[88:1] Have you received the narration regarding the overwhelming?

[88:2] Some faces on that day will be subdued,-

[88:3] -laboring, tired,-

[88:4] -entering the intolerable Hell.

[88:5] They are given drinks from a boiling spring.

[88:6] There is no food for them except the useless kind.

[88:7] It is neither nutritious nor does it satisfy hunger.

[88:8] Some faces on that day will be joyful.

[88:9] They are pleased with their efforts.

[88:10] In exalted Paradise.

[88:11] They will hear no nonsense therein.

[88:12] Therein will be an ever-flowing spring.

[88:13] Therein will be luxurious furnishings-

[88:14] -and pitchers of drinks always available,-

[88:15] -and cushions in row after row,-

[88:16] -and magnificent carpets throughout.

[88:17] Do they not look at the camel and how it was created?

[88:18] And the sky, how it was raised high?

[88:19] And the mountains, how they are fixed in place?

[88:20] And the land, how it is surfaced?

[88:21] Therefore, continue to remind for indeed you are only a reminder.

[88:22] You have no power over them.

[88:23] Woe to the one who turns away and loses faith,-

[88:24] -t hen God will make him suffer a grave suffering.

[88:25] Surely to Us is their final destiny.

[88:26] Then indeed it is We who deal with their reckoning.
