بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the name of God, The All Gracious, The All Merciful
4544 1898 5474 2774 - 1572 2312 - 1923
ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَصَدُّوا۟ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ أَضَلَّ أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ١
[47:1] The unfaithful that have repelled from the path of God , He nullifies their works.
4545 1899 5475 2775 1157 - - 1500 -
وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ وَءَامَنُوا۟ بِمَا نُزِّلَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍۢ وَهُوَ ٱلْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّهِمْ كَفَّرَ عَنْهُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ وَأَصْلَحَ بَالَهُمْ٢
[47:2] As for those who attain faith and lead a righteous life, and believe in what was revealed to Muhammad which is the truth from their Lord, He will remit their sins and improve their deteriorating condition.

ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ ٱتَّبَعُوا۟ ٱلْبَٰطِلَ وَأَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱتَّبَعُوا۟ ٱلْحَقَّ مِن رَّبِّهِمْ كَذَٰلِكَ يَضْرِبُ ٱللَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ أَمْثَٰلَهُمْ٣
[47:3] This is because the unfaithful follow falsehood and the faithful follow the truth from their Lord. God thus cites examples for the people.
4547 1901 5477 2777 - 1574 2314, 2315 - 1925, 1926
فَإِذَا لَقِيتُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ فَضَرْبَ ٱلرِّقَابِ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَآ أَثْخَنتُمُوهُمْ فَشُدُّوا۟ ٱلْوَثَاقَ فَإِمَّا مَنًّۢا بَعْدُ وَإِمَّا فِدَآءً حَتَّىٰ تَضَعَ ٱلْحَرْبُ أَوْزَارَهَا ذَٰلِكَ وَلَوْ يَشَآءُ ٱللَّهُ لَٱنتَصَرَ مِنْهُمْ وَلَٰكِن لِّيَبْلُوَا۟ بَعْضَكُم بِبَعْضٍۢ وَٱلَّذِينَ قُتِلُوا۟ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ فَلَن يُضِلَّ أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ٤
[47:4] Therefore, when you encounter the unfaithful, you face abuse of the slaves, once you overcome them, then you shall uphold all treaties, thereafter you may be generous or you may ask for reparations for the burdens of the war. And had God willed, He could have certainly granted you victory over them, but He sets up some of you as tests for others. As for those who get killed in the cause of God , He will never put their works to waste.

سَيَهْدِيهِمْ وَيُصْلِحُ بَالَهُمْ٥
[47:5] He will soon guide them and improve their deteriorating condition.
4549 1903 5479 2779 - - - - -
وَيُدْخِلُهُمُ ٱلْجَنَّةَ عَرَّفَهَا لَهُمْ٦
[47:6] And He will admit them into Paradise which He has described for them.
4550 1904 5480 2780 1160 1575 2316 1503 1927
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِن تَنصُرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ يَنصُرْكُمْ وَيُثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَكُمْ٧
[47:7] O you faithful, if you support God , He will support you, and He will strengthen your foothold.
4551 1905 5481 2781 - - - - -
وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ فَتَعْسًۭا لَّهُمْ وَأَضَلَّ أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ٨
[47:8] As for the unfaithful, hardship shall be their share and He nullifies their works.
4552 1906 5482 2782 - 1576 2317 - 1928
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَرِهُوا۟ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ فَأَحْبَطَ أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ٩
[47:9] This is because they hated what God has revealed, therefore, all their work is in vain.
4553 1907 5483 2783 - 1577 2318 - 1929
أَفَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا۟ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ دَمَّرَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلِلْكَٰفِرِينَ أَمْثَٰلُهَا١٠
[47:10] Do they not travel throughout the land and see the consequences for those before them? God destroyed them and awaiting the unfaithful is a similar fate.
4554 1908 5484 2784 1161 1578 2319 1504 1930
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَوْلَى ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَأَنَّ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ لَا مَوْلَىٰ لَهُمْ١١
[47:11] This is because God is indeed the Lord of the faithful, while the unfaithful have no Lord.
4555 1909 5485 2785 - 1579 2320 - 1931
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُدْخِلُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ جَنَّٰتٍۢ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ يَتَمَتَّعُونَ وَيَأْكُلُونَ كَمَا تَأْكُلُ ٱلْأَنْعَٰمُ وَٱلنَّارُ مَثْوًۭى لَّهُمْ١٢
[47:12] Indeed, God will admit those who are faithful and lead a righteous life into Gardens with flowing streams beneath them; while those who are unfaithful will enjoy and eat like the livestock eat and Hell will be reserved for them as an abode.
