قٓ وَٱلْقُرْءَانِ ٱلْمَجِيدِ١

[50:1] Qaf and the Glorious Quran.

بَلْ عَجِبُوٓا۟ أَن جَآءَهُم مُّنذِرٌۭ مِّنْهُمْ فَقَالَ ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ هَٰذَا شَىْءٌ عَجِيبٌ٢

[50:2] However, they were surprised that a warner had come to them from amongst them. Then the unfaithful said, this is a strange thing-

أَءِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًۭا ذَٰلِكَ رَجْعٌۢ بَعِيدٌۭ٣

[50:3] -that when we die and become dust, that is really an unlikely return.

قَدْ عَلِمْنَا مَا تَنقُصُ ٱلْأَرْضُ مِنْهُمْ وَعِندَنَا كِتَٰبٌ حَفِيظٌۢ٤

[50:4] We are fully aware that the territory shrinks around them for We keep a preserved record at Our site.

بَلْ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِٱلْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَهُمْ فَهُمْ فِىٓ أَمْرٍۢ مَّرِيجٍ٥

[50:5] However, they continued to deny the truth when it came to them; consequently, they became completely confused regarding matters.

أَفَلَمْ يَنظُرُوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَوْقَهُمْ كَيْفَ بَنَيْنَٰهَا وَزَيَّنَّٰهَا وَمَا لَهَا مِن فُرُوجٍۢ٦

[50:6] Do they not look at the sky above them; how We constructed it and adorned it, and that there are no flaws in it?

وَٱلْأَرْضَ مَدَدْنَٰهَا وَأَلْقَيْنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ وَأَنۢبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍۭ بَهِيجٍۢ٧

[50:7] And as for the land, We have spread it out, and placed therein stabilizers, and grew therein every kind of beautiful thing.

تَبْصِرَةًۭ وَذِكْرَىٰ لِكُلِّ عَبْدٍۢ مُّنِيبٍۢ٨

[50:8] An observation and reminder for every penitent servant.

وَنَزَّلْنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءًۭ مُّبَٰرَكًۭا فَأَنۢبَتْنَا بِهِۦ جَنَّٰتٍۢ وَحَبَّ ٱلْحَصِيدِ٩

[50:9] And We send down from the sky blessed water, We therewith produce gardens and seed for the crops-

وَٱلنَّخْلَ بَاسِقَٰتٍۢ لَّهَا طَلْعٌۭ نَّضِيدٌۭ١٠

[50:10] -and tall palm trees, with hanging fruits.

رِّزْقًۭا لِّلْعِبَادِ وَأَحْيَيْنَا بِهِۦ بَلْدَةًۭ مَّيْتًۭا كَذَٰلِكَ ٱلْخُرُوجُ١١

[50:11] A provision for Our servants and We revive with it the dead town. Such is resurrection.

كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍۢ وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلرَّسِّ وَثَمُودُ١٢

[50:12] Rejecting before them were the people of Noah, the dwellers of the Rass, and Thamoud,-

وَعَادٌۭ وَفِرْعَوْنُ وَإِخْوَٰنُ لُوطٍۢ١٣

[50:13] -and Aad, Pharaoh, and the brethren of Lot,-

وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْأَيْكَةِ وَقَوْمُ تُبَّعٍۢ كُلٌّۭ كَذَّبَ ٱلرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ وَعِيدِ١٤

[50:14] -and the dwellers of the Wood, and the people of Tubba. They all rejected the messengers. Consequently, the promise was truthfully fulfilled.

أَفَعَيِينَا بِٱلْخَلْقِ ٱلْأَوَّلِ بَلْ هُمْ فِى لَبْسٍۢ مِّنْ خَلْقٍۢ جَدِيدٍۢ١٥

[50:15] Were We then too burdened by the first creation? Is this why they are doubtful about a new creation?

وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ وَنَعْلَمُ مَا تُوَسْوِسُ بِهِۦ نَفْسُهُۥ وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ حَبْلِ ٱلْوَرِيدِ١٦

[50:16] And indeed We created the human being, and We know what he whispers to himself, and We are closer to him than his jugular vein.

إِذْ يَتَلَقَّى ٱلْمُتَلَقِّيَانِ عَنِ ٱلْيَمِينِ وَعَنِ ٱلشِّمَالِ قَعِيدٌۭ١٧

[50:17] Two recorders are sitting to the right and to the left recording.

مَّا يَلْفِظُ مِن قَوْلٍ إِلَّا لَدَيْهِ رَقِيبٌ عَتِيدٌۭ١٨

[50:18] Every statement he makes is closely monitored by a readily available watcher.

وَجَآءَتْ سَكْرَةُ ٱلْمَوْتِ بِٱلْحَقِّ ذَٰلِكَ مَا كُنتَ مِنْهُ تَحِيدُ١٩

[50:19] And the coma of death rightfully comes. This is what you were trying to escape.

وَنُفِخَ فِى ٱلصُّورِ ذَٰلِكَ يَوْمُ ٱلْوَعِيدِ٢٠

[50:20] And the trumpet sounds. That is the promised Day.

وَجَآءَتْ كُلُّ نَفْسٍۢ مَّعَهَا سَآئِقٌۭ وَشَهِيدٌۭ٢١

[50:21] And every soul comes with an usher and a witness.

لَّقَدْ كُنتَ فِى غَفْلَةٍۢ مِّنْ هَٰذَا فَكَشَفْنَا عَنكَ غِطَآءَكَ فَبَصَرُكَ ٱلْيَوْمَ حَدِيدٌۭ٢٢

[50:22] You were heedless of this; We now have removed your veil, and your vision is as strong as iron.

