هَٰذَا بَيَانٌۭ لِّلنَّاسِ وَهُدًۭى وَمَوْعِظَةٌۭ لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ ﴿١٣٨﴾
[3:138]
This is clarification for the people as well as guidance and enlightenment for the righteous.

وَلَا تَهِنُوا۟ وَلَا تَحْزَنُوا۟ وَأَنتُمُ ٱلْأَعْلَوْنَ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ ﴿١٣٩﴾
[3:139]
And do not waiver and do not be saddened, for you are superior once you attain faith.

إِن يَمْسَسْكُمْ قَرْحٌۭ فَقَدْ مَسَّ ٱلْقَوْمَ قَرْحٌۭ مِّثْلُهُۥ وَتِلْكَ ٱلْأَيَّامُ نُدَاوِلُهَا بَيْنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَلِيَعْلَمَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَيَتَّخِذَ مِنكُمْ شُهَدَآءَ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ ﴿١٤٠﴾
[3:140]
If you are afflicted with an injury, then the other people also suffer injury just like it. Furthermore, these are the days We alternate among people in order for God to distinguish the faithful and to take from them witnesses. Moreover, God does not love the unjust.

وَلِيُمَحِّصَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَيَمْحَقَ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ ﴿١٤١﴾

And God thus purifies the faithful, and annihilates the unfaithful.

أَمْ حَسِبْتُمْ أَن تَدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْجَنَّةَ وَلَمَّا يَعْلَمِ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ جَٰهَدُوا۟ مِنكُمْ وَيَعْلَمَ ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ ﴿١٤٢﴾
[3:142]
Do you reckon to enter heaven without God distinguishing those who have strived among you as well as those who have steadfastly persevered?

وَلَقَدْ كُنتُمْ تَمَنَّوْنَ ٱلْمَوْتَ مِن قَبْلِ أَن تَلْقَوْهُ فَقَدْ رَأَيْتُمُوهُ وَأَنتُمْ تَنظُرُونَ ﴿١٤٣﴾

You have longed for death before you met it, now you are facing it and it is right before your eyes.

وَمَا مُحَمَّدٌ إِلَّا رَسُولٌۭ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهِ ٱلرُّسُلُ أَفَإِي۟ن مَّاتَ أَوْ قُتِلَ ٱنقَلَبْتُمْ عَلَىٰٓ أَعْقَٰبِكُمْ وَمَن يَنقَلِبْ عَلَىٰ عَقِبَيْهِ فَلَن يَضُرَّ ٱللَّهَ شَيْـًۭٔا وَسَيَجْزِى ٱللَّهُ ٱلشَّٰكِرِينَ ﴿١٤٤﴾
[3:144]
Furthermore, Mohammad was no more than a messenger like messengers before him who have passed on. If he dies or gets killed, would you then turn on your heels and flee? And whoever turns on his heels and flees will not harm God in the least. And God rewards those who are grateful.

Translation:Furthermore, Mohammad was no more than a messenger like messengers before him who have passed on. If he dies or gets killed, would you then turn on your heels and flee? And whoever turns on his heels and flees will not harm God in the least. And God rewards those who are grateful.

وَمَا كَانَ لِنَفْسٍ أَن تَمُوتَ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ ٱللَّهِ كِتَٰبًۭا مُّؤَجَّلًۭا وَمَن يُرِدْ ثَوَابَ ٱلدُّنْيَا نُؤْتِهِۦ مِنْهَا وَمَن يُرِدْ ثَوَابَ ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ نُؤْتِهِۦ مِنْهَا وَسَنَجْزِى ٱلشَّٰكِرِينَ ﴿١٤٥﴾
[3:145]
And no soul dies except with God ’s permission according to a specific recorded time. Furthermore, whoever wishes the good of this world, We will give him therefrom and whoever wishes the good of the Hereafter, We will give him therefrom. And We thus reward those who are grateful.

وَكَأَيِّن مِّن نَّبِىٍّۢ قَٰتَلَ مَعَهُۥ رِبِّيُّونَ كَثِيرٌۭ فَمَا وَهَنُوا۟ لِمَآ أَصَابَهُمْ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَمَا ضَعُفُوا۟ وَمَا ٱسْتَكَانُوا۟ وَٱللَّهُ يُحِبُّ ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ ﴿١٤٦﴾
[3:146]
And many prophets fought alongside many godly people in the cause of God ; they were not burdened by what afflicted them, nor were they weak nor did they give up. Moreover God loves the patient.

وَمَا كَانَ قَوْلَهُمْ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَا ٱغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَإِسْرَافَنَا فِىٓ أَمْرِنَا وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا وَٱنصُرْنَا عَلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ ﴿١٤٧﴾
[3:147]
And their only utterance was to say, our Lord forgive us our sins and our radical behaviors, and strengthen our foothold and grant us victory over the disbelieving people.

Translation:And their only utterance was to say, our Lord forgive us our sins and our radical behaviors, and strengthen our foothold and grant us victory over the disbelieving people.