4556 1910 5486 2786 1162 - - 1505 -
وَكَأَيِّن مِّن قَرْيَةٍ هِىَ أَشَدُّ قُوَّةًۭ مِّن قَرْيَتِكَ ٱلَّتِىٓ أَخْرَجَتْكَ أَهْلَكْنَٰهُمْ فَلَا نَاصِرَ لَهُمْ١٣
[47:13] And so many communities We annihilated who were more powerful than your community who evicted you. Consequently, there was no one to help them.
4557 1911 5487 2787 - - - - -
أَفَمَن كَانَ عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَةٍۢ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦ كَمَن زُيِّنَ لَهُۥ سُوٓءُ عَمَلِهِۦ وَٱتَّبَعُوٓا۟ أَهْوَآءَهُم١٤
[47:14] Therefore, is the one who has a proof from his Lord like the one whose evil works are adorned for him and he follows his desires?
4558 1912 5488 2788 - - - - -
مَّثَلُ ٱلْجَنَّةِ ٱلَّتِى وُعِدَ ٱلْمُتَّقُونَ فِيهَآ أَنْهَٰرٌۭ مِّن مَّآءٍ غَيْرِ ءَاسِنٍۢ وَأَنْهَٰرٌۭ مِّن لَّبَنٍۢ لَّمْ يَتَغَيَّرْ طَعْمُهُۥ وَأَنْهَٰرٌۭ مِّنْ خَمْرٍۢ لَّذَّةٍۢ لِّلشَّٰرِبِينَ وَأَنْهَٰرٌۭ مِّنْ عَسَلٍۢ مُّصَفًّۭى وَلَهُمْ فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ وَمَغْفِرَةٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ كَمَنْ هُوَ خَٰلِدٌۭ فِى ٱلنَّارِ وَسُقُوا۟ مَآءً حَمِيمًۭا فَقَطَّعَ أَمْعَآءَهُمْ١٥
[47:15] Here is the allegory of Paradise that has been promised to the righteous. In it are rivers of water never polluted and rivers of milk with constant taste, and rivers of wine, delicious to the drinkers, and rivers of pure honey. Therein are all kinds of fruits provided for them, as well as forgiveness from their Lord. Is this one like the one who is in Hell for eternity and drinks hellish water which rips his guts into pieces?
4559 1913 5489 2789 - 1580 2321 - 1932
وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَسْتَمِعُ إِلَيْكَ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا خَرَجُوا۟ مِنْ عِندِكَ قَالُوا۟ لِلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْعِلْمَ مَاذَا قَالَ ءَانِفًا أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ طَبَعَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ وَٱتَّبَعُوٓا۟ أَهْوَآءَهُمْ١٦
[47:16] And among them are those who listen to you, but once they leave your sight, they say to those who possess knowledge; what did he just say? These are the ones whom God has sealed their hearts and they follow their desires.
4560 1914 5490 2790 1163 - - 1506 -
وَٱلَّذِينَ ٱهْتَدَوْا۟ زَادَهُمْ هُدًۭى وَءَاتَىٰهُمْ تَقْوَىٰهُمْ١٧
[47:17] As for those who are guided, He increases their guidance, and grants them righteousness.
4561 1915 5491 2791 - - - - -
فَهَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا ٱلسَّاعَةَ أَن تَأْتِيَهُم بَغْتَةًۭ فَقَدْ جَآءَ أَشْرَاطُهَا فَأَنَّىٰ لَهُمْ إِذَا جَآءَتْهُمْ ذِكْرَىٰهُمْ١٨
[47:18] Are they then waiting for the Hour to come to them suddenly? All its necessary conditions have already been met. How could the message benefit them once it arrives?
4562 1916 5492 2792 1164 1581 2322, 2323 1507 1933, 1934
فَٱعْلَمْ أَنَّهُۥ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ وَٱسْتَغْفِرْ لِذَنۢبِكَ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ وَٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مُتَقَلَّبَكُمْ وَمَثْوَىٰكُمْ١٩
[47:19] Therefore, you shall know that there is no god except God and ask forgiveness for your sins and for that of the faithful men and the faithful women. And God fully knows your path and your final destiny.
