[55:2] -teaches the Quran.

خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ٣

[55:3] He created the human.

عَلَّمَهُ ٱلْبَيَانَ٤

[55:4] He teaches the man how to distinguish.

ٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍۢ٥

[55:5] The sun and the moon are exactly calculated.

وَٱلنَّجْمُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ يَسْجُدَانِ٦

[55:6] And the star and the tree both prostrate.

وَٱلسَّمَآءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ ٱلْمِيزَانَ٧

[55:7] And He raised the sky and established the balance.

أَلَّا تَطْغَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْمِيزَانِ٨

[55:8] Absolutely, do not violate the balance.

وَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلْوَزْنَ بِٱلْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا۟ ٱلْمِيزَانَ٩

[55:9] And set the scales equitably and do not disturb the balance.

وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلْأَنَامِ١٠

[55:10] He created the land for all creatures.

فِيهَا فَٰكِهَةٌۭ وَٱلنَّخْلُ ذَاتُ ٱلْأَكْمَامِ١١

[55:11] Therein are fruits and date palms with hanging clusters.

وَٱلْحَبُّ ذُو ٱلْعَصْفِ وَٱلرَّيْحَانُ١٢

[55:12] And whole grain and spices.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ١٣

[55:13] Then which of your Lord’s marvels can you two deny?

خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ مِن صَلْصَٰلٍۢ كَٱلْفَخَّارِ١٤

[55:14] He created the human being from clay like potter’s clay.

وَخَلَقَ ٱلْجَآنَّ مِن مَّارِجٍۢ مِّن نَّارٍۢ١٥

[55:15] And He created the jinns from blazing fire.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ١٦

[55:16] Then which of your Lord’s marvels can you two deny?

رَبُّ ٱلْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ ٱلْمَغْرِبَيْنِ١٧

[55:17] He is Lord of the two Easts and Lord of the two Wests.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ١٨

[55:18] Then which of your Lord’s marvels can you two deny?

مَرَجَ ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ١٩

[55:19] He separates the two seas where they meet.

بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌۭ لَّا يَبْغِيَانِ٢٠

[55:20] Between them is a barrier, they cannot transgress.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٢١

[55:21] Then which of your Lord’s marvels can you two deny?

يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا ٱللُّؤْلُؤُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ٢٢

[55:22] Out of both of them come pearls and coral.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٢٣

[55:23] Then which of your Lord’s marvels can you two deny?

وَلَهُ ٱلْجَوَارِ ٱلْمُنشَـَٔاتُ فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ كَٱلْأَعْلَٰمِ٢٤

[55:24] And to Him belong the ships in the sea like flags.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٢٥

[55:25] Then which of your Lord’s marvels can you two deny?

كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍۢ٢٦

[55:26] Everyone on it will perish.

وَيَبْقَىٰ وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو ٱلْجَلَٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ٢٧

[55:27] And eternal is the face of your Lord, possessor of Majesty and Honor.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٢٨

[55:28] Then which of your Lord’s marvels can you two deny?

يَسْـَٔلُهُۥ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِى شَأْنٍۢ٢٩

[55:29] Seeking Him is everyone in the skies and the land. Every day He is in full control.

[55:30] Then which of your Lord’s marvels can you two deny?

سَنَفْرُغُ لَكُمْ أَيُّهَ ٱلثَّقَلَانِ٣١

[55:31] We will soon settle the matter for you, O you two masses.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٣٢

[55:32] Then which of your Lord’s marvels can you two deny?

يَٰمَعْشَرَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ إِنِ ٱسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَن تَنفُذُوا۟ مِنْ أَقْطَارِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ فَٱنفُذُوا۟ لَا تَنفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلْطَٰنٍۢ٣٣

[55:33] O you multitudes of jinns and humans if you can penetrate the diameters of the skies and the land; go ahead and penetrate. You can never penetrate except by authorization.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٣٤

[55:34] Then which of your Lord’s marvels can you two deny?

يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌۭ مِّن نَّارٍۢ وَنُحَاسٌۭ فَلَا تَنتَصِرَانِ٣٥

[55:35] The two of you will be bombarded by blazing fire and molten copper and you will have no help.

[55:36] Then which of your Lord’s marvels can you two deny?

فَإِذَا ٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةًۭ كَٱلدِّهَانِ٣٧

[55:37] When the vacuum ruptures and becomes red like rouge.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٣٨

[55:38] Then which of your Lord’s marvels can you two deny?