وَقَالَ قَرِينُهُۥ هَٰذَا مَا لَدَىَّ عَتِيدٌ٢٣

[50:23] And his companion says; there I was always with him.

أَلْقِيَا فِى جَهَنَّمَ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ عَنِيدٍۢ٢٤

[50:24] Throw in Gehenna every unfaithful, stubborn.

مَّنَّاعٍۢ لِّلْخَيْرِ مُعْتَدٍۢ مُّرِيبٍ٢٥

[50:25] Forbidder of righteousness, transgressor, full of doubt.

ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَأَلْقِيَاهُ فِى ٱلْعَذَابِ ٱلشَّدِيدِ٢٦

[50:26] He is the one who set up another god besides God . Throw him into the ultimate suffering.

قَالَ قَرِينُهُۥ رَبَّنَا مَآ أَطْغَيْتُهُۥ وَلَٰكِن كَانَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍۭ بَعِيدٍۢ٢٧

[50:27] His companion says, our Lord, I did not mislead him, he was already far astray.

قَالَ لَا تَخْتَصِمُوا۟ لَدَىَّ وَقَدْ قَدَّمْتُ إِلَيْكُم بِٱلْوَعِيدِ٢٨

[50:28] He will say, do not argue in front of Me, I had sufficiently warned you about the promised day.

مَا يُبَدَّلُ ٱلْقَوْلُ لَدَىَّ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ بِظَلَّٰمٍۢ لِّلْعَبِيدِ٢٩

[50:29] I never break a promise and I am not unjust towards My servants.

يَوْمَ نَقُولُ لِجَهَنَّمَ هَلِ ٱمْتَلَأْتِ وَتَقُولُ هَلْ مِن مَّزِيدٍۢ٣٠

[50:30] The day when We ask Gehenna, are you completely full? It will say, are there any more?

وَأُزْلِفَتِ ٱلْجَنَّةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ غَيْرَ بَعِيدٍ٣١

[50:31] And Paradise will be brought close to the righteous, not far away.

هَٰذَا مَا تُوعَدُونَ لِكُلِّ أَوَّابٍ حَفِيظٍۢ٣٢

[50:32] This is what was promised to every penitent, steadfast.

مَّنْ خَشِىَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنَ بِٱلْغَيْبِ وَجَآءَ بِقَلْبٍۢ مُّنِيبٍ٣٣

[50:33] The one who fears The All Gracious in his privacy, and comes with a penitent heart.

ٱدْخُلُوهَا بِسَلَٰمٍۢ ذَٰلِكَ يَوْمُ ٱلْخُلُودِ٣٤

[50:34] Enter therein in peace; this is the Day of Eternity.

لَهُم مَّا يَشَآءُونَ فِيهَا وَلَدَيْنَا مَزِيدٌۭ٣٥

[50:35] There will be everything they wish for and We have even more.

وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هُمْ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُم بَطْشًۭا فَنَقَّبُوا۟ فِى ٱلْبِلَٰدِ هَلْ مِن مَّحِيصٍ٣٦

[50:36] And how many generations before them did We annihilate who possessed more power than them? Then they searched throughout the country, was there any way out?

إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَذِكْرَىٰ لِمَن كَانَ لَهُۥ قَلْبٌ أَوْ أَلْقَى ٱلسَّمْعَ وَهُوَ شَهِيدٌۭ٣٧

[50:37] Indeed, in this, there is a reminder for anyone who has a heart or lends an ear and who is an honest broker.

وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِى سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍۢ وَمَا مَسَّنَا مِن لُّغُوبٍۢ٣٨

[50:38] And We indeed created the skies and the land and everything between them in six days, and no fatigue ever touched Us.

فَٱصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ ٱلشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ ٱلْغُرُوبِ٣٩

[50:39] Therefore, be patient in the face of their utterances and glorify and praise your Lord before sunrise and before sunset.

وَمِنَ ٱلَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْهُ وَأَدْبَٰرَ ٱلسُّجُودِ٤٠

[50:40] And during the night, glorify Him and during prostration.

وَٱسْتَمِعْ يَوْمَ يُنَادِ ٱلْمُنَادِ مِن مَّكَانٍۢ قَرِيبٍۢ٤١

[50:41] And listen the day when the caller will call from a nearby location.

يَوْمَ يَسْمَعُونَ ٱلصَّيْحَةَ بِٱلْحَقِّ ذَٰلِكَ يَوْمُ ٱلْخُرُوجِ٤٢

[50:42] The day they hear the thunderous sound according to the truth. That will be the Day of Exodus.

إِنَّا نَحْنُ نُحْىِۦ وَنُمِيتُ وَإِلَيْنَا ٱلْمَصِيرُ٤٣

[50:43] Indeed, We grant life and death; and to Us is the final destiny.

يَوْمَ تَشَقَّقُ ٱلْأَرْضُ عَنْهُمْ سِرَاعًۭا ذَٰلِكَ حَشْرٌ عَلَيْنَا يَسِيرٌۭ٤٤

[50:44] The day the ground cracks open and lets them out in a hurry. That is the summoning which is so easy for Us.

نَّحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَقُولُونَ وَمَآ أَنتَ عَلَيْهِم بِجَبَّارٍۢ فَذَكِّرْ بِٱلْقُرْءَانِ مَن يَخَافُ وَعِيدِ٤٥

[50:45] We know full well what they say, and you are not to force them in any way, therefore, remind with this Quran those who fear the promised day.