4563 1917 5493 2793 - - - - -
وَيَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَوْلَا نُزِّلَتْ سُورَةٌۭ فَإِذَآ أُنزِلَتْ سُورَةٌۭ مُّحْكَمَةٌۭ وَذُكِرَ فِيهَا ٱلْقِتَالُ رَأَيْتَ ٱلَّذِينَ فِى قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌۭ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَيْكَ نَظَرَ ٱلْمَغْشِىِّ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ ٱلْمَوْتِ فَأَوْلَىٰ لَهُمْ٢٠
[47:20] And the faithful say, why is not a sura being revealed? However, when a straight-forward sura is revealed, and fighting is mentioned therein, you will see those with a disease in their hearts looking at you with a look of the one whom death has already overwhelmed him. However, their priority should be-
4564 1918 5494 2794 - 1582 2324 - 1935
طَاعَةٌۭ وَقَوْلٌۭ مَّعْرُوفٌۭ فَإِذَا عَزَمَ ٱلْأَمْرُ فَلَوْ صَدَقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ لَكَانَ خَيْرًۭا لَّهُمْ٢١
[47:21] -obedience and righteous utterance. Then when a decision is made, if they are truthful with God it would be surely better for them.
4565 1919 5495 2795 - - - - -
فَهَلْ عَسَيْتُمْ إِن تَوَلَّيْتُمْ أَن تُفْسِدُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَتُقَطِّعُوٓا۟ أَرْحَامَكُمْ٢٢
[47:22] Therefore, is it your plan that when you leave, you spread evil throughout the land and cut off all relations with your relatives?
4566 1920 5496 2796 1165 1583 2325 1508 1936
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَعَنَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ فَأَصَمَّهُمْ وَأَعْمَىٰٓ أَبْصَٰرَهُمْ٢٣
[47:23] These are the ones that God has cursed; consequently, He has made them deaf and has blinded their eyes.
4567 1921 5497 2797 - - - - -
أَفَلَا يَتَدَبَّرُونَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ أَمْ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبٍ أَقْفَالُهَآ٢٤
[47:24] Why then do they not study the Quran? Are there locks on their hearts?
4568 1922 5498 2798 - - - - -
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱرْتَدُّوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَدْبَٰرِهِم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلْهُدَى ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ سَوَّلَ لَهُمْ وَأَمْلَىٰ لَهُمْ٢٥
[47:25] Surely those who turn their backs after guidance has been manifested to them, Satan has enticed them and duped them.
4569 1923 5499 2799 - 1584 2326, 2327 - 1937, 1938
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا۟ لِلَّذِينَ كَرِهُوا۟ مَا نَزَّلَ ٱللَّهُ سَنُطِيعُكُمْ فِى بَعْضِ ٱلْأَمْرِ وَٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ إِسْرَارَهُمْ٢٦
[47:26] This is because they indeed said to those who hate what God has revealed, we will obey you in certain matters. And God fully knows their secrets.
4570 1924 5500 2800 - - - - -
فَكَيْفَ إِذَا تَوَفَّتْهُمُ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ يَضْرِبُونَ وُجُوهَهُمْ وَأَدْبَٰرَهُمْ٢٧
[47:27] Therefore, just imagine when the angels terminate their lives and beat their faces and rear ends.
4571 1925 5501 2801 - 1585 2328 - 1939
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمُ ٱتَّبَعُوا۟ مَآ أَسْخَطَ ٱللَّهَ وَكَرِهُوا۟ رِضْوَٰنَهُۥ فَأَحْبَطَ أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ٢٨
[47:28] This is because they followed what made God most angry and hated to please Him. Therefore all their works are nullified.
4572 1926 5502 2802 1166 1586 2329 1509 1940
أَمْ حَسِبَ ٱلَّذِينَ فِى قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ أَن لَّن يُخْرِجَ ٱللَّهُ أَضْغَٰنَهُمْ٢٩
[47:29] Or do those with a disease in their hearts reckon that God will not expose their evil work?
