وَإِنَّ مِنْهُمْ لَفَرِيقًۭا يَلْوُۥنَ أَلْسِنَتَهُم بِٱلْكِتَٰبِ لِتَحْسَبُوهُ مِنَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ وَمَا هُوَ مِنَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ وَيَقُولُونَ هُوَ مِنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ وَمَا هُوَ مِنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ وَيَقُولُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلْكَذِبَ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ ﴿٧٨﴾
[3:78]
Moreover, indeed a group of them twist their tongue to make it sound like the scripture, in order to make you reckon that it is from the scripture, while it is not from the scripture and they will say it is from God while it is not from God and they say a lie about God while they know better.

مَا كَانَ لِبَشَرٍ أَن يُؤْتِيَهُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَٱلْحُكْمَ وَٱلنُّبُوَّةَ ثُمَّ يَقُولَ لِلنَّاسِ كُونُوا۟ عِبَادًۭا لِّى مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَٰكِن كُونُوا۟ رَبَّٰنِيِّۦنَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تُعَلِّمُونَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَبِمَا كُنتُمْ تَدْرُسُونَ ﴿٧٩﴾
[3:79]
It is impossible for any human being whom God has given the scripture, wisdom and prophethood to say to people, be my worshipers instead of God ’s; he would instead say, be people of the Lord according to what you have been taught from the scripture and what you teach thereof.

وَلَا يَأْمُرَكُمْ أَن تَتَّخِذُوا۟ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ وَٱلنَّبِيِّۦنَ أَرْبَابًا أَيَأْمُرُكُم بِٱلْكُفْرِ بَعْدَ إِذْ أَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ ﴿٨٠﴾
[3:80]
Nor would he command you to take angels and the prophets as lords. Would he command you to disbelieve after you have become peace offerers?

وَإِذْ أَخَذَ ٱللَّهُ مِيثَٰقَ ٱلنَّبِيِّۦنَ لَمَآ ءَاتَيْتُكُم مِّن كِتَٰبٍۢ وَحِكْمَةٍۢ ثُمَّ جَآءَكُمْ رَسُولٌۭ مُّصَدِّقٌۭ لِّمَا مَعَكُمْ لَتُؤْمِنُنَّ بِهِۦ وَلَتَنصُرُنَّهُۥ قَالَ ءَأَقْرَرْتُمْ وَأَخَذْتُمْ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكُمْ إِصْرِى قَالُوٓا۟ أَقْرَرْنَا قَالَ فَٱشْهَدُوا۟ وَأَنَا۠ مَعَكُم مِّنَ ٱلشَّٰهِدِينَ ﴿٨١﴾
[3:81]
And when God took a covenant from the prophets, that indeed I have given you scripture and wisdom, thereafter, a messenger will come to you upholding what you have, you shall believe in him and support him. He said, do you agree and make a solemn covenant? They said we agree. He said, therefore be witnesses and I am witnessing this along with you.

Translation:And when God took a covenant from the prophets, that indeed I have given you scripture and wisdom, thereafter, a messenger will come to you upholding what you have, you shall believe in him and support him. أَفَغَيْرَ دِينِ ٱللَّهِ يَبْغُونَ وَلَهُۥٓ أَسْلَمَ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ طَوْعًۭا وَكَرْهًۭا وَإِلَيْهِ يُرْجَعُونَ ﴿٨٣﴾
[3:83]
Are you seeking other than God ’s religion, when to Him offer peace everything in the skies and the land willingly or unwillingly, and to Him they all will return?

قُلْ ءَامَنَّا بِٱللَّهِ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْنَا وَمَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَىٰٓ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَإِسْمَٰعِيلَ وَإِسْحَٰقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ وَٱلْأَسْبَاطِ وَمَآ أُوتِىَ مُوسَىٰ وَعِيسَىٰ وَٱلنَّبِيُّونَ مِن رَّبِّهِمْ لَا نُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ أَحَدٍۢ مِّنْهُمْ وَنَحْنُ لَهُۥ مُسْلِمُونَ ﴿٨٤﴾
[3:84]
Say, we believe in God and what was revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the non-Israelites, and what was revealed to Moses, Jesus and the prophets from their Lord; we make no distinction among them and to Him we offer peace.

وَمَن يَبْتَغِ غَيْرَ ٱلْإِسْلَٰمِ دِينًۭا فَلَن يُقْبَلَ مِنْهُ وَهُوَ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ مِنَ ٱلْخَٰسِرِينَ ﴿٨٥﴾
[3:85]
Moreover, whoever takes other than Submission as a religion, it will then not be accepted from him and he will end up a loser in the Hereafter.

كَيْفَ يَهْدِى ٱللَّهُ قَوْمًۭا كَفَرُوا۟ بَعْدَ إِيمَٰنِهِمْ وَشَهِدُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱلرَّسُولَ حَقٌّۭ وَجَآءَهُمُ ٱلْبَيِّنَٰتُ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ ﴿٨٦﴾
[3:86]
How should God guide a people who have disbelieved after attaining faith and have witnessed that the messenger is truthful, and they also received proofs? And God does not guide the people who are unjust.

Translation:How should God guide a people who have disbelieved after attaining faith and have witnessed that the messenger is truthful, and they also received proofs? And God does not guide the people who are unjust.
