وَإِذِ ٱبْتَلَىٰٓ إِبْرَٰهِۦمَ رَبُّهُۥ بِكَلِمَٰتٍۢ فَأَتَمَّهُنَّ قَالَ إِنِّى جَاعِلُكَ لِلنَّاسِ إِمَامًۭا قَالَ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِى قَالَ لَا يَنَالُ عَهْدِى ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ ﴿١٢٤﴾
[2:124]
And when Abraham was tested by his Lord through words which he subsequently was able to fulfill, He said, indeed I am appointing you a leader of the people; he said and what about my descendants? He said, My promise does not extend to the transgressors.

وَإِذْ جَعَلْنَا ٱلْبَيْتَ مَثَابَةًۭ لِّلنَّاسِ وَأَمْنًۭا وَٱتَّخِذُوا۟ مِن مَّقَامِ إِبْرَٰهِۦمَ مُصَلًّۭى وَعَهِدْنَآ إِلَىٰٓ إِبْرَٰهِۦمَ وَإِسْمَٰعِيلَ أَن طَهِّرَا بَيْتِىَ لِلطَّآئِفِينَ وَٱلْعَٰكِفِينَ وَٱلرُّكَّعِ ٱلسُّجُودِ ﴿١٢٥﴾
[2:125]
And We made the House a place for the people to congregate as well as a sanctuary, and you shall make the station of Abraham a beacon for the contact prayer and We took a covenant from Abraham and Ishmael, that the two of you shall cleanse My House for the visitors, and the residents and those who humbly bow down and prostrate.

وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَٰهِۦمُ رَبِّ ٱجْعَلْ هَٰذَا بَلَدًا ءَامِنًۭا وَٱرْزُقْ أَهْلَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ مَنْ ءَامَنَ مِنْهُم بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْءَاخِرِ قَالَ وَمَن كَفَرَ فَأُمَتِّعُهُۥ قَلِيلًۭا ثُمَّ أَضْطَرُّهُۥٓ إِلَىٰ عَذَابِ ٱلنَّارِ وَبِئْسَ ٱلْمَصِيرُ ﴿١٢٦﴾
[2:126]
And Abraham said, my Lord, make this town secure and provide for its inhabitants all kinds of fruits for those who believe in God and the Last Day. He said and as for the unfaithful, I provide for him a little, thereafter, I see no option for him but the suffering of hell, and a miserable abode.

وَإِذْ يَرْفَعُ إِبْرَٰهِۦمُ ٱلْقَوَاعِدَ مِنَ ٱلْبَيْتِ وَإِسْمَٰعِيلُ رَبَّنَا تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّآ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ ﴿١٢٧﴾
[2:127]
And when Abraham was raising the foundation of the House along with Ishmael, they said, our Lord, accept this from us, indeed You are The All Hearing, The All Knowing.

رَبَّنَا وَٱجْعَلْنَا مُسْلِمَيْنِ لَكَ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِنَآ أُمَّةًۭ مُّسْلِمَةًۭ لَّكَ وَأَرِنَا مَنَاسِكَنَا وَتُبْ عَلَيْنَآ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلتَّوَّابُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ﴿١٢٨﴾
[2:128]
Our Lord, make us at peace with You and from our descendants make a community who is at peace with You, and show us our rituals, and accept our repentance. Indeed You are The Accepter of Repentance, The All Merciful.

رَبَّنَا وَٱبْعَثْ فِيهِمْ رَسُولًۭا مِّنْهُمْ يَتْلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَٰتِكَ وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَٱلْحِكْمَةَ وَيُزَكِّيهِمْ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ﴿١٢٩﴾
[2:129]
Our Lord, raise amongst them a messenger from them to recite for them Your Signs and teach them the scripture and wisdom and cleanse them. Indeed You are The Almighty, The All Wise.

وَمَن يَرْغَبُ عَن مِّلَّةِ إِبْرَٰهِۦمَ إِلَّا مَن سَفِهَ نَفْسَهُۥ وَلَقَدِ ٱصْطَفَيْنَٰهُ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا وَإِنَّهُۥ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ لَمِنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ ﴿١٣٠﴾
[2:130]
And who would forsake the Nation of Abraham, except the one who has fooled himself. And indeed We have chosen him in this world and surely in the Hereafter, he will be with the righteous.

[2:131]
When his Lord told him; make peace, he said, I am at peace with the Lord of the multiverse.

وَوَصَّىٰ بِهَآ إِبْرَٰهِۦمُ بَنِيهِ وَيَعْقُوبُ يَٰبَنِىَّ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ ٱصْطَفَىٰ لَكُمُ ٱلدِّينَ فَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ ﴿١٣٢﴾
[2:132]
And thus was Abraham’s will to his two sons and so was that of Jacob, O my sons, indeed God has chosen the religion for you, hence, do not die except as peace offers.

أَمْ كُنتُمْ شُهَدَآءَ إِذْ حَضَرَ يَعْقُوبَ ٱلْمَوْتُ إِذْ قَالَ لِبَنِيهِ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِنۢ بَعْدِى قَالُوا۟ نَعْبُدُ إِلَٰهَكَ وَإِلَٰهَ ءَابَآئِكَ إِبْرَٰهِۦمَ وَإِسْمَٰعِيلَ وَإِسْحَٰقَ إِلَٰهًۭا وَٰحِدًۭا وَنَحْنُ لَهُۥ مُسْلِمُونَ ﴿١٣٣﴾
[2:133]
If you could only witness when death was overwhelming Jacob, that is when he asked his sons; what will you worship after me? They said, we worship your god, god of your fathers, Abraham, Ishmael and Isaac, the One god and to Him we are submitters.