4573 1927 5503 2803 - 1587 2330 - 1941
وَلَوْ نَشَآءُ لَأَرَيْنَٰكَهُمْ فَلَعَرَفْتَهُم بِسِيمَٰهُمْ وَلَتَعْرِفَنَّهُمْ فِى لَحْنِ ٱلْقَوْلِ وَٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ أَعْمَٰلَكُمْ٣٠
[47:30] Had We willed, We could have exposed them for you, then, you would have recognized them by their looks and by the way they talk. And God knows all your work.
4574 1928 5504 2804 1167 - - 1510 -
وَلَنَبْلُوَنَّكُمْ حَتَّىٰ نَعْلَمَ ٱلْمُجَٰهِدِينَ مِنكُمْ وَٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ وَنَبْلُوَا۟ أَخْبَارَكُمْ٣١
[47:31] And We will test you until We distinguish those amongst you who strive and resort to patience and We will inform you of your situation.
4575 1929 5505 2805 - 1588 2331, 2332 - 1942, 1943
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَصَدُّوا۟ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَشَآقُّوا۟ ٱلرَّسُولَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلْهُدَىٰ لَن يَضُرُّوا۟ ٱللَّهَ شَيْـًۭٔا وَسَيُحْبِطُ أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ٣٢
[47:32] Surely, the unfaithful who repel from the path of God and fight the Messenger, after the guidance was evident to them, will not harm God in the least, and He will nullify all their work.
4576 1930 5506 2806 - 1589 2333 - 1944
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَطِيعُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا۟ ٱلرَّسُولَ وَلَا تُبْطِلُوٓا۟ أَعْمَٰلَكُمْ٣٣
[47:33] O you faithful, obey God and obey the messenger, and do not put your work to waste.
4577 1931 5507 2807 - 1590 2334, 2335 - 1945, 1946
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَصَدُّوا۟ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ ثُمَّ مَاتُوا۟ وَهُمْ كُفَّارٌۭ فَلَن يَغْفِرَ ٱللَّهُ لَهُمْ٣٤
[47:34] Surely, the unfaithful who repel from the path of God , then die as unfaithful, God will never forgive them.
4578 1932 5508 2808 - 1591 2336 - 1947
فَلَا تَهِنُوا۟ وَتَدْعُوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱلسَّلْمِ وَأَنتُمُ ٱلْأَعْلَوْنَ وَٱللَّهُ مَعَكُمْ وَلَن يَتِرَكُمْ أَعْمَٰلَكُمْ٣٥
[47:35] Therefore, do not waiver, and call for peace, and you shall overcome because God is with you and He will never put your work to waste.
4579 1933 5509 2809 - - - - -
إِنَّمَا ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَا لَعِبٌۭ وَلَهْوٌۭ وَإِن تُؤْمِنُوا۟ وَتَتَّقُوا۟ يُؤْتِكُمْ أُجُورَكُمْ وَلَا يَسْـَٔلْكُمْ أَمْوَٰلَكُمْ٣٦
[47:36] Indeed this worldly life is no more than vanity and play. And if you remain faithful and become god-fearing, He will pay your due wages and will never ask you for any money.
4580 1934 5510 2810 1168 - - 1511 -
إِن يَسْـَٔلْكُمُوهَا فَيُحْفِكُمْ تَبْخَلُوا۟ وَيُخْرِجْ أَضْغَٰنَكُمْ٣٧
[47:37] Had He asked you for it, and put you in a bind, you would have become stingy and your evil thoughts would have been exposed.
4581 1935 5511 2811 - 1592 2337, 2338 - 1948, 1949
هَٰٓأَنتُمْ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ تُدْعَوْنَ لِتُنفِقُوا۟ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ فَمِنكُم مَّن يَبْخَلُ وَمَن يَبْخَلْ فَإِنَّمَا يَبْخَلُ عَن نَّفْسِهِۦ وَٱللَّهُ ٱلْغَنِىُّ وَأَنتُمُ ٱلْفُقَرَآءُ وَإِن تَتَوَلَّوْا۟ يَسْتَبْدِلْ قَوْمًا غَيْرَكُمْ ثُمَّ لَا يَكُونُوٓا۟ أَمْثَٰلَكُم٣٨
[47:38] Here you are, being invited to spend in the cause of God , but some of you become stingy and whoever is stingy, then indeed his stinginess is to his own detriment and God is Rich and you are the needy and if you turn away, He would substitute other people in your place who will not be like you.
