209 - 623, 624
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يُجَٰدِلُونَ فِىٓ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ سُلْطَٰنٍ أَتَىٰهُمْ إِن فِى صُدُورِهِمْ إِلَّا كِبْرٌۭ مَّا هُم بِبَٰلِغِيهِ فَٱسْتَعِذْ بِٱللَّهِ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْبَصِيرُ٥٦
[40:56] Those who argue about God's signs without any proof have nothing in their chest except arrogance that they are not even aware of it. You shall therefore seek refuge in God. Indeed He is the All Hearer, the All Seer.

لَخَلْقُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ أَكْبَرُ مِنْ خَلْقِ ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ٥٧
[40:57] Indeed the creation of the skies and the land is greater than the creation of the human being, but most people do not realize it.
4189 2292 3125 1649 - - - - -
وَمَا يَسْتَوِى ٱلْأَعْمَىٰ وَٱلْبَصِيرُ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ وَلَا ٱلْمُسِىٓءُ قَلِيلًۭا مَّا تَتَذَكَّرُونَ٥٨
[40:58] And the blind and the seer are not equal, nor are those who attained faith and lead a righteous life and the evildoers. Only a few take heed.
4190 2293 3126 1650 1054 - - 865 -
إِنَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ لَءَاتِيَةٌۭ لَّا رَيْبَ فِيهَا وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ٥٩
[40:59] The Hour is surely coming, there is no doubt about it; however, most people do not believe.
4191 2294 3127 1651 - - - - -
وَقَالَ رَبُّكُمُ ٱدْعُونِىٓ أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِى سَيَدْخُلُونَ جَهَنَّمَ دَاخِرِينَ٦٠
[40:60] And your Lord said, call upon Me, I will respond to you. Indeed those who are too arrogant to worship Me will enter Gehenna forcibly.
4192 2295 3128 1652 1055 1488 2210, 2211 866 625, 626
ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلَّيْلَ لِتَسْكُنُوا۟ فِيهِ وَٱلنَّهَارَ مُبْصِرًا إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَشْكُرُونَ٦١
[40:61] God is the One who made the night for you to rest therein, and the day bright. Indeed God possesses generosity for the people but most people are not appreciative.
4193 2296 3129 1653 - 1489 2212 - 627
ذَٰلِكُمُ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ خَٰلِقُ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ لَّآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ فَأَنَّىٰ تُؤْفَكُونَ٦٢
[40:62] Such is God , your Lord, creator of all things, there is no god except He, how can you then deviate?
4194 2297 3130 1654 - 1490 2213 - 628
كَذَٰلِكَ يُؤْفَكُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَانُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ يَجْحَدُونَ٦٣
[40:63] Thus deviated those who argued about God's signs.
4195 2298 3131 1655 - 1491 2214, 2215, 2216 - 629, 630, 631
ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلْأَرْضَ قَرَارًۭا وَٱلسَّمَآءَ بِنَآءًۭ وَصَوَّرَكُمْ فَأَحْسَنَ صُوَرَكُمْ وَرَزَقَكُم مِّنَ ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِ ذَٰلِكُمُ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ فَتَبَارَكَ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ٦٤
[40:64] God is the One who made the land habitable for you, and the sky a structure, and He designed you and made it the most beautiful design, and He provided for you from the clean things. Such is God , your Lord, therefore, glory to God , Lord of the multiverse.

هُوَ ٱلْحَىُّ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ فَٱدْعُوهُ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَ ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ٦٥
[40:65] He is the Living, there is no god except He, therefore call upon Him, devoting the religion purely to Him. Praise God , Lord of the multiverse.
4197 2300 3133 1657 - 1493 2218 - 633
قُلْ إِنِّى نُهِيتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَ ٱلَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ لَمَّا جَآءَنِىَ ٱلْبَيِّنَٰتُ مِن رَّبِّى وَأُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُسْلِمَ لِرَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ٦٦
[40:66] Say, I have indeed been enjoined from worshiping those whom you call upon besides God once I received proofs from my Lord. And I was enjoined to enter in peace with the Lord of the multiverse.

هُوَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُم مِّن تُرَابٍۢ ثُمَّ مِن نُّطْفَةٍۢ ثُمَّ مِنْ عَلَقَةٍۢ ثُمَّ يُخْرِجُكُمْ طِفْلًۭا ثُمَّ لِتَبْلُغُوٓا۟ أَشُدَّكُمْ ثُمَّ لِتَكُونُوا۟ شُيُوخًۭا وَمِنكُم مَّن يُتَوَفَّىٰ مِن قَبْلُ وَلِتَبْلُغُوٓا۟ أَجَلًۭا مُّسَمًّۭى وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ٦٧
[40:67] He is the One who created you from dust then from semen, then from a hanging, then He brings you out as an infant, then you reach maturity, then you get old. While some of you die before that, some reach a specific interim that you may use your intelligence.
4199 2302 3135 1659 - - - - -
هُوَ ٱلَّذِى يُحْىِۦ وَيُمِيتُ فَإِذَا قَضَىٰٓ أَمْرًۭا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُۥ كُن فَيَكُونُ٦٨
[40:68] He is the One who grants life and death; as a consequence once He wills to fulfill any task, then, He only says to it, "Be", and it is.
4200 2303 3136 1660 - 1494 2219 - 634
أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ يُجَٰدِلُونَ فِىٓ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ أَنَّىٰ يُصْرَفُونَ٦٩
[40:69] Do you not see those who dispute regarding God's signs have totally deviated?
4201 2304 3137 1661 - - - - -
ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِٱلْكِتَٰبِ وَبِمَآ أَرْسَلْنَا بِهِۦ رُسُلَنَا فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ٧٠
[40:70] Those who reject the scripture and the message that We sent our messengers with, they will soon find out-
4202 2305 3138 1662 1057 - - 868 -
إِذِ ٱلْأَغْلَٰلُ فِىٓ أَعْنَٰقِهِمْ وَٱلسَّلَٰسِلُ يُسْحَبُونَ٧١
[40:71] -once shackles are placed around their necks as well as chains with which they are dragged-
4203 2306 3139 1663 - - - - -
فِى ٱلْحَمِيمِ ثُمَّ فِى ٱلنَّارِ يُسْجَرُونَ٧٢
[40:72] -into the Inferno, then they will be burned in Hell.
4204 2307 3140 1664 1058 - - 869 -
ثُمَّ قِيلَ لَهُمْ أَيْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تُشْرِكُونَ٧٣
[40:73] Then, they will be asked; where are those partners whom you set up-
4205 2308 3141 1665 - 1495 2220, 2221 - 635, 636
مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ قَالُوا۟ ضَلُّوا۟ عَنَّا بَل لَّمْ نَكُن نَّدْعُوا۟ مِن قَبْلُ شَيْـًۭٔا كَذَٰلِكَ يُضِلُّ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ٧٤
[40:74] -besides God ? They will say, they have abandoned us as though we never called upon them for anything. God thus sends the unfaithful astray.
4206 2309 3142 1666 - - - - -
ذَٰلِكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَفْرَحُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ ٱلْحَقِّ وَبِمَا كُنتُمْ تَمْرَحُونَ٧٥
[40:75] That is because you rejoiced on the land with other than the truth, and you used to blunder.
4207 2310 3143 1667 - - - - -
ٱدْخُلُوٓا۟ أَبْوَٰبَ جَهَنَّمَ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا فَبِئْسَ مَثْوَى ٱلْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ٧٦
[40:76] Enter the gates of Gehenna to abide therein forever; what a miserable abode for the arrogant.
4208 2311 3144 1668 - 1496 2222 - 637
فَٱصْبِرْ إِنَّ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقٌّۭ فَإِمَّا نُرِيَنَّكَ بَعْضَ ٱلَّذِى نَعِدُهُمْ أَوْ نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ فَإِلَيْنَا يُرْجَعُونَ٧٧
[40:77] You shall therefore be patient, for indeed God's promise is true. Then, whether We show you some of what We have promised to them, or terminate your life, to Us they will all return.
4209 2312 3145 1669 - 1497 2223, 2224 - 638, 639
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلًۭا مِّن قَبْلِكَ مِنْهُم مَّن قَصَصْنَا عَلَيْكَ وَمِنْهُم مَّن لَّمْ نَقْصُصْ عَلَيْكَ وَمَا كَانَ لِرَسُولٍ أَن يَأْتِىَ بِـَٔايَةٍ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ ٱللَّهِ فَإِذَا جَآءَ أَمْرُ ٱللَّهِ قُضِىَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَخَسِرَ هُنَالِكَ ٱلْمُبْطِلُونَ٧٨
[40:78] And We indeed sent messengers before you, some We narrated to you their history and some We did not narrate to you. And there is not a single messenger who can produce a sign without God's permission. And once God's command is issued, and the truth has prevailed, the falsifiers shall perish.

ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلْأَنْعَٰمَ لِتَرْكَبُوا۟ مِنْهَا وَمِنْهَا تَأْكُلُونَ٧٩
[40:79] God is the One who created the livestock for you to ride on and eat therefrom.
4211 2314 3147 1671 - - - - -
وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا مَنَٰفِعُ وَلِتَبْلُغُوا۟ عَلَيْهَا حَاجَةًۭ فِى صُدُورِكُمْ وَعَلَيْهَا وَعَلَى ٱلْفُلْكِ تُحْمَلُونَ٨٠
[40:80] And there are benefits for you in them and that you may fulfill your needs through them and on them and on the ships you are carried.
4212 2315 3148 1672 - 1499 2226 - 641
وَيُرِيكُمْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ فَأَىَّ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ تُنكِرُونَ٨١
[40:81] And He continues to show you His signs, therefore, which of God's signs can you deny?

أَفَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا۟ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ كَانُوٓا۟ أَكْثَرَ مِنْهُمْ وَأَشَدَّ قُوَّةًۭ وَءَاثَارًۭا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَمَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ٨٢
[40:82] Do they not travel throughout the land and see what the consequences for those before them were? They were greater in number and were more powerful and left a greater legacy on the land, however, their earnings never enriched them.

فَلَمَّا جَآءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ فَرِحُوا۟ بِمَا عِندَهُم مِّنَ ٱلْعِلْمِ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ٨٣
[40:83] But, when their messengers went to them with proofs, they rejoiced in the knowledge they already had, and the very thing they ridiculed came back to haunt them.
4215 2318 3151 1675 - 1500 2227 - 642
فَلَمَّا رَأَوْا۟ بَأْسَنَا قَالُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا بِٱللَّهِ وَحْدَهُۥ وَكَفَرْنَا بِمَا كُنَّا بِهِۦ مُشْرِكِينَ٨٤
[40:84] Then once they saw Our Might, they said, We believe in God alone and reject what we used to set up as partners for Him.
4216 2319 3152 1676 - 1501 2228 - 643
فَلَمْ يَكُ يَنفَعُهُمْ إِيمَٰنُهُمْ لَمَّا رَأَوْا۟ بَأْسَنَا سُنَّتَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّتِى قَدْ خَلَتْ فِى عِبَادِهِۦ وَخَسِرَ هُنَالِكَ ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ٨٥
[40:85] However, their belief will not benefit them, once they see Our Might. Such is God's system with which He deals with His servants. And the unfaithful shall end up losers.