فَيَوْمَئِذٍۢ لَّا يُسْـَٔلُ عَن ذَنۢبِهِۦٓ إِنسٌۭ وَلَا جَآنٌّۭ٣٩

[55:39] Then there will be a day when no human and no jinn will be asked about his sin.

[55:40] Then which of your Lord’s marvels can you two deny?

يُعْرَفُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ بِسِيمَٰهُمْ فَيُؤْخَذُ بِٱلنَّوَٰصِى وَٱلْأَقْدَامِ٤١

[55:41] The guilty will be recognized by their looks, and they will be taken by the forelocks and the feet.

[55:42] Then which of your Lord’s marvels can you two deny?

هَٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِى يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ٤٣

[55:43] This is Gehenna that the guilty used to deny.

يَطُوفُونَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ حَمِيمٍ ءَانٍۢ٤٤

[55:44] They circulate between it and the intolerable Inferno readily.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٤٥

[55:45] Then which of your Lord’s marvels can you two deny?

وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ جَنَّتَانِ٤٦

[55:46] As for the one who fears the Majesty of his Lord, there will be two gardens.

[55:47] Then which of your Lord’s marvels can you two deny?

ذَوَاتَآ أَفْنَانٍۢ٤٨

[55:48] Containing everything.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٤٩

[55:49] Then which of your Lord’s marvels can you two deny?

فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ تَجْرِيَانِ٥٠

[55:50] In each of the two, a spring is flowing.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٥١

[55:51] Then which of your Lord’s marvels can you two deny?

فِيهِمَا مِن كُلِّ فَٰكِهَةٍۢ زَوْجَانِ٥٢

[55:52] In them, there will be all sorts of fruits, two kinds.

[55:53] Then which of your Lord’s marvels can you two deny?

مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ فُرُشٍۭ بَطَآئِنُهَا مِنْ إِسْتَبْرَقٍۢ وَجَنَى ٱلْجَنَّتَيْنِ دَانٍۢ٥٤

[55:54] They will relax on furnishings with linings of silk. And the fruits of the two Gardens will be within reach.

[55:55] Then which of your Lord’s marvels can you two deny?

فِيهِنَّ قَٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرْفِ لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌۭ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَآنٌّۭ٥٦

[55:56] Therein will be shy companions subduing their eyes whom no human or jinn before has ever touched.

[55:57] Then which of your Lord’s marvels can you two deny?

كَأَنَّهُنَّ ٱلْيَاقُوتُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ٥٨

[55:58] They are like rubies and coral.

[55:59] Then which of your Lord’s marvels can you two deny?

هَلْ جَزَآءُ ٱلْإِحْسَٰنِ إِلَّا ٱلْإِحْسَٰنُ٦٠

[55:60] Is the reward for goodness anything but goodness?

[55:61] Then which of your Lord’s marvels can you two deny?

وَمِن دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ٦٢

[55:62] And below these two are two other Gardens.

[55:63] Then which of your Lord’s marvels can you two deny?

[55:64] Both are lush green.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٦٥

[55:65] Then which of your Lord’s marvels can you two deny?

فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ نَضَّاخَتَانِ٦٦

[55:66] In these two, there are two springs gushing out.

[55:67] Then which of your Lord’s marvels can you two deny?

فِيهِمَا فَٰكِهَةٌۭ وَنَخْلٌۭ وَرُمَّانٌۭ٦٨

[55:68] In both there will be fruits, and dates and pomegranates.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٦٩

[55:69] Then which of your Lord’s marvels can you two deny?

فِيهِنَّ خَيْرَٰتٌ حِسَانٌۭ٧٠

[55:70] In them will be pure, beautiful companions.

[55:71] Then which of your Lord’s marvels can you two deny?

حُورٌۭ مَّقْصُورَٰتٌۭ فِى ٱلْخِيَامِ٧٢

[55:72] Shy companions residing in tents.

[55:73] Then which of your Lord’s marvels can you two deny?

لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌۭ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَآنٌّۭ٧٤

[55:74] No human or jinn has ever touched them previously.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٧٥

[55:75] Then which of your Lord’s marvels can you two deny?

مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ رَفْرَفٍ خُضْرٍۢ وَعَبْقَرِىٍّ حِسَانٍۢ٧٦

[55:76] They will be relaxing on green cushions and in luxurious establishments.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٧٧

[55:77] Then which of your Lord’s marvels can you two deny?

تَبَٰرَكَ ٱسْمُ رَبِّكَ ذِى ٱلْجَلَٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ٧٨

[55:78] Blessed is the name of your Lord, Possessor of Majesty and Honor.
